Terrible Service. I was told that for 150$ they would deliver, install, and remove the old dishwasher. Wouldnt remove the old dishwasher because of a couple bugs in it, which i get, but they were told about it up front and took our money anyway. Then we had a leak which damaged the basement ceiling. They told me it was my icemaker hose and its not their fault. Well, it wasn't leaking before the install and its leaking now and the installer was the only one under the sink. They Lie and dont take responsibility for their crap work. read more

This company came to my house to fix my fridge. They came two time, never fix my fridge and the charge my almost a 100 dollars because the technician came 2 time without any solution. I still waiting for money back. read more

The self-cleaning function of our oven malfunctioned and refused to unlock the oven door. Appliance Maritimes booked an appointment quickly; the repairman arrived when he was supposed to, was courteous and efficient, and patiently answered all our questions. He succeeded in unlocking the oven (not an altogether easy task at all) and identified the erring part. The next day the office called and apologized that after a search, they had found that part was no longer being manufactured. We appreciated their prompt follow-up. The tab was $80 including tax (for almost an hour's work), and we have a functioning oven again - we can put up without the self-cleaning function. I would recommend them any time. read more

We have a fridge from them that has failed 4 times in it's first year. Their repair people are great but after 3 tries I don't have confidence in the fridge and after replacing it's contents now 3 times, (4 times if this ever gets resolved) we would appreciate them making an effort on our behalf to get this lemon replaced. I called Appliance Maritimes due to their high scores on sites like Yelp. I ended up very disappointed. I called to make an appointment and after taking my info the man who answered informed me that they would call by 9am on Monday (it was Thursday when I called) in order to arrange a time. I took the morning off work with the hopes that I could get them to come to my house before lunch. By 9 am they hadn't called. I ran out to run some local errands (taking my cell phone with me) and when I return at 945 there was a slip on my door saying they had tried to swing by, and that I should call to rebook. Any chance that I would accept that there had been a misunderstanding was gone when I called and talk to them on the phone. Completely unconcerned that a potential customer was dissatisfied with their service, and unwilling to find a way to correct the situation. I wouldn't recommend Appliance Maritimes read more

I have had Appliance Maritimes come to my home twice - once to fix my dryer and once to fix a broken washing machine and dishwasher. Both times they were courteous and either fixed the item or advised that it would be better to purchase a new item. I'd recommend them highly. read more

Appliance Repair represent Comerco and HomeDepot in Nova Scotia and are not all customer focused. My Maytag washer less than 24 months old has failed for a second time. I contacted Comerco immediately via their web app and 24 hours later called the 1 800 number to find no record of my intake. Upon supplying the same information to the CSR I then was notified that Appliance Maritimes had my service request. The next morning I called Appliance Maritimes to be told they had not yet received my Service Request. I gave them the information again and was told I had to wait a week for a service call. I went on cancelation list and was seen within 3 days. The service technician said they would return within a week with the part to complete the repair. On the day of the repair I received a voice Mail that stated the technician was not in and that the company had no power. I called the company within 10 minutes of the voice mail only for may calls to go unanswered (The phone rang with no one ansering and no voice mail). I again called Comerco and was told that there was nothing they could do. I escalated the matter and they have issued a new service request to another company and based on this site appears to also be Appliance Repair. I at least was able to leave a voice Mail. I am over two weeks without a washing machine. read more

The fan in my fridge seized up and Appliance Maritime sent a technician out the next day. The receptionist was friendly and efficient while setting up my appointment. The technician arrived when he said he would and was very personable and knowledgeable. He fixed the problem while explaining what it was and he was in and out in no time. I was very happy with the experience and will definitely call them again if needed! read more

I am left very unimpressed by this company and the service technician. It took five (so far) service calls to fix two fridges. Not only did the tech not listen to me when I told him what was wrong with my Samsung he ordered the wrong part twice, and mis-diagnosed my other fridge three times. The tech was very careless and even when pushing my fridge back in place he damaged/smashed the outlet cover. Will never be recommending this company. read more

Called for an appointment and was told I had to wait over a week. I figured they were busy and because of the pandemic Probably short handed. I got my appointment and on the day of the appointment the technician called at 9 am to tell me to wait until 4 pm before he would be here. Not a 9 AM appointment that I made but rather a phone call to say they would get to it that day at some time. Even the cable companies have a better system than that. 7 full hours I had to wait for my 9AM appointment. They close at 430 BTW. He arrived on time At 4. I had the refrigerator pulled out and ready for him to work on. He asked what the problem was and I told him and showed what was happening. He said we needed a part and looked up the cost and I said ok. At NO time did he actually inspect anything on the refrigerator. I asked how long it would take and he explained that it was between 3-5 days usually but because of the pandemic it could take longer. That I understood. I then asked how long after they got the part it would be installed and I mentioned that waiting another 2 weeks was unacceptable. He immediately said no that would not happen. He explained that when they receive the part they call me and set up a time within a day or 2 at most. A week and a half later I called and was told they had the part. Nobody called to set a appointment I called them. Had I not I'm sure i would have never been called. So I ask when the appointment is and they said at least a week. I then said, loudly, I was told a day or 2 at most. I said it was unacceptable and they said they are busy. That is why I asked the technician in the first place. I said it was unacceptable and the person on the phone said to hold for a minute which I did. Once she came back, a short wait, she said nothing they can do and if I want the appointment or not. This made me upset but instead of doing my signature screaming on the phone or showing up at their office I took the appointment. She did however say they would put me on a cancellation list. Back to the "inspection" remember he never done anything not even look to see if the part wasn't working or if it was just a blocked line. Either way it came time for him to leave. I mentioned the coupon on their webpage. It was 5 dollars off. Not a big deal but still. I was told because of the pandemic they are not offering that coupon. He charged me the full amount. Only 5 dollars but again it's my 5 dollars. Then he left. Probably 15 minutes total time from when he walked through the door to when he left and 5 minutes of that was paying for the call. At the very least he could have pooped the back off to see if it was actually the issue or not. I will update this review once they arrive again and see if they actually fix the issue or because of not looking at it ordered the wrong item. read more

Charged me over $450 for a replacement timer for my washing machine as it wasn't wringing out the clothes. 2 months later, still the same problem with the machine and they tell us the warranty is only 30 days. Should have just bought a new machine in the first place. read more

This company knows the value of treating a customer right - even when the customer isn't a customer. I wrote them asking their advice for a problem I'm having with my dishwasher (which, by the way, they responded to promptly by phone -- just as they say they will on their website!). A lovely, friendly lady named Connie called me and said she had a word with one of their technicians regarding my situation. She said she would save me the cost of a visit and told me over the phone what a technician would simply tell me: get rid of my dishwasher and buy a new one (she said that because it had been sitting unused for so long (almost a year), many of the moving parts and seals would have dried up and, potentially, been rendered useless by this point). She said she wanted to save me time, money, and aggravation. I couldn't tell her enough how grateful I was not only for her brutal honesty, but for treating me like one of her paying customers. I'm awarding 4 stars simply because I can't comment on their repair service. But based on the level of service I received from Connie over the phone, I'm confident their repair service is equally matched in quality and care. If ever I do need an appliance repair service again, I know who to call. read more
