My sister and her husband purchased a pop-up camper as well as several accessories. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The selection of campers was admirable, the store was clean, well organized, and they had a good selection of related products. My sister also got a cool vintage/modern glow in the dark keychain with her camper purchase. They continue to shop here for camping items when needed. This guy who owns the place should NOT own a business. Went in to buy a trailer. Have our own financing. Were TOLD by the female sales associate, that until we gave driver's license numbers and a $1,000.00 deposit, no firm out the door numbers could be given. We had allot of questions, wanted warranty and generator info. All good legitimate questions to make the camping experience a positive one. So...we left and the owner then followed us to our vehicle, and was a snot. Finally, said we should come back and buy, but to leave our son home, who was trying to get technical questions answered. Since he is an engineer, he's intelligent and knows what we need. GET OFF MY PROPERTY this owner, Todd, I believe said. Well, don't worry. My trailer had a blown leaf spring? It's an Apex 208. We were taking an end of summer vacation out east. The trailer manufacturer said 2-weeks until a replacement part came in. This would put is into our vacation, by a couple days. The maintenance shop tracked it down and had the trailer repaired in a week. They also tracked down my 12V power system as my running lights were out and I couldn't diagnose it myself. Nice camper and the guys in the shop were super helpful. Reading the rest of these reviews we identified with several. We agree that once you pay they treat you like shit. Had a terrible experience just getting our already paid for camper off the lot. The owner Todd literally threw us off the lot for asking a question about when we would finally get our camper after paying for it and then waiting 7 weeks to pick it up. Todd called his lawyer, so he said, and wanted us arrested if we so much as walked on his property. I have cameras all over the place so don't even try to come and take it, he hollered at us! Customer service at it's best!! NOT How this guy manages to hang on to his business is a mystery since he is so volatile and obviously has an anger issue. We had some carbon monoxide problems on our first time out with it. Humm he is a vengeful guy but would he go that far? Never know. Talked to Patrick yesterday about a rockwood trailer I had seen Online on Sunday. He had emailed me back early Monday morning. In talking to him he was extremely knowledge about the trailer. Answered my questions about the trailer and also questions about my tow vehicle. As his store is about 200 miles from my location after our phone conversation, I feel very comfortable making the trip up to him and can hopefully buy the unit we discussed. I have bought 10 plus trailers from 1 dealer over the years but that company (finnigans Rv) no longer sells trailers. They had been reliable and I was extremely happy with their service. if I could give them no stars I would. we bought a new camper from them and had them install a washer/dryer combo. first day I used it, water started spewing out of the hose connections because they weren't even screwed on right. Todd wanted to charge $225 just to come out to check it. I argued that they hadn't installed it right so that would be their responsibility and I shouldn't be charged a service call. next he said, Well I can't send my employees into a HOSTAGE situation. He is poor in returning calls once the trailer is sold. if I had a choice between buying from him or going homeless, I would go homeless. NEVER AGAIN would I buy from him. read more

Have taken my RV there for the past 8 years but will never go back after recent treatment by the new owner. Made an appointment in August to get unit winterized (45 min. job) on October 26, 2021. Took unit in the evening prior so it was the 3rd unit waiting by the bay doors. Job wasn't done on the 26th and vehicle was moved and stored in their lot overnight. At 4:10 pm on 27th received a call that when tech went to get unit for the work (finally) discovered catalytic converter had been stolen overnight. When we asked what responsibility/liability the Center had because if the work had been done as scheduled it wouldn't even have been there, the owner became loud, rude and aggressive. He, in my opinion, acted like a bully. Stated they had no liability, they'd called the police and then made us leave threatening us with a lawyer if we mentioned the incident on Facebook or social media. I have made NO inaccurate statements herein. Customer service is certainly a priority. I am a retired veteran, USN 20 years and have never encountered such disrespect. read more

We traveled from Oklahoma to Wisconsin. We had an issue and needed to order a black tank for our 2021 Forrest River. We called to see if we could possibly get one while in WI. Dawn and Sara helped by calling/emailing the manufacturer. We ordered the tank 5/29 after they ensured us that it would arrive within the week. They knew our situation and that we had to leave for Oklahoma Friday the 4th. We would not order if it couldn't be done. I didn't call to ask anything Tuesday but on Wednesday, I called to inquire of shipping status. Although we are paying $70 in shipping there is no tracking. Friday we called and found out it hasn't even shipped yet. We asked for a refund and even had to speak to the general manager who refused even though it hadn't shipped from the manufacturer!!!!! He said it was a special order which was the first we were told that. I asked if they could send it to our house in Oklahoma and it's been 6 hours and haven't heard back. We are basically out $200 and a bunch of time because they do not care. Very disappointed in the customer service after the sale. Money came out of our account immediately of course! Hoping maybe the owner could repond to this review and help me understand why we can't get a refund after promises were made to us that weren't kept. Brittany read more

I would highly recommend Appleton Camping Center. Had an issue with my water heater. Matt was sure it was the Thermal Cut-Off. He told me how to check it & then what part to get - cost $20.00. That was the main issue. It was then flaring up & need to be blown out. Matt had me bring the RV in & blew the tube out & adjusted the pilot flame. For free! I will take my RV there for any future repairs. What great service! read more

Very unimpressive and unprofessional! They cancelled our pop-up reservation, which was made mid-June, on 09/10, stating that they were "discontinuing their rental program at the end of September". Our reservation was for 10/03. The manager or owner (Maury) whom I spoke with also stated that the situation was too complex to be able to honor their commitment a week past the discontinuation of the rental program. This type of logic is par for the course with the other interactions that my family had with this company. In the long run, it's probably for the best that we can wash our hands of them.
