The Apria people in the Cromwell, CT office are better than the executives who run this dumpster fire of a company. The executives removed all the ways you could email Apria. You have to call. I waited 15 minutes today before the call went dead. There's no online chat. The company that owns Apria could care less about what you need or think about them. They also have a nasty habit of charging you for more than they should if you set up automatic payments. My insurance was changing their computer system. One day they denied a $1,200 bill from Apria, a few days later they paid it. But during those few days Apria had already charged me for the full amount. I was out $1,200 for more than a year. They also kept sending me monthly bills for an unspecified reason and when I called to inquire they said the bills were sent in error. If I could use a better company I would. read more

Aprila healthcare has absolutely awful requirements, customer service is unpleasant and it seems that there's new reason not to send me supplies every single time I need them. Hello all I noticed there is alot of reviews about Springfield ma. Let me tell you why, the company has terrible management, I worked there over 5 years and it is a terrible place to get your health issues taken care of. They have very little on the shelves to give you what you need, they don't want to pay for stock product's until you order it. Then you have to wait up to two weeks for what you need. Most all of there equipment is very old and worn out, thats why so many people call back within days of a del. It's old so old that many times when I del. a oxygen machine it would break down before I got out the door. Oh and when you call your screwed, they don't want to answer the phone cause they know your gona complain, and they put it off for days later. If you call tue. and say my machine is broken, most often they say we will be in that area thursday. Only to find out they didn't come and say oh sorry our driver had to go different direction for a urgent problem. Trust me when your in the hosp. they recommend using Apria cause Apria gives them things like walkers, canes, wheel chairs ect. Trust me there are better company's. read more

I got a new cpap machine from apria in December of 2022, it's now July and still have not received any supplies for my machine. The do everything backwards, they make you pay for the supplies and then bill the insurance company. Which is completely backwards, due to R&C charges. Insurance always has stated that I should never prepay for the supplies. Tried to speak with a manager was told no manager available on a Monday morning at 9am. When I persisted I was automatically hung up on. Great customer service to hang up on a customer. WILL NEVER DEAL WITH APRIA AGAIN!!!! read more

I just started to use a Invacare Platinum XL Oxygen Concentrator. I opened it to check the HEPA filter and it was moldy!!! I call and they told me to clean it!! OMG, I shouldn't have to clean a machine I just received. I am livid. I was breathing in this mold for days. This company is totally unresponsive to patient's needs. I have had multiple hour long phone calls with the billing department to question bills for equipment that Medicare denied because Apria did not send them the documentation. I have had sleep apnea for years and had equipment covered by insurance since 2009 but in January when I went on Medicare Apria did not send over medical records after numerous requests so the claims were denied and now I am being asked to pay out of pocket. Also had the same experience as other people with wrong items being shipped. Additionally, the initial service visit was totally unprofessional and I was red and bruised for weeks since the attendant never fitted padding to the headgear. read more

So far, NOT so good. This outlet is the only one that serves CT even though the office in Springfield MA is closer to my home (I live right on the border of MA/CT). I've been an Apria patient for my CPAP since 2007. The old Dudley MA office folded and I was shifted to one in Douglas, MA. That place also went belly up so I was supplied by the National distribution center with no problems. Now, my latest machine is nine years old and also subject to the Philips recall. We're supposed to get a new machine every five years and my new PCP immediately ordered a new sleep study which I completed in November of 2021. Pretty much the same settings. His PA sent in the readings and settings to the Apria fax number and now, four months later still no machine. Calls to this office resulted in first a 37 minute hold - and then FINALLY the young woman said she'd follow up with my doc's office as they "never received the prescription fax." She promised that she'd get back to me "the next day." Well, that was last week. Still no follow up. My doctor insists they sent it and he has the fax transmission report to Apria of the prescription and CPAP settings back in the fall of 2021. Now? I've typed this review, proof read it, edited it, had a martini, and completed sending it ALL WHILE STILL ON HOLD LISTENING TO THE SAME STUPID ELEVATOR MUSIC LOOP OVER AND OVER for 47 minutes! Apria consistently sends out the WRONG REPLACEMENT SUPPLIES. It then requires moving a mountain to get it rectified: hours on the phone with incompetent, inept, rude so called "customer service " ( truly an oxymoron). They don't know what they are doing so they tell you that they can have a respiratory technician call you. you set up the appointment for the call and they don't call at the scheduled time. They DONT CALL AT ALL! You call with a question/problem with your CPAP. Again appointment set for the "RESPIRATORY TECH". Again NO CALL BACK. This company is the WORST. read more

