This place was recommended to me to by another service person to fix my Samsung ai washer dryer. I communicated that the washer was showing an error code for communication (AC). They scheduled someone then canceled on me. Rescheduled someone only to find out they couldn't fix it. They are saying I have to pay their diagnostic fee even though they wasted my time and did nothing. When I communicated this, Amy, who answered the phone started yelling at me about their policy. IMO she should have asked more questions like other repair services or at the least offered a discounted rate. Very unprofessional and unreliable. read more

Appliance Service Today is 5 stars all the way! In June our dryer stopped working! I called another appliance service business that has "Appliance" as the first word in their name as well and they had a 5 star rating so I decided to call them. Left a message and received a text message that they would get back with me that evening. Heard nothing that evening or the next day and called back. Received a text that he was too busy to help me so I called Appliance Service Today and got an appointment scheduled immediately. Dalan kept in communication during the timeframe given for the appointment so I knew exactly when he would be arriving and diagnosed the issue. He did need to acquire a part and returned to fix the dryer. During his visit I received communication through Yelp from the original "Appliance" guy that I contacted. All of a sudden he wants to schedule an appointment because he has a new tech working for him now doing laundry repair as he's moved onto high-end fridges! Sorry "Appliance" guy, I will stick with reliable Appliance Service Today and you can stick to your high-end fridges! Then on Sunday, July 31, our washing machine stopped working. Got scheduled on Monday with Appliance Service Today. Jerry came out on Wednesday and for a reasonable $144 and change, our washer is working again! Again, super professional and thorough with communication! Oh and don't miss out on the $30 for $50 of service Yelp deal! We love our front load Samsung washer and dryer and although we hope none of our other appliances go on the fritz, AST will always be our number one choice! I cannot begin to express how incredible this team is to work with. We had a 2017 LG refrigerator with an ice machine in the door. The service panel showed "DH." I looked that up and found that the fridge wasn't defrosting correctly. I unplugged it for a day. It worked again for the next couple of days but then did the same thing. Appliance Service Today came to replace the defroster--seemingly an easy fix. But that wasn't it. So I called back and they said, hey, let's try something else. They installed a new control board for free--we only paid for the part. That didn't fix the problem either. So next, they came to replace the defroster sensor. We had high hopes! But no. They came again to realize circuit deep inside the fridge was unfixable. Do you know what they did when they said they couldn't fix it? They refunded us the entire amount we paid, less the first diagnostic visit. I did not such a business had such integrity. It was too generous, really. I will call them forever for any appliance. I hope I can pay them back with my allegiance and recommendation. read more

I had a problem with a NuTone range hood that was still under warranty. NuTone hooked me up with this company and a tech (Jerry) showed up two days later. He quickly diagnosed the problem and told me that he'd need a part. I should mention that Jerry is the grandson of the founder and son of the current owner (all named Jerry). It took over a month for the part to show up. I called Amy in the office a few times about the delay and it was out of her control. Amy was always professional and nice with me. The part finally came in and Jerry came back and had the range hood fixed in record time. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and locally owned for three generations. read more

