Applied on a AD on Zip Recruiter not knowing it was a staffing agency. I got a call from Theresa Delgado within a few hours. I had already 3 interviews prior and i said why not. Went in did a quick application and with my qualifications they already Jobs lined up. Although they were a little pushy and fast paced, they just wanted to get me a job! Lol. Had an interview the VERY NEXT day and was hired that same day. Very professional. Yes they conduct interviews in front of each other, but not a problem if you're comfortable with it. I filled out all my information online after hearing some good things about this employment agency. I wrong. After finishing the application, I scheduled an appointment for an interview online on their website. (I was surprised, in a good way) since no other agency has ever made me schedule an interview this way. Most places mainly do walk ins appointments so I felt that maybe this place would actually treat their employees better than most places. I'm a recent college grad so I don't have a lot of experience, but surely I thought they could do something to find me a job. Well they called me the following day telling me that they don't do entry level jobs so they couldn't help me out. Part of the reason why I also was disappointed and upset is because I felt like I was falling victim to a scam. We as prospective employees are forced to provide them with very personal information in hopes of getting a job, this information includes social security number, phone, numbers, addresses, and all they do in return is call you and tell you that they can't do anything but will keep all your information in their system. Following this, I've gotten several emails telling me how great the company is, I'm just really hoping they don't start spamming me now that they have all my information. I knew it was going to be bad when I walked in and the office smelled like sour sweat. I couldn't believe an office of women could smell so horrible. Seriously, it was really disgusting. The interview process is a joke. You sit across from the recruiter while there are 3 other recruiters sitting at their desks ALL WITHIN 10 feet of you and ALL TALKING ON THE PHONE WHILE YOU ARE BEING ASKED INTERVIEW QUESTIONS! But the most incredible part is that they play loud music at the same time! Any normal agency has something called AN INTERVIEW room. If you do go there, try to get someone other than Theresa Delgado, she isn't too sharp. Better yet, find another agency, AppleOne Ventura is the most unprofessional I've ever dealt with. read more

Emelia was the only good thing about this office, she was smart and got out of this caddy work environment, all they did was gossip when I went in there and it was very unprofessional. Once Emelia left my experience here went downhill very fast! Claudia (apparently the manager) is rude and acts like she's got a chip on her shoulder and couldn't be bothered to call me back after she said she would and I called to follow up twice before I actually got angry remembering she had told me she would call me back after cutting off our already brief conversation and swiftly hanging up. Then I try to call to remind her twice and still has never called me back. I moved to the oxnard location and have never looked back. They have matched me with so many great opportunities and I couldn't be happier! If you are thinking of applying at a temporary agency, Apple one is hands down the greatest company, you get direct deposit and most of the time cards and paperwork can be done online or even through your phone! I went in for an interview thinking that this service was very professional for what it was, filled out a bunch of paper work, took tests on a computer for knowledge on Microsoft programs, data entry, etc and never received a call back. The woman that helped me was extremely rude, and sat on her high horse throughout the entire interview. Not to mention the office gossip amongst the women working at this facility was unprofessional and annoying. I don't trust this place. I went here hoping for a career type job, but also willing to accept temporary work in a clerical position. I am far over-qualified for a clerical position and so that should be a piece of cake to line up for me. However, as soon as the interview with Theresa Delgado started, I began to realize nothing would ever come from this. She was judgemental about my gaps in work history, she was knit-picking about my answers to her questions but I remained very pleasant. When she then spoke in a way that needed clarification, I politely asked her to clarify and she seemed annoyed or offended. She gave me the impression that she has a stack of people who she did not personally like based on her personal judgements. My name went in her judgemental "don't care" stack and a month later I have not been contacted from AppleOne or any employers. read more

I wasn't sure what to expect so I printed out my resume and a list of other interesting positions. She even called the other recruiters and asked them if the positions were available or not. AppleOne is a fantastic agency! First off, one must understand how a staffing agency works. Doing the pre-employment testing and paperwork does not guarantee you a job, and it also doesn't mean that you will be hired or assigned a position instantly. Having an interview with a potential employer also does not guarantee a job. Reading prior reviews, I just feel that the ratings were unfair due to the unrealistic level of expectation. Now on a personal experience I give AppleOne 5 stars. A few years ago I applied with AppleOne and Claudia was excellent. A few weeks later she helped place me with an interview and ultimately got hired full on with the employer. Moving forward a few years later I needed their assistance again. This time both Claudia and Theresa assisted me in the process and once again I've landed a job with an employer that I interviewed with. It was a great match both ways! It took over a month to get this position but I understand that good jobs are hard to come by, so have patience, understand the process, and use AppleOne! read more
