He basically crossed out the $500 I had left to pay and literally scribbled it out and wrote $1500 like I hadn't been paying his ass over the past six months!! And the funny part is he quoted me $1400 to machine both blocks and assemble one of them and I built the other engine on my own!!! Now I don't know where you're from but it doesn't cost $1500 to machine a block especially when you only charged $400 for the one I built myself!!! Lol then tried to lie and say I bought parts from them! What parts do you require to machine a block? Especially when I have my receipts that show all my parts were bought from eBay and I have the receipts!!! Kirk the manager is a liar and a thief he tried to drive the price up so ridiculously that he knew that I would pull my engine!!! He never even started putting my engine together!! And told me "I really don't even wanna build your motor now" and I'd been nothing but nice to this guy!!! If you don't wanna get ripped off like a number of people I've spoken with, this is what they do! But I went up there with my Attorney wife and we recorded the entire ordeal and he's such a bad liar he didn't even realize that he told on himself!!! Just basically stole my money!!! When I called about my problem with my car, the owner himself, Mr. Hopkins answered the phone. I told him the problem, he put me on hold for a few minutes, and then came back with this explanation to fix like he was a doctor. So much, that he used a doctors visit to describe how to fix my car. In essence, he was saying, "In order to figure out whats wrong with your car, it needs to be seen. So I payed them a visit the same day. When I arrived, I wasn't really greeted, as a matter of fact they looked at me like I shouldn't be there. Eventually, someone ask if they could help me. I told them specific instructions given by Mr. Hopkins in the earlier phone call to ask for Linda. They pointed me in her direction, she was mad busy and was a little disturbed that the owner suggested her personally to fix my problem. Linda, the service manager researched my vehicle problem and sent me to find their "Dodge Man" because he focuses on those type of cars. She took me to him and then he came back to the office. My problem with my car was something rare. They researched parts, labor and set me up a time to bring my car in. I walked out a little unease at their ability to fix my car so I ask, "are you sure you can fix it?" They confidently assured me they could but I still had an "uneasiness" about it. I mean I felt like I was more of a pest to them than a customer. Even though they gave me a better price than the dealership for the repairs, I opted to pass on their service. Hop's place does a lot of general repairs on all makes and models of vehicles, however, I would err in the way of caution for new model vehicles. Hops at the time of my visit had only one certified mechanic. They are hiring for more which I hope they get soon. Otherwise, only on certain automotive needs will I visit again.

At this point in the cars maintenance parts are harder and more expensive to replace. It costs me $0.00 - $1,000.00 a year to pass inspection. My insurance, sticker, PP tax etc about $100.00 annual. Hop's keeps those parts available and not at a marked up cost. I haven't had customer service issues, I request help and recieve service. As far as repairers I have not required their repair service.