Do not use this service. We have an Asko dish washer. The service tech that came out told me 99% of the parts available to fix the machine were unavailable after his service call. I called the shop to explain it might be worthwhile to tell customers that before they come out as the prognosis for the machine was death and I had to get a new one anyway. The guy that answered the phone, the owner, was the worst possible customer service person they could have answering the phone. All he did was talk and not let me explain my point that we should have been told about the lack of parts availability for Asko. As the owner was talking over me and yelling at me he said in 90% of the cases the door problem we had can be addressed by removing the machine, realigning it, and trying to get it to shut properly. As I explained, or tried to, that the guy never moved the machine at all to potentialy fix the problem with door adjustment. He just started talking over me and would not listen or stop talking. When he finally stopped and I asked him if I could speak he told me I hadn't listened to him at all, completely untrue as all he did was talk the entire time, not listen to the customer. He was then shouting which my wife could hear across the room before he hung up. I tried calling back and again he would not just shut up and listen. Total talk over. Then I proceeded to tell him what I thought of his horrible customer service and see if he was ready to listen to me and he hung up again. I have seen multiple other reviews and there are a lot of bad ones. At the very least they should inform customers of the rarity of parts for their brand if old or not currently serviced with parts, and if this unit needed to be taken out and put back in to try and level the door his tech should have tried that for the cost of the service call. Unless you want to be verbally abused, misled, and have to use other services or buy new anyway, call this company. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and call anyone else. I guess there was a reason they could come out right away when others couldn't. Buyer beware. This guy has anger and customer service issues. The woman answering the phone was nice and told me they would and be out in three days. But on the day they were supposed to show up, they did not call either the renter or myself - they just didn't show up. When I called the following day to ask them what was happening, the woman was very polite and said she would call the renter immediately and come out the following day. However, she did not call the renter and just did not respond. If they don't have capacity to come out, I would understand, but when they tell us they'll do something and then don't follow through or communicate, it creates a lot more waiting for us without solving the problem. I had them come out to look at my dryer because the moisture sensor wasn't functioning properly so I could only use a timed dry cycle. The repair guy explained how the sensor worked and told me that there was nothing wrong with it just that I wasn't drying enough clothes. He said the moisture sensor only works if the dryer is at least halfway full and that if I'm only washing loads for one person I'll never have enough clothes for it to work and I should just use the timed cycle. I thought this was odd to have a dryer with all these automatic cycles and not be able to use them. A week or so later I did a big load of linens with several sets of sheets and towels. And despite the fact that the dryer was almost completely full the moisture sensor didn't function properly. This time I got in touch with the dryer manufacturer who let me know that only a very small load (3 items or less) should have to be done with the timed cycle and other size loads should be fine on the automatic cycle. They sent out a different repair company to look at my dryer. This time the repair guy opened up the control panel (something not done by the Appliance Service Today technician) and he discovered that the pins where the moisture sensor connects to the board were bent so it wasn't making a good connection. He replaced the part and since then it has worked great no matter what size load I am drying. I think is something that could have been found my the first repair visit if he had bothered to check the connection instead of dismissing it as I just don't have big enough loads. read more

Flagstaff was flooding and the owner was driving down a road that was flooded. In his company car with the company name on it. When asked to slow down so as to not make waves go into this woman's already flooded house, his first response was to curse at my husband and 15 year old daughter. So my husband went to the place of business to complain about whomever it was that was just cussing him out in the middle of a flood. No idea he was the owner. Thought they would want to know someone is cursing at people in Their company car. They apparently didn't care to know. He accused my husband of verbally assaulting the woman in the office. All he did was repeat what the owner had said. Already decided we would never go there again but he went so far as to call my husband and tell him he isn't welcome there. If we return to his store we will be trespassing. Fine. What a loser. Luckily we don't have to support this local business. read more

I do not recommend using Appliance Service Today. The biggest reason is because they are using national average "blue book" rates, which for Flagstaff, is far too high. I spoke with another repair service after my experience, and they explained that they do not use blue book rates because it is not reflective of the Flagstaff community. The repair was a simple switch replacement; the part cost about $45, and it took the repair person less than 30 minutes to do the work, but our total bill came to over $300. Beyond that, they did not provide an estimate for services (if they had, I likely would not have had them do the work), nor did they send over the receipt after I paid the (too high) bill. The service person was very nice, arrived on time, and was easy to work with. I think the issue lies in the policies of the company. read more

