We love these guys so much...we used them recently again, for a third time and like the two previous times, the knowledgeable technician saved us hundreds of dollars by fixing our dishwasher by not having to replace it. We had mixed experiences with our 48" fridge and freezer repair. Our initial issue was related to the freezer not cooling and making a very loud noise when running. This took 3 visits to resolve with the first being a bit of a misdiagnosis. After that- that issue was resolved fairly easily. The second request was for fridge and freezer gasket replacement. This was (and still is) a complete disaster. The gasket has been changed, installed a second time, reordered, and reinstalled- without the issue being rectified. A heat gun was used by the tech at the initial installation to help the gasket expand. This damaged the inside of the door and the freezer compartment still isn't as it should be in terms of the gasket forming a proper seal. We were essentially told the issue with the seal had to do with "internal insulation degradation" and that there is nothing more to be done. We are left with the option to use paper towels to expand the gasket so it reaches the body of the freezer- still with no actual seal. No attempt to compensate for the time, effort, and lack of ability to fix the issue on the part of the company. The tech we dealt with is very professional, personable, and helpful, but the lack of the company's accountability for the job not being completed to a satisfactory level leaves me not so happy to recommend this company to anyone- particularly since the simpler of the 2 jobs we requested was the one that has still not been resolved. The cost of the services was also excessive given the number of times we had to have them out and the fact that it is still not repaired properly. read more

Terrible. They scratched 2 - large 10" scratch marks in our brand new hardwood floors - we saw right after they left. They also didn't hook up the fridge waterline, so we called to get them to come back to fix it but they refused to come back to fix what we had paid them for unless we pay for a NEW service call. The only positive is the call center always answers your calls promptly. Also the installer asked us to pay him in cash, and said he can't take credit card, which means we would have no record of the transaction. Shady and not trustworthy and now we need to find another company to fix their mistakes. read more

The same fridge freezer was again having water freezing at the bottom. Called on another repair service to do the work. He checked and said thermostat isn't a problem at all. Just need to clean up the drain which he did. So IF such is the case, then Maydone isn't honest in their repair work or not the best at proper diagnostics. Then again, I don't recall if Maydone provided proof that the thermostat failed. I don't have the old part anymore. First I wanted to ask a question to confirm my washing machine can be repaired but they would not let you speak to a technician. All they would do is schedule an appointment which costs $99 plus tax. After complaining about that, I got a call. This person was really great & gave me a quote over the phone. I scheduled the service and, even tho they had the model number of my machine and knew it was dammed off from the rest of the floor by a step, only one person came and he could not move the machine on his own. Three days later, 2 people came and completed the repair (ironically, one was on the phone almost the whole time). Finally, I start to do laundry. However, the cold cycle only runs hot water. I had to have another service call because they had switched the hoses when connecting them. Bottom line, they are good at repairs but not on top of their game with customer service. read more

I called this company about a week ago because my Fridge was not working or cooling properly. I was told the Service Call would cost $80.00, which I agreed to. The Service Technician by the name of Alex came to our home to take a look at our Fridge. He removed the back panel to look at some key components of our Fridge. But wanted more money just to look and diagnose other components of the fridge to determine the problem or issue. I refused to pay him additional money because the $80.00 I paid him was to cover the cost of the service call and to determine what the issue or problem was with my fridge. He never told me what the exact problem with my fridge was. In my case, I don't feel he did the proper job nor did he take the right amount of time in diagnosing my fridge to determine the problem. He also was very rude. He used some foul language during our conversation which shows he is very rude and unprofessional. And for these reasons, I don't recommend this company to anyone when needing your appliances repaired. If you are looking and in need to get any of your appliances serviced and repaired, please do yourself a favour, it's best not to call this company and look elsewhere! read more

Just called them (12:30pm). Got James on the phone. They can send someone later today between 3-6pm. They asked for a picture of the model/serial number plate (didn't specify that it was on the inner lip of the top opening, so I didn't have to pull out the washer). I called them back to ask if the machine needed to be emptied (we were in the middle of a cycle when it stopped); but James didn't know: the technician will tell us. The visit was $80, which could be applied to the repair. I'll update this after the repair tech's visit. Alex, the technician, called about 20 minutes before showing up at my door. He was wearing a mask, and changed his outdoor shoes for indoor slippers when he came in. He was able to determine that the transmission was shot, and we wouldn't be able to purchase a new one because they don't make these any more. (It was a Kenmore, which is out of business.) But we did have a nice conversation about what kind of washer/dryer I might want to replace it with; and the advantages of front-load vs top-load machines (front are more efficient with water/electricity). All in all, a very nice visit. Though I still think $80 for the visit is a bit steep. But that seems to be the going rate. read more

I chose this company on Yelps recommendation. When I called for a service to assess a Marvel wine fridge beeping they quoted two prices and charged the higher 130.00 because of the Marvel brand. it took them all of 5 minutes to diagnose the problem needed the payment and said would get back with the cost of the part. when they did get back couldn't find the part even though they assured me the dealt with Marvel parts. told me if o found it on Amazon (which I couldn't) they would come back. Called Maydone, based on Yelp and Google reviews, for repair on KitchenAid side-by-side fridge/freezer. Unit was working fine, but cabinet was getting hot and ice-maker not working. Charged $99 service fee for cursory 15 minute call, when told it would need new compressor, fans, ice unit and sent quote for $3,094 within 30 minutes of leaving our home - almost as much as new unit!! We contacted second provider (referred by manufacturer), who arrived within 24 hours, diagnosed the issue as fan assembly and a damaged plastic water line, who ordered parts and returned unit to full health with total bills, including both service calls and all parts, of $339 - 10% of Maydone quote, which can only be seen as a scam. AVOID!!!! read more

I didn't receive any response/reply to my emails or phone calls for weeks. after escalation the owner called and said it cant be fixed.
