We had a major power outage on our Samsung Microwave, not even 2 years old, and our Home Warranty company (Choice Home Warranty) contracted The Appliance Squad. They were awesome and was able to come over within 1 day. They determined the issue was with a computer board inside and the the job was authorized by the warranty company. They were very easy to deal with for times of service since I work until 4pm and they came over well after that....I didn't have to take time off of work. Well, it wasn't the computer board, but the technician didn't leave the house until he figured it out...and he did! I am so happy they came over and were contracted. I had trouble getting through to them at first but the owner called me back. Evidently their phone system was down temporarily and the phone didn't even ring. BUT, when the owner received the voicemail, he immediately called me back and apologized for missing the call. He asked me what was going on and set an appointment to come out and take a look at it. When he got there, he was very professional, very nice and easy to talk with. He showed us how to order the right part and how to replace it to save an additional service call. One of the nicest companies I have had the pleasure to work with in the Brandon, Valrico/ Riverview area in the 20 + years I have lived here. Holy crap!!! Best service ever, honestly.... within the time quoted, had to replace several parts which they had readily available.... The Technician repeatedly put on and removed covers for his shoes to walk from my front door to my patio (my washer /dryer are outside on my patio) on my crappya** carpet. He showed me every part that needed to be replaced and why and asked permission to replace it and told me the charge before doing anything. My dryer is 10 years old and it was still cheaper to repair than buy a new one. Trust LOCAL, this LLC is old school.... polite, courteous, on time, reasonably priced, and honest. read more

Worst experience ever! This place was pick for us by our home warranty company. The technicians came out to fix our freezer and refrigerator, two different issues. The ice maker was leaking inside the freezer, causing a chunk of ice to form in the ice maker which caused the dispenser to not work and the refrigerator is freezing our food no matter how low we keep the temperature. Once they got here and got started, one of the technicians was looking for something to break off the chunk of ice so they could take the whole ice making section off. You'd think he'd have tools for something like this like, I don't know, a screw driver. But NO! He reaches for my bread knife in my $500 set saying this will work. I said 'Oh no, that's way too expensive to break ice with'. He said 'really'. So I got him a screw driver to break the ice. They took apart my freezer, put it back together and said it was fixed but that they'd have to come back with a part to fix the refrigerator. It took longer for them to break off the ice than it did to take apart and put back together the ice maker! They tell me the freezer is fixed but they have to order a part for the refrigerator then they leave and an hour later my freezer is still leaking and building up ice faster than before. They called me a few days later telling me the part won't be in until August 19th for the refrigerator and I explained to her that the freezer that her guy said was fixed isn't fixed. She got an attitude with me saying its because he didn't fix it because he had to order the part so I had to explain to her AGAIN how there was two separate issues with the fridge and I let her know she's not going to get an attitude with me! She apologized. A few days later and now my freezer is leaking water under my refrigerator whenever it makes ice. I emailed them on August 9th telling them they need to come back out and fix the freezer that's leaking all over my floor before the 19th and asked her to call me and gave my number. She emails me back saying her technician is out of the country and will let me know when he returns. I said that's unacceptable because I have water leaking all over my floor and asked her 'you don't have another technician that could come out and fix what their guy broke?' She contacts my warranty place without me knowing and emails me again saying the warranty place will send out another technician which I know I will have to pay for the deductible again! Then this morning, I get an email saying they are ALL DONE and said to If I am satisfied to tell all my friends and family and said to leave a review. I am FAR from satisfied. Do not use this business unless you want to pay double to have your appliances fixed! Horrible service and horrible customer service! read more

Super pleased with the service that appliance squad provided. Scheduling was prompt. The technician that came to service our washer and dryer was very kind, professional, and knowledgable and diagnosed the problems very quickly. Parts needed to be ordered, and what I thought would be a long and drawn out process was handled very quickly. Only 2 days to be exact! I will absolutely use this company again should we have any other issues, and would recommended their services! Truly a great and professional company! read more

My ice maker broke. I went on Angies list and found The Appliance squad. It took them 20 minutes to replace ice maker, charged $135 for labor and $135 for ice maker. Only gave me a 3 month warrantee on the new ice maker. Industry standard is 1 year. Lets hope it lasts. read more

Local owned business was fast and friendly. Called back promptly and did everything they said they would do! Would definitely use again.

Appliance squad showed up to our house and was ready to leave within minutes if arriving $75 for 5 minutes of work. Said we may have a leak of Freon but it would be hard to detect.... really that's what you are supposed to do. Don't use these guys. Sham from home choice warranty as well. Btw appliance Champ showed up today tested freon said Freon was fine and my coils had collected too much dust and restricted the airflow. Call Appliance Champ 5 star review and fixed my problem at a fraction of the cost. Awesome service too. Ask for Ari! read more

Worse company ever... Our dishwasher in our brand new home didn't work we called GE and because they were full the call got forwarded to these jerks. We set up an appointment without being told there would be an additional fee, the tech shows up says y"it's broken I can't do anything about it that will be $70" we told the tech well since it's a new washer never run once and we called GE and it should be covered by warranty. The tech agreed but apparently their billing didn't and sent us a nasty letter in the mail saying that since they don't work with GE they have to charge us. When we had an actual GE tech come out he saw they problem was a wire hadn't been connected to the motor so it wasn't pumping water into the machine. That visit was of course free and under warranty. But we the billing department of the appliance squad still said we owed them even though their tech did absolutely nothing and we weren't told before hand that they would be charging a fee. We will never be doing business with these crooks again and o recommend you don't as well read more
