Singularly difficult to work with, from my experience they appear to be a company more interested in making as much money as possible than in actually providing a needed services and being compensated for it, as an upstanding business would be. When an issue came up they assigned a person to call me, but unfortunately that person was not actually capable of communicating with us due to their heavy accent that rendered the overwhelming majority of their speech incomprehensible. Rather than seek a way to bridge this gap however Apria - either by virtue of the people handling my situation or their company's policies - wrote me off entirely, running through what was clearly a standard script that I unfortunately could not understand. The same person called back and repeated the experience with an equal lack of care for actually communicating the situation. I was then sent to collections, from whom I learned that there was a bill I owed (news to me at the time). And now, I have learned they won't sell me supplies because of a situation entirely of their creation. Do NOT do business with this company if at ALL possible. read more

Customer service is terrible, they never resolve customer concern They lie to you and takes forever to get an issue resolved. They tell you one thing and bills you for another thing. This people sent me a bill dated July 15 with a due date August 15th, i try to pay it on August 3rd an my bill was all ready sent to a collection agency. Please!!! Apria is the reason I stopped using my cpap. In my opinion they deserve a negative rating. One of the worst customer services of any business I have ever dealt with. No support whatsoever and they make getting needed supplies so difficult that you will eventually give up. To whoever replied on my previous review on this, I'm not going to waist more of my time talking, emailing and explaining regarding what happened. You have all the information in your system so do the research yourself. What I need is result and resolution on how to return this equipment so I don't have to pay a dime! Now, if you have that info then please reply on this review so I can contact you. I don't want to talk to a general customer service or billing dept.! So, on March 8, 2022 I called Apria Visalia office first to make sure they'll be able to see the notes on the account and will be able accept the return. Talked to Brianna and she was helpful but had bad news. She informed me that they cannot accept the return. First, she told me that the equipment is for me to keep. I told her of what happened to this account and what are the conversations from few months ago and last week. She advised me that this scooter has been approved by Kaiser and they would not ship an equipment that isn't approved. They got the order from Kaiser directly and was approved hence they shipped it to us. I asked if that is the case, why is Apria billing me? She said to check with Kaiser. I said, Kaiser never billed me only Apria and if you're saying that it was approved then the equipment is paid by Kaiser. She basically said yes but she again said to check with Kaiser since she cannot see the Kaiser docs. She also mentioned that the details she can see is a bill for $491.31 and a separate bill for about $98 supposedly the copay that was never collected. I asked so now the bill is actually higher and she didn't confirm nor deny. I then said I'm confused but I'll try to talk to Kaiser and asked her for some information I can provide to Kaiser. She mentioned claim# and some screenshots from Kaiser with a bill amount of about $900. She also said she will provide the Kaiser # I can call that they use. I requested for her to text those info to me or email. She asked for my phone# and said she will send the info once she get it all together and run all these with her manager. She confirmed again that they cannot accept the return since it's approved by Kaiser and the equipment is not theirs but Kaiser's. IT'S ALREADY BEEN A MONTH AND STILL HAVE NOT GOTTEN AN UPDATE FROM APRIA!! read more

If I could I've give them 0 stars! I called on Wednesday 12/4 to ask about my mothers wheelchair the women assured me that it was being processed with her Medicare insurance and I can call back Friday to follow up. I let them know my mother had just gone through 2 strokes and she really needed this wheelchair. I call Friday morning 12/6 talked to Debbie she couldn't find my mother in the system and told me she would call me back. I know they close at 5pm so I call at 3 because I hadn't received a call back. She let me know they couldn't find my mother in the system and that They don't accept Medicare so now my mother has to go even longer without a wheel chair. I've never been so disgusted by the quality of care in my life! Do not have your loved ones script for medical Supplies be sent here by any means! Avoid!!! read more

