Javidan came to the house and was very professional told me the problem and the price and it was fixed with quality workmanship. Frustrating experience with multiple visits for a dishwasher issue. I paid for an initial diagnostic and was told everything was fine, but the problem persisted. On a second visit, I was advised to replace a part and paid over $600--yet the issue was still not resolved and another repair was suggested. Communication was poor throughout: repeated calls and emails went unanswered, there was a last-minute cancellation, and no follow-up as promised. I had to chase them down myself. I still have not received the requested refund amount and have had to bring the issue to the Consumer Protection board of Ontario. My 4 year old Miele dishwasher was not draining. I was assured that the technician who was coming had Miele training. He arrived and without even looking inside said it was the pump. It would cost almost a thousand dollars to replace. I asked him to look further as I did not think it was the pump because after I bailed it more water came in so it was more likely the sewer line. He simply repeated the price and said Miele would charge me double. I paid for the service call and refused to replace the pump. Miele trained techncians know how to drain a dishwasher when it is not working but this man didn't know how. So much for being Miele trained! I called in a plumber who snaked my lines and the dishwasher works perfectly. I saved myself a thousand dollars. Replacing the pump would not have solved my problem. read more

Have called company multiple times and they don't answer phone or it goes to a fast busy. When I finally got hold of someone and was questioning why no one has followed up re missing part, the customer service rep hung up and did not answer phone when I called back. My mother, who is 82 years old, paid $268.80 for a repair to her refrigerator, only for it to stop working again the very next day. Since she does not have a cell phone or computer, my brother and I have been desperately trying to coordinate with your company to schedule another repair, but our efforts have been met with complete disregard and horrible customer service. Initially, I was impressed that someone came out quickly to fix her fridge, but that impression has been shattered. After paying, it seems your company has completely neglected her needs. Most disturbing is the recent interaction where your technician called her and said he would come "sometime tomorrow" but refused to confirm a specific time and told her, "DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN." speaks to her disrespectfully, and the tone of that call was appalling. Furthermore, I find it unacceptable that your technician, who apparently brought his son and offered her ice cream, treats her with such dismissiveness and rudeness. My brother finally managed to speak with someone, only to be hung up on multiple times when trying to get a proper response or resolution. Second, though you have the option to cancel the technician's visit not less than 3 hours in advance, it does not mean what you may think--this is not a real option... Third, even though no one ever came to your house, they will email you an invoice for "Diagnose and Repair of Electric Appliance" (attached). Terrible Customer Service Experience Two months ago, the oven and dishwasher at our rental condo stopped working, so I contacted this company for repairs. They diagnosed the issue and informed me that it would take 3-4 weeks to order the necessary parts. They sent me a diagnosis invoice of $198 + HST, which I paid within 24 hours. They also quoted an additional $377 for the repair, which I agreed to. Four weeks later, having heard nothing, I followed up and was told someone would call me back. No one did. After two more follow-up calls over the next two weeks, I was finally informed that the parts had not yet arrived and that I would be contacted once they did. Seven weeks later, I received a text saying the parts had arrived. We scheduled an appointment for Friday at 4 PM. Our tenant waited, but no one showed up. When I called at 5:35 PM, I was told they were running behind schedule and would arrive after 7 PM. They finally showed up at 8:03 PM. After completing the repair, they called me and demanded immediate payment before leaving the premises. I explained that I was not home and would pay within 24 hours, as I had done previously. The technician insisted on immediate payment, threatening to remove the newly installed parts and reschedule the appointment if I didn't comply. This was the most absurd thing I had ever heard! I do not recommend Appliance Repair Expert My dishwasher had stopped working - no water was filling into the washer and we could see there was a small leak coming from the bottom of the appliance. I searched online for a reputable appliance repair company and came across Appliance Repair Expert (on Homestar). Reviews seemed ok - a little mixed - but decided to give it a try. I left a message and someone did call back and said they would give us a 30$ discount for a first time call. We set an appointment time. A man named Thomson called