I have waited a little too long to write this report, but I just couldn't believe that our Monogram Advantium Microwave was fixed, so I just kept checking. Our technician Matt Eglin showed up when we called about a banging noise that had been coming from the oven since it was installed and the installer would not deign to fix. I'm not sure Mr Eglin even had seen such a machine but he checked it out and figured out what the problem was. It took a while for the part to come in (welcome to 2022), but Appliance Service Today called when it came in, scheduled the appointment and Mr Eglin came out and fixed it. No more banging! Obviously this was not an inexpensive repair, but I have had far less done, for far more money and not been as satisfied with the work. This is not the first time these folks have done good work for me, so yeah, 5 stars and 5 stars from before. read more

OWNER YELLED AND CURSED AT ME IN HIS STORE: I live 3 hours from Flagstaff but this was the closest store with the part I needed. I sent an email to ask if they had it, but when I went to pick it up they gave me the wrong part. No problem there, it happens. They apologized and offered to ship the correct part. Over a month of waiting and the part never showed up and they stopped responding to my emails asking for an update and proof of shipping. I would have been fine to take it up with USPS if they could prove they shipped the part, but they refused to respond. I finally DROVE 3 HOURS BACK to speak with the owner in person and they immediately started making excuses when I walked in the door and "couldn't find" the tracking number. I voiced my frustration and got a very patronizing "I'm sorry you feel that way." When I asked the front desk employee why no one had responded to my emails or returned my call, she started denying they hadn't responded and the owner accused me of harassing her. He then started to curse and yell at me from behind his desk and called me a few colorful names when he realized I had started recording his actions. He yelled at me to leave and said he would "see me outside to take care of me." I have no clue how this man is still in business, but his temper and lack of customer service/professionalism will hopefully be the end for him. Do not do business here! We had a terrible experience with Flagstaff Appliance Today. Their technician called GE on two items. We have a knocking noise in our GE Dishwasher. They said that was normal. My neighbor has the same dishwasher and they do not have this noise. Next was our GE gas stove. It has a gas smell when you turn the oven on and lasts for about 40 minutes. The technician said the insulation needed to cure. To do that we have to turn on the self cleaning option to which the technician said and I quote "This would blow out the front panel and we could not get the door to the oven unlocked because the temperature would reach 800 degrees during the 5 hours of cleaning." I would Not use this company period. Their favorite line is there is nothing wrong with your appliances and in my opinion they just collect a fee for a waste of time service call. read more

We had terrible service with this company. We called for help with our dryer. The technician who came was late, said he needed to order a part and would do so immediately. He said he would call when the part was in. Three weeks later (& still a non-functional dryer), I called them and they said that the ticket was closed and my dryer was fixed. I assured them is was not fixed and they argued with me about whether or not they had fixed my dryer. They called me back and acknowledged that the tech had not ordered the part like he said he would and that it would take another week to get the part from NY. Once the part came, the tech came back and installed it. That part did not fix my dryer! I chose another company and now my dryer is fixed. read more

Appliance Service came out 4 times and kept saying they needed another part. On the 4th or 5th visit - they decided the repair would take too long and asked if they could take it to their shop - it would be more efficient. Two weeks later, I called to check on my unit. I was told they were going to work on it the following Tuesday! (2 1/2 weeks later) - I called back that next Wednesday and was told it was not finished. I asked to speak to the owner. Jerry got on the phone and told me they had tried to deliver my refrigerator 4 times. I told him that was not true. At that point, he became beligerent, did not shut up, ( just like the review from Kathi and Kevin C.) would not listen, and then hung up on me!!! I do all the accounting and HR for our company, and have never had a situation like this. He was rude, unprofessional, obnoxious, and condescending. If I could give zero stars I would - this did not even warrant one star. Jerry is in desperate need of some customer service training. read more