I went to Apria to get my first ever CPAP machine. The respiratory therapist, Sharon, told me to go home and watch YouTube videos on how to adjust the mask to fit my head and set up the machine. I asked her to please fit the mask on me, which she finally agreed to do after sighing loudly. She was annoyed when the mask didn't fit because it was too big and told me "see, this is why I didn't want to fit it on you, I can't restock it now it's been tried on." Then she told me to call her back in two days to request a "refit". Initially she told me I get one "refit" to try a different style mask, within the first 30 days and so I asked her if that counted as my "refit" to try a different style, because I sleep with my mouth open and believe I might require a style that covers my mouth too. She said it would count, but I was entitled to additional supplies every six months. I was so shocked and told her that I didn't want to waste my refit and take home a mask that is too big. She kept referring to my head being so small that I needed a "hers" mask, and I noticed the mask that she tried to fit on me was blue, and asked if the mask she ordered me was a "his" mask. She said she only keeps the blue masks in stock because the "hers" masks would "sit on the shelf" for a couple months because they don't supply CPAP machines very often. I told her I wasn't comfortable leaving with a mask that didn't fit and she told me I had to. Finally I walked out, leaving my mask behind. read more

Oh goodness, this company is the worst!! My daughter's doctor said that this is the only company in town that didn't go out of business so this is our only choice. They kept calling us saying that didn't have her mask for her breathing treatment, and I told them that their Visalia branch said they did, and I told them that I'm not ordering from them because their Visalia branch had the equipment, and I'll just pick it up in person. They called again saying the mask was not in supply and our order will be delayed because of the child mask, and I said cancel my order I ALREADY PICKED UP THE MACHINE... of course they didn't get the message and proceeded to call us and her doctors office for a week requesting more information... Here is where it gets good... I go to pick up and pay for the machine, and the lady gave me major sass, and was rude. I was thinking I know you guys are the only place in town that sell the machine but calm down! Don't be mean! She was like what do you need? I said the breathing machine, and she said the nebulizer, the mask, the tube? What what? I said I have nothing, I need it all, and of course she rolls her eyes at me. Who acts like that working in customer service! I will say they do deserved one star because the guy that explained to me how to put it together and clean the nebulizer was very helpful and the only person that was nice to me read more

OK, I'm a senior. It was time for a new CPAP machine. I contacted my insurance to see if there was going to be any out of pocket expense from me. The told me whatever Medicare did not pay they would cover the rest of the cost of the new CPAP machine. Apria called me, they said they wanted a credit card number from me to pay for renting? the machine. They said they would not send it to me if I did not give them a credit card number. I gave them a credit card number. They sent the machine, then I cancelled the credit card. These guys play by their own rules, they know how Medicare works, and they know my insurance is going to cover 100% of the cost. I'm not giving them a penny. Medicare and my insurance will pay them. These guys are going to try and get more than they are due for supplies. Find another company to get your CPAP. read more

Not writing on this particular branch. But I am writing about the company overall! I wish there was a button for NEGATIVE 5! I had been using Apria for my Enteral supplies for around 9 years. I moved in October and had to change my insurance. Which was fine for awhile. But after a few months Apria no longer used my insurance. I changed insurance provider. Went ok for awhile. When I called to reorder my supplies they were longer accepting that insurance either! I asked what insurance do you accept. They gave me the name of agency. I called to place an order, with 7 days of my supplies left, like I'm supposed to do. After a few days of not receiving my supplies I called for an ETA. They told me they're no longer doing the Enteral supplies. I now only had a few days left of supplies. So I called my Doctors office. They called Apria. Apria sent a weeks supply. My doctor just found me a new supplier. I got a new feeding tube machine and all my supplies before I ran out. New company has sent out a nurse to show how to use new machine. They are also sending a nurse for 5 weeks to make sure all is well. Yesterday in the mail I received a card from them welcoming me to their company. I wish I would asked my doctor to find me this new company months ago. I would not have had to change my insurance company so many times. Apria is terrible! read more

