After driving down from Door County, putting a deposit on a car, arranging a second party mechanic review, and after they agreed to make the necessary repairs, they sold it to another buyer that we were told had their financing fall through the day before it was shown to us. Warranty is a joke, they will do cheap fixes just to get by until warranty runs out. My daughter purchased a used Honda Accord from Appleton Motorcars and it turned out to be a nightmare! First of all, the 1 year warranty included with it, covers NOTHING! Within weeks of purchasing, her check engine light went on and the codes indicated it was the catalytic converter...not covered. The remote start was not wired correctly and caused a multitude of problems. Her gas line had been replaced with a rubber tube that we found dragging on the ground one day after it caused a hole and all the fuel leaked out. It has been secured with zip ties. Today we discovered her brakes lines are being held together with zip ties as well. She went to a tire shop to have 4 new tires put on and was told they could not do the job because of how shoddy the brakes lines were. They were afraid the lift would sever them. We definitely learned our lesson to have an independent mechanic inspect the car before purchasing. Con artists who prey on customers! read more