The service manager is rude if you try to talk with him about a company complaint. He will talk over you, hoping to be right and make you wrong - defending his position without taking a breath until you shut up. Even saying, "Sir, sir: to get him to stop talking over a polite but dissatisfied customer did not work. Repeatedly. He starts out pleasant enough, but if you don't roll over, he'll talk non stop until you cave in. Our GE Dishwasher under warranty and needing repair was referred to this company as a warranty provider for repairs. We were not given any choices - this company was it. An appointment through GE customer service was made for Thursday, 3 days later. Appliance Service Today called the afternoon before the repair date saying GE does not correctly synchronize their calendar with Appliance Service so the appointment that was set up was incorrect and Appliance Service Today was only in my town on Wednesdays anyhow. Ten days later from the original phone call was the soonest they had available. He said they always call to get full details on the problem so they don't have to come back twice. That didn't happen here. They were going to come out, determine the problems and then come back the following Wednesday to repair it. I told GE in my initial phone call the two problems our machine was having - that the knob was stuck and the water would not drain but apparently Mr. Service Manager only knew about the knob. Do not call this company for polite service if you have to re-arrange your schedule to get your warranty appliance repaired because they repeatedly have to call and cancel and reschedule. I am not the first customer this has happened to according to their staff. As owners of 4 different businesses we know that customers service can make or break a company. In this case, the service manager said he continues to do business with GE for it's advertising opportunity - they get called on warranty work and they have you for life. They hope. Despite the fact there there's a terrible reputation they are building to continue doing business this way, it doesn't matter. He told me, "There's nothing I can do about it." I wonder if the owner of this business knows what's going on? If it were my business reputation on the line I would stop letting a partner ruin my livelihood. So when I asked him if he continues to do this for the money, he denied it. He could not really explain why he continues this shoddy business partnership and customer service. According to their reviews from 2015 and 2016 they have the best customer service. But as of 2017 those days are long gone. read more

I wish there was a way to give a negative rating for this company. We called this company and spoke with a woman named Amy. We told her that we wanted to have our subzero mini fridge looked at because it wasn't working properly as well as our Wolf stove /oven. The repair man came to our house and claimed there was nothing wrong with the oven that wolf appliances are slow to heat up. As far as the mini fridge he could not find anything wrong with it at all (he checked a sensor). The service man charged us over 230.00 for doing absolutely nothing other than turning on the stove and saying nothing was wrong with it and unplugging the mini fridge and checking the sensor. And that's fine if that is the case but when I asked her how is it possible that a 15 minute service visit is $230, Amy shared that the repair man was looking at two different appliances and because they're upscale appliances there are higher rates. I brought it to her attention that she never mentioned I would be charged for two service calls at the appointment or even informed me so I could decide if that was an option and that she never told me it would be an upgraded charge because of the appliance brand. I told her that that seems somewhat fraudulent and very unfair to the consumer and that I would like them to correct the service charge fee. At that point she became rude and told me she couldn't do anything about it. When I asked for the owner of the business (so I could get further assistance ) she was very reluctant and rude. We have left a total of four messages that have gone unanswered for the owner of the business Mr. Reinhart. In fact we're pretty sure Amy just sent the last two calls to voicemail. This is so unfortunate because we would love to support a local Flagstaff Business but not one that is dishonest, uncommunicative, and is deceitful. JR is the owner and listed as manager on yelp. Claims he wants to do right by customers yada yada. If this was true- they would return a call. It's pretty clear that Amy Powell who answers the calls is not adequately trained to work with customers. RUN!!! Find another company in Flagstaff to support. There are plenty. Even if this company can have a service man out to you the next day there is a reason why. If you're set on using this company get it in writing what the service charges and fees will be especially if quoted by an employee named Amy. read more

