Up here, it's hard to come by a reliable place for appliances, or a place in general. East Huron supplied some appliances to our home many years ago so we came in here to take a look at stoves. Jeremy, the sales person, was incredibly friendly and helpful as we browsed their store. We were able to find a stove and got it installed a few weeks later. They even hauled the old one away! It had a minor issue, and they were able to come back and service it with no problems!

Put half down and said I would call when I had time to be there to have it installed. I asked for a morning delivery and on the morning of the delivery I received a call from them at 7:30am to see if they could start heading to my cottage which was great. The pair of delivery guys (unfortunately didn't get their names) showed up just before 8am removed the old hood and range and installed the new ones in less than an hour. Completely professional and I couldn't be happier. I don't need a new refrigerator right now but I know where I am going to buy it. 100% satisfied.

My double ovens were the 1st to need repair. #1 the double ovens were hard to get out of the cabinets to get to the part. They did & sent the part to Jenn-Air to be fixed. Mr. Appliance will not put in a part not made by Jenn-Air. #2 Refrigerator -this one was quite difficult. After getting it out of the Cabinet-the repair went great & they vacuumed behind the fridge & wipe the top off. They will be called when my Jenn-Air dishwasher goes out. My appliances are 19 years old-now they are like new again. Maybe another 19 years before I have to replace them. The price they charge is very reasonable.

The drain line is still set up exactly the same as when we moved in and has worked perfectly fine. We were even told to call a plumber, and the plumber confirmed there was no issue. * Same visit: $287 to replace a dryer belt (part #WE03X29897), which is a ~$10 part and a relatively quick repair. * Visit 2: After about an hour of diagnosing, the technician blew off a sensor and the washer immediately started working again. * Visit 3: After the washer was already functioning, we were then advised to replace the suspension rods ($155). Total paid was around $660. The main issue isn't just the price which is absurd for about 60-70 dollars worth of parts--it's that the problem wasn't correctly diagnosed from the start, and we were charged across multiple visits before arriving at a solution. There was also a repair performed that did not appear necessary. Being publicly called a liar instead of being asked for clarification was unprofessional, Rick. Sharing this so others can ask more detailed questions upfront about diagnosis, pricing, and necessity of repairs.

We had a very bad experience with Affordable Appliance. We called them out to fix a loud squeaking…read morenoise during the wash cycle on our Hotpoint washing machine. The technician came out and charged us $151 for the repair. Right after he left, the washer was still squeaking, so we called him immediately. He told us to let it run and said he would call us when he got home to check if the problem stopped. He never called. During the very next load, the washer actually became much worse. It started grinding and making a loud knocking noise during the spin cycle, which it had never done before. It also sprayed oil all over a load of clothes, ruining them. We called him the next day and left a message. No return call. My husband called again the following day. Still no response. Our washer is now in worse condition than it was before he worked on it, and we are out $151 with no follow-up or accountability. Very disappointed with the service and lack of communication.

I found Rapson Electric in Harbor Beach, MI and called and spoke with Jeff. I explained the situation, that I didn't know what was wrong with the appliances, if they used gas, age of the appliances, etc. I also discussed the possibility of having to replace one or both appliances with used or new. He went out to check out the problem, texted back that both appliances just needed simple, INEXPENSIVE repairs. He went out the next day and repaired both machines. He does not take credit cards but is content to wait for a cashier's check to take care of the balance. It doesn't get any better than this.