me to tell me he would be at my home 1 hour before the set time, which was fine as I was available. He came in and looked at the dishwasher. First, he said a valve was leaking, and simply tightening it may stop the leaking issue. Then, he determined that I needed a new circulation pump motor assembly for $390 which would fix the water not filling into the dishwasher problem. He told me parts and labour would be approx $700. I thought it was too much, and when I said so, he said he could give me a discount, making the total $610. At that point, he asked for a $450 deposit. I felt uncomfortable, because I was worried he would take the money and not do the work, but he assured me he would come back to fix my dishwasher. I paid the deposit, even though I felt that it was a lot, and for a company I was not familiar with. On the other hand, I felt I was already committed, as I already had to pay $100 for the service call. This all happened on a Monday. By Friday, I hadn't heard anything, and I called him back to see the status - at first he was confused as to who I was. He said it would be another few days. He returned the next Monday, and honestly he acted disrespectful. The weather was bad, but came to my home with his shoes on - was abrupt with me, avoided eye contact, was on his phone, and was behaving as if he was doing me a favour. He fixed the circulation pump motor assembly and got the dishwasher to work again. He said he would tighten the valve so it would not leak but asked me to monitor it for leaks. We put a small pan under it to catch the leak. He put the dishwasher back in, and left a piece off that in order to see if there was still a leak. The dishwasher was now sitting in the counter space 2 inches lower than it was before - leaving a big gap. He was rough with it, and he tore a piece off my countertop when installing it. He also left dirt and grime all over the face of the dishwasher, which was really disgusting, I felt it was very unprofessional. He took the old assembly he had removed with him, he said to dispose of it. The next morning, we woke up to water flowing from the basement ceiling below the dishwasher. I texted him immediately to let him know. I also told him that I did not trust him, or his work, and that he had taken more money and made the issue a lot worse. I had a feeling that this was not a real company as I had tried calling the "head office" and never was able to reach anyone. I contacted another company to come and fix the issue. The new technician (who came highly recommended) came and said that the water leak was because Thomson from Appliance Repair Expert tightened the valve too tight and caused the damage. He also said that the circulation pump assembly was likely not the reason for the water not filling the basin. A new circulation pump would be needed if the water was filling but not moving - which was not the case. He also agreed that the manner he reinstalled the dishwasher was a problem. It was 2" lower and on a forward tilt, which would cause pooling and more water damage if it was left as is. The new technician fixed the valve and reinstalled the dishwasher. He left it clean and in great working order. read more

I went with the first one that called back. Web page looked professional, person on the phone explained that it was $89 for them to come out, that they would provide a quote and go from there. He showed up the next morning on time, spent about 20 minutes dismantling my dishwasher then showed me some broken glass which may have damaged the pump. Appliance Repair Expert is a complete scam. Make sure never to be dumb enough to call these scammers like I did. A technician came to repair my dryer 2 weeks ago. I ordered 2 parts which never came, and I got no follow up. I called them (not the other way around) and they told me the technician no longer works with them and I will get a refund. Next day, still no refund. I called them (not the other way around) and they told me I need to send an e-mail to the manager Andrew Smith, like that's not the most generic fake name ever. I send an e-mail, they text me the next day that my refund has been processed. It was still pending in my Visa account after 4 business days. Never posted in my account. I've disputed the original charge but that takes a while to resolve. I never received the refund in my account, so I left them a negative review on their multiple Google company pages, as it appears they conduct their scam in different cities across Canada. They saw my reviews, called me and served me some bull about having an issue with their system, and told me they'll send me an e-transfer if I delete my negative reviews. Right. Please be warned. The positive reviews on Google are most likely largely fake. I don't care about the money really, but scammers are the worst. This company seems to be committing fraud. Similar story to a lot of other reviewers - they took our money to allegedly order parts for our dishwasher and our fridge. We chased them for months trying to get an appointment to actually do the repairs. They would book and then not show up. When we would call their office, they would conveniently drop the call.