Waited six months for the machine, then I couldn't get a mask for another two months. That mask that came was too big. They don't have the smaller mask in stock which is beyond me, so I just called them and told them I was bringing everything back and I was done. read more

Call center is in the Philippines. Person spoke English very well but very soft spoken - could barely hear - and pronounced accent. My 90+ year old mother would never have been able to understand. Cut off several times. Finally got in touch with "local" rep after complaint with dr office. He was very nice but2 weeks later still waiting for call back on scheduling home visit. One last chance then will get someone else. Maybe should have done that after the first encounter with the call center but thought local rep would be ok. Not too sure now. read more

If there was less than 1 star I would give it that. I called for a Cpap machine 3 different times only to get 3 different foreigners who had me go over my information again and again. Those of you who sleep with a Cpap know how awful it is. I finally got a machine elsewhere and never heard from them again as they promised me the last time I spoke to them. I received my equipment a week ago... I did have one hiccup, I somehow left my mask and head-gear behind and it took an entire day to rectify the problem. It is true, there's no way to call your local office directly. It's also true that if you call you will get bounced around a call center... However, I got great service in-office (although the office itself left a LOT to the imagination) and once my local rep got the call from corporate, she called me and made everything right for me. I can't claim this was a Top Notch experience, but it's definitely much improved over what I've read from other reviews. read more

I was a past customer of Apria. Now living in FL and needing new medical equipment, I found that Apria did not inform my insurance company that I returned my equipment in 2014. Customer service gives you the run around, as you can not call the Cromwell office directly. Confirmed after 6 hours on the phone that I did return the equipment. Six faxes have been sent to get a written copy of my medical records. They will not respond to the faxes from my new medical provider in FL, or from myself. Very poor customer service. read more

This company does not deserve a star at all. I have had a CPAP machine for 5 years. I was using GENOX, but that company closed. My Dr. uses APRIA because that is covered under my insurance, Ever since they took over, my shipments have been wrong. They shipped the wrong filters twice, wrong size nasal pillows and the wrong "Frame" size for my Dreamware mask 3 times. They put me on auto delivery April 2018 and I received my first AUTO OPT IN delivery today with the WRONG size Frame AGAIN. Talked to 3 people, because they were insisting the frame came in a "standard" size only (They were not experienced with the item numbers and parts for my CPAP machine. Finally I called and DEMANDED that a supervisor call me back. He rectified the issue(will be shipping me a small frame headgear), but said I had to call APRIA prior to auto ship come March 2019 because the size I need (small) is a special order. THEN WHY OPT me in for AUTO SHIP, if it can't be filled correctly??. O.M.G. Tired of calling them every time I get a wrong item shipped on my orders. And definitely tired of talking to a person who can't speak proper english so I can understand. All I kept saying was, "sorry can you repeat what you just said, I can't understand you?". Time to look into "The Inspire Sleep" procedure, so I won't need this damn CPAP any longer. I wish there were a zero star rating. Worse health care experience I have ever had. And I have had hundreds and hundreds. Horrible call center experiences. Horrible experience at offices. Equipment not available when they said it would be. Follow up promised next day = no results. Can't trust what is told to you. Had to reschedule travel plans because of their ineptitude.
