I love this clinic!…read more Small clinic with super energetic and friendly staff. This has always been my experience, and I've been here several times. It's hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:15 am-12 noon, 1 pm-3:45 pm. It's best to go during the morning. They are closed from 12 noon to 1 pm so I suggest if you're coming in the afternoon, line up around 12:45 pm to be assured you'll see a doctor by 3:45 pm. It does get fairly busy. They have doctors available for appointments, just give the clinic a call and they will be happy to serve you. Make sure that if it's your first time to come, bring a valid health card and two pieces of ID! There is no t.v in the waiting area, so I suggest to bring something to entertain yourself. The selection of magazines are limited. I live downtown, and this clinic is my go to spot! If you live in the area, you should come here!

Went for refill of a medication and was told I should go see an NP instead and when I mentioned I couldn't comfortably afford it, was met with a mocking tone about it. Went on two different days and didn't see anyone either because I can't spend more than 6+ hours at a clinic just waiting when I have to work. They got as far as faxing my pharmacy but gave them an incorrect number to send files to. They have huge issues with communicating information about cost of services and transferring any kind of files at all their locations from what I've heard from others. Walk in only, even if you're rostered, no appointments with the same doctor which causes issues with consistency of care. They very obviously take on way more patients than they can handle, and do not care about quality of care. Ended up digging out of my emergency fund to see an NP elsewhere.

They told me that they had no Doctors at the site and I would have to be seen by a NP (Nurse Practitioner) , which for whatever reason carries a charge of $97, and is not covered by OHIP ,nor my health plan with my employer (Government of Canada) as I found out later. They did not bother informing me that the fee was not covered by anyone , and if that wasn't bad enough Their service was subpar at best and the Nurse had an absolute terrible bedside manor. After talking for about 5 minutes she was done and prescribed some medication. when she came back into the room I wanted to inform her that I was also experiencing some chest pains, to which she replied "Sorry, I'm out of time", having spent 5 minutes with me. My recommendation is to AVOID THIS CLINIC LIKE THE PLAGUE !!

However, I did not believe I made any threats. Despite this, the police were called, leaving me feeling humiliated and distressed. I also have video evidence relating to this incident. I challenge the clinic, including Dr. Chan, who was scheduled to attend to me, to preserve and produce any CCTV footage so the events can be reviewed in full. As someone living with medical conditions, I left feeling that I was not treated with dignity or compassion. I believe I experienced discrimination, and I intend to pursue the appropriate avenues to have this matter reviewed. This experience has completely eroded my trust in this clinic. I was also reminded of a previous incident involving my younger brother, who has a physical disability, where our family felt he was not treated appropriately. Based on these experiences, we will be seeking care elsewhere. What was requested was my OHIP card and I presented a copy on my phone as that is what I have always presented even on the first day I registered at this clinic. It is also what I use at ER and all walk in clinics and have never had issues.

Registration started at 830 but there is a cut off to ensure the walk in hours finish on time. There is no secretary but a computer to sign in. If you are not tech savy, this may be a problem for you. The Doctor I saw listened to my concerns and helped me promptly. I didn't feel rushed but at the same time he has to keep the ball rolling. Keep in mind if you have an out of province health card you will have to pay for the visit. You will get money back if you go online and request it. Only thing is it takes 5 months to receive the cheque. Great service and straight to the point. I waited a bit over 6 hours which I think is decent compared to waiting at the ER for 15 hours. Keeping in mind this was their downtown location.

They take the time to hear your concerns and what you are looking for to make your life easier and they also take time to explain the options process and different devices that are available to help your needs.
