The two technicians, both named Alex, were super professional and gave me a quote of just $130 to fix the problem without needing to buy any parts. For comparison, another company had quoted me over $400 for labor and parts. They even cleaned the back of my fridge. They're a family-owned business and come across as very honest and trustworthy. I called the warranty/ Maytag number and am told that since I didn't purchase the Lowes "extended" warranty I was out of luck! Excuse me, what part of 5 years parts & labor from Maytag (its the Commercial model) would have me buy a 3 year overlapping warranty. But, Mr Appliance sent a tech. He listened to it running for about two minutes, said "Ive never heard that sound before?" And tells me the motor is out, ran no codes or any troubleshooting? Came back in with the estimate of $768. To fix a washer UNDER WARRANTY. ($975. Washer, 4 years old.) They charged me $125 for the service call but we're "supposed" to deduct it from my final bill. Ended up costing me 570 More to have them fix it . He replaced a perfectly good motor (and took the old one with him, even when I asked for it to be left, since I bought it. He ended up using process of elimination to decide it was the plastic gear and he "happened" to have a spare... for $80. Once that one piece went in. Ran perfectly. No break 9n the bill, no warranty help from Maytag. Didn't even deduct the $125 at the end. Done fighting both.. cut my loses and just let everyone know to avoid Both. Especially Maytag washers. ​

Kenny worked with us and was able to come out the following day to take a look. He communicated his arrival time with us and came within the expected time. Kenny was friendly, personable and professional throughout the entirety of the interaction and explained what he was checking before diving into it. Turns out was just the control board needing a reset so after doing that, everything came back on and worked properly. Kenny tested all the burners and different scenarios to make sure there wasn't a bigger issue but since that was all it was, only charged us the $99 service call fee. The service came with a 30 day warranty so Kenny took the time to look at the model and research it a bit while he was here so that, if the issue comes up again, he has some ideas as to what it might be should he need to fix it. We've used ASDAR for other fixes before (washer and dryer) and they are always great and fair in our experience. Highly recommend.

Tech came out and installed the relay, (cost $26.00, I checked after) and billed me $249.00 Fast forward to March 25th , 6 weeks later, and the fridge is on the blink again. Called them, same tech came out, and it was the same relay, part was under warranty, no charge for the replacement relay, but the labor charge is $165.!! I'm a independent mechanic, and my hourly rates are billed in 30 min increments and certainly not that high for a 5 minute plug n play relay! Called the company and of course, went to V.M...I'm sending a theme here, install inferior parts, replace for free, and make it back in the labor x 3. Wont be using these guys again.
