My GE dishwasher has been giving me hell since I got it two years ago and despite multiple visits from GE Support (Bodewell) as well as inspection from our GC, it kept breaking. I was able to get service the very next day concerning a washing machine leaking water while draining. Eli showed up promptly and was very courteous. He was able to diagnose the problem within minutes as one he would not be able to address as it involved a plumbing issue. This is a distinction one ought to be aware of. They solve all manner of appliance issues that I assume are more mechanical and electrical in nature. If you feel you have a plumbing issue, you ought to call a plumber. Considering this 2 minute diagnosis cost around $100, he was extremely kind and offered more of his time to examine my other appliances and offer some cleaning and tips to keep them running. I called Appliance Repair Brooklyn/Global Solutions to fix (2) two stoves, I was charged $299.00 to install a ignitor switch that cost $12.00,it takes 8 minutes to install (3 minutes waiting for the oven to heat after installment) I spoke to the owner about the charge, she says its $250 or $275 plus tax...Joseph chose to charge me at the higher end, I am of the belief that there are different prices for different people. I bought the other switch from McCombs which I installed in15 minutes. I think 99 percent of the ovens that are not heating are a result of a burnt out ignitor switch. Found out that the igniter was no longer working and had to be replaced. My only complaint was that the price was pretty steep for a part that costs $40-$70 and labor that only took 15-20 min. Honestly, if I could give ARB ten stars, I would. Daniel called about 10 minutes before arriving within the 10-1 window, and fixed my Miele dishwasher in about half an hour. When wrapping up, I mentioned to him that my Subzero refrigerator was acting up, and he took a quick look and made some recommendations for repair. ARB was contacted at 8:45Pm and were out the next morning (with constant updates on exact timing). It was quickly diagnosed and parts needed to be ordered that would take 2-3 days.
