Alex is the BEST! Our refrigerator had a loud running noise that was happening on and off. He diagnosed the problem, and told us things about our refrigerator that we never even knew. He replaced the part that needed replacing. He asked if we had changed the water filter, which we never even knew needed to be replaced every 6 months. I had a great experience with this appliance repair company. My 10 year old Electrolux ventless dryer started beeping and showed a new icon that had never shown up before (see picture) as well as Error Code 22. Searching online it appears there was an issue with the draining of water from the dryer. I looked for an appliance repair company that worked on Electrolux dryers and found a review saying that CityTech serviced this brand and also had good reviews. I contacted them and was able to quickly make an appointment for a technician to come in. They were upfront that the visit would be $125 which would go towards the repair and parts if I decided to move forward. At the day of the visit, Alex was actually 15 minutes early. He came in and within 30 minutes was able to diagnose the issue and said the control board for the drain pump needed to be replaced. He offered to get the OEM part $600 or a part off eBay $350. I decided to go with the eBay part. Alex said when he came back if the new part didn't work I would not be charged. A week later, Alex came back with the part, installed it...and it was a defective part! At this point Alex suggested I look at getting a new dryer and suggested Bosch. I asked if we could try another eBay part and he was good with that and had suggested a new dryer if I wanted to get back to using a dryer ASAP. Alex ordered the part from eBay. A week later, on Alex's third visit he came with the new part from eBay as well as a new drain pump. He installed both and tested out the dryer and asked me to throw in some damp towels to test it out. It worked great. It's been difficult searching for an appliance professional, but I found the best at CityTech. I found Alex at CityTech through Yelp. Alex was responsive to my initial request for help fixing a problematic Electrolux Dryer. Not only did Alex answer my questions clearly, Alex also contacted Electrolux directly to find out the details of my extended warranty and the parts needed to repair the dryer. I didn't even ask him to do this, he did this on his own. Alex is extremely professional and was easy to setup the initial appointment. Within 30 seconds of diagnosis runs on the dryer, Alex discovered the problem with the dryer - a faulty electrical issue that the technician from Electrolux did not properly diagnose. These guys were great. I had called Sears to fix my dishwasher, which wasn't draining, but they didn't show up. So, the next day, I called CityTech at 10 AM, and they had someone fixing my dishwasher by 8 PM. On a Friday night. The tech, Vlad, was super knowledgable. He saw the standing water in my dishwasher and immediately identified what was wrong. (I think it was a problem with the water pump.) He said he could either try and clean it and fix it then. If he was successful, he said the total cost would be about $300 (guaranteed for 90 days). If he was unable to fix it, he said there would be no charge -- except for the $125 diagnostic fee (which went toward the $300 and would go toward any repair fee). Or he could come back with a replacement part in a few days. I opted for Door #1. Vlad worked for about an hour and found that there were slivers of glass in the pump (from three broken glasses earlier in the week). He fixed it, and my dishwasher seems to be running well. On his way out, I asked if he could work on other appliances because my wine cooler wasn't working well. He said they worked on any appliance. He said he thought it was a Freon issue but would have to come back BC my wine cooler needed to be defrosted before he could do any diagnostic work. I texted the company, and they said Vlad likely could be back early in the week. Would totally use these guys if I had another appliance issue. read more