Don't use this company!! The father and son team came to fix my dishwasher. There service took 5 minutes and said the dishwasher was fixed. I noticed they didn't test it but I figured they knew what they were doing. Shortly after they left I started a cycle and found it was not working. I called their office and shared my concerns with receptionist. She was awful to deal with and patronized me with my complaint. She said they could not come back for another five days. THEY HAD JUST LEFT MY HOUSE! We live 3 minutes from their location. I paid them $80 for 5 minutes and they DID NOT fix my dishwasher. At that point I lost it and made it clear this was not okay. We had an issue with our oven not working, our land lord sent Appliance Service Today out to fix the problem the next day. The tech (I can't remember his name unfortunately) came at approximately 8:00 am, and we didn't hear our phones ring or the door bell ring, so he kindly left a business card and a voice mail. When we checked our phones seeing we had missed our tech we immediately called him and he said he would be over as soon as he was finished with the job he was at. He was over to our house in about 20 minutes, he was very friendly and kind and fixed our oven in about 10 minutes and showed my boyfriend what to do if it ever happened again (pilot light went out I guess). I was really happy with his people skills, and how quick he was to come back to service us even though we didn't answer the door the first time. I also loved how he came over first thing in the morning because we didn't have to wait around all day for someone to come fix our oven. Jr.R, service technician, called regarding a scheduled repair with this company today. He talks down to you, talks over you, will not let you get in a single word even if you are agreeing to what he wants, says that you are yelling at him, and than accuses you of being difficult. Then, he said he would not come out to repair a warranted issue and ended our call. He called back a few minutes later and left a long, rambling, message about my "attitude", "anger" and how he's "feeling", but was still willing to come out if I would call him back. Due to his attitude and anger, I let it go to my voicemail. I wish I could post screenshots of the message he left. I'm grateful that he did NOT come to my house! read more

What a great company with wonderful staff. My husband and I picked up a washing machine for a friend and we received the utmost customer service from start to finish. Not only were we greeted with a smile but were assisted in loading the machine into our truck as my husband has endured 3 major surgeries with the last being a hernia surgery so doesn't have the strength he used to. This company still knows the meaning of true customer service. Not only did they get out to my home as soon as they could to fix my broken oven but they were extremely efficient in actually being there when they said they would. I received an email the evening before with confirmation of our appointment & a photo of the repair man that would be coming. They also called me the morning of to confirm. He was here right on schedule, knowledgeable and repaired my oven, quickly & didn't leave any kind of mess. The best part is they are very reasonably priced. A++ read more

Called them out for a burner issue on a Wolf range. Literally within 2 minutes of arriving the tech blew into the burner and apparently discharged a cobweb and the flame regulated. Okay that will be $129 service charge - wtf? Did I mention 2 minutes. I totally don't have any issue with paying a reasonable service call but $129 for barely getting out of the truck? This is a company that we have used in the past for other appliance issues and while I can't say we have ever had crappy service there have been times that it took multiple trips for a tech to resolve the issue. So I called the owner to complain about how excessive the service call charge was - he broke into a rant which I still don't understand about how if he goes to Burger King and orders a burger and fries it costs him $17????? Not sure of the connection there? But here is the great part....I told him we won't be using his company again and he said "yes you will because we are the only one in Flagstaff certified to work on high end appliances!" So there you have it - he charges an extra high service fee on more expensive appliances because he has a captive audience - good business character!!!!! As a side note we also needed a tiny lightbulb for our range hood and they said it would be $29.95 but it would take 5 days to get it and if I wanted sent directly to us it would be an additional $10 or they could deliver and you guessed it it would be another service call. I believe in local businesses and try to "shop local" and the local businesses that I see as most successful are the ones that value local repeat customers. I wasn't looking for a freebie at all but I don't appreciate being taken advantage of either! read more

Technician Technician Dalan S. came out a second time, from the Home Depot extended warranty and the only tool he used is his screw gun and determined that it needed a new compressor. He then called Home Depot's warranty service and got the approval to replace the compressor and a short time after that checking out the system found that the system uses R600A and that they where not qualified to work on this system. This to me is shocking as I would think this would of been something that the technician should of known before wasting their time & mine. Also from the first time the technician came out when I placed the call to Samsung I found out the owner of Appliance Service Today throws away all e'mails coming from Samsung and that is why I had to pay the $89.95 service call for which I have never been refunded. What does that say about the responsibility of this business owner and his actions with the customer suffering the outcome! In closing the Technician Dalan S. never checked the back circuit boards or checked the system pressers! read more