I am really disappointed with the fact that I faxed a prescription for an item for my son seven days ago and they are still "processing" it. When I call to check the status, it sounds as though I am speaking with someone working out of their home as they clearly have no ability to explore why it is taking as long as it is. The absolute worst experience ever. My husband has been a quadriplegic for 14 years and I have never experienced a more inadequate, unprofessional, uncaring company as this one. If you have a choice, choose a different company. I've been trying to get a medical bed for over a year now, two wrong deliveries, numerous phone calls, and still nothing. I work for a pediatric doctor and sometimes parents want nebulizer machines or wheelchairs. I hate it when people have private insurance because than you have to call which DME accepts their insurance. Not to long ago a parent was requesting a wheelchair for her daughter. Well Key Medical said that only Apria can help me with the process. OMG! Apria never answers your phone calls. I don't know how many voicemails I left and till now not one person has returned my call regarding the wheelchair. Parents got frustrated for waiting for so long with no answers to the point that they cancelled this referral request. Apria is just terrible and it sucks that Key Medical cant associate with another DME that will answer your calls and take your case seriously read more

Received a call that our medical equipment would be delivered between 8-12, called them and they hadn't even received authorization yet so why did I get the call? Then received a call that they received the authorization and scheduled to deliver at 5:30. Still waiting an hour later! My prescription was forwarded to this company for a nebulizer. The previous supply company gave me a cash option of $40 because they didn't accept my insurance. After being forwarded to Apria I was quoted over $1000 dollars!!!!! When I asked about the cash option the lady rambled about my insurance.... Unbelieable how bad this place is and still in business. I hand carried a prescription for my wife's wheelchair into the Visalia branch. The person at the counter took the prescription, asked what insurance, and had us fill out a form. They said that was it. I asked if they took measurements, and what type wheelchair it was. The person was less than informative. At least a few weeks go by and we hear nothing, and I figure getting insurance authorization might be holding it up. I called, and spoke with someone in customer service (in some other location). There was no record of the prescription or order, and supposedly the person at the Visalia branch had no record or recollection of us bringing it in. I was asked if I could have the doctor fax in another prescription. Supposedly they "have a department that handles those orders", and the branch doesn't handle them (then why does the branch have a form ready on the counter, and why did they accept the prescription and information at the branch). HECK no! They won't be getting a second chance at my business! There really should be a zero star rating. read more

I am only giving one star because I can't give a negative 5 stars. This is the absolute worst company with the worst customer service I have ever encountered. They argue about approvals from insurance even with authorization packets, including authorization from insurance, medical provider, prescription for equipment dates of approval, and fax receipts, because they have to "go through the process to ensure insurance approval" WHEN THE PACKET IS DIRECTLY FROM INSURANCE COMPANY ON LETTERHEAD WITH AUTHORIZATION CODE AND EVERY SINGLE THING THEY CLAIM THEY NEED TO "Qualify". The "national" customer service rep is useless and will argue; I spoke to her 3 days in a row and she remained useless. The "supervisor" Marcos was even less useless. This is for an Active Duty Service Member requiring a wheelchair, you would think they may give an ounce of "give a d@mn" but they are completely content with their level of "service" my Dr and my Case Manager spoke with them and they shrugged them off just the same. I have already taken it to the attention of the Naval Hospital and they will never approve another request through or deal with this company, and I advise all who are dealing with them or thinking about using them, to avoid them at all costs. Again, they are the worst company I have ever in my 41 years have dealt with and that includes AT&T. Avoid, Avoid, Avoid! They are complete trash. I have been waiting for a wheelchair for over 2 weeks now from this company! The calling I have done to this place is a rude awakening! Can never get anyone local they ship your call to anywhere. We had personally walked in my prescription to the local VISALIA branch, they asked for my demographics, which was provided, and also the same day it was faxed over from my drs. Office. 1 week, me doing nothing but calling, each time someone different telling me something different. My drs. Would try to help nothing. Next they said my demographics were needed 2 more times! Then no one ever told me that they couldn't read my drs script. Another hold on the order. So here after 2.5 weeks I'm still waiting. I've missed important drs appointments to try to help find out as to why I can't walk, day to day living has been compromised from not having a chair. No legit reasoning can be given to me as to why! If at all possible please go with another facility for medical supplies. It's obvious this facility does not care about a patient's well being. Zero stars! read more
