What a great experience! First, they have lots of free parking available. Dogs are not allowed due to food safety. They had lots of different booths to choose from. Mostly food but there are some booths that sold other goods. The booths all seemed stocked well and fair prices. Vendors were friendly and greeted me as I walked along. I recommend to bring cash but it seemed like most vendors offered some type of digital payment as well. They did have some options to get food to eat there. One of the most unique and impressive farmers markets I've ever visited! The Aptos Farmers Market offers an incredible and diverse selection of vendors that you rarely see anywhere else. I came across vegetables I've never seen at other markets, along with super interesting wellness products--from super berry juices to mushroom coffees, housemade tinctures, and small-batch kombucha. There are so many unique stalls to explore! What really stood out to me was how spacious and well laid out it is--you can wander across three different levels, each packed with discoveries. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality and uniqueness of the products. The vendors were all very friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. There's truly something for everyone here, whether you're into fresh produce, health-focused drinks, or artisanal goods. This is a Great Farmers Market to visit. We went today Saturday, 2/22/25. They didn't have as many pop up booths that I've seen during the summer months a few, a few spaces between booths. Easy 5 stars! This place is fairly priced and offers an amazing variety. The best deal is definitely on the flowers. Both the potted and fresh cut options are absolutely beautiful and so affordable. My first review of something other than a restaurant and it still has to do with food. This market at Cabrillo College is year round on Saturday morning. The vendors will start packing up around 11 - 11:30. It starts around 7. It is my favorite farmers market. The vendors are mostly certified organic, I did notice one had organic in it's name but had a sign that said they weren't certified. There are two rows of fruits and vegetables and one row that is mixed with food, coffee and other items. It is nice to buy the fruits and vegetables that are ripe when harvested, the taste is so much better. You can also find items that aren't to common like Fava beans. Some vendors will take credit cards, they will take cash and there is a stand that you can use your credit card to get "market money " that all the stands take. If you skipped breakfast to get to the market you might want to try the Farm bakery and cafe. Check out the reviews. read more

One of the best farmers markets! We were visiting for the weekend and someone recommended we visit the market--so glad we did because it was delightful. Fresh produce, baked goods, homemade pasta, delicious side dishes, beautiful flowers and plants, meats and fish, treats, chocolates. Ah, the simple joys of a well designed weekend farmers' market. This particular location gets to spread out over several upper level sections of a semi underground parking garage on the campus of Cabrillo College. This makes it very easy to park and walk into the market itself. The vendors represent a full range of what Monterey County has to offer plus extra vendors from surrounding counties. The selection is similar to what you might find in Santa Cruz but each market is different. I loved the pepper selection at the Cabrillo College experimental farm stand and some beautiful dry farmed tomatoes and organic shallots from a Davenport farm vendor. But there is a lot more than that, including shrimp and fish tacos & ceviche. Will all of this induce me to shift my regular market routine from Westside Santa Cruz? Doubtful. But if I have other plans in Aptos later that day - wine tasting, coffee, or perhaps pizza at Mentone- then I will be here first to stock up my Yeti cooler with fresh produce for the coming week before setting out on further adventure. read more

Stack house who sell pulots, peaches, flavored almonds, Minazzoli Farms who sell peaches, plums, walnuts, Rodoni Farms who sell artichokes and Brussel sprouts, Sweet Elena Bakery who sell wonderful quiche, croissants and other baked goods, Beckmann's bakery for their banana bread and walnut , wheat cinammon bread, Webb 's Farm who is local farmer and has great produce. This is my favorite farmers market ever for the following reasons: 1. They are at a convenient location with plenty of free parking (Cabrillo College) 2. They have the best fish tacos at the Mariscos stand (lower level) + delicious ceviche & oysters! 3. Live (folk) music most Saturdays which makes for a lively atmosphere. 4. Companion bakery has a stand so I can get my blueberry buckwheat scone, then grab a freshly brewed coffee at the nonprofit coffee stand next stand over. 5. All organic produce including Phil Foster's Pinnacle Farms, P & K Strawberries and many more There are many other reasons I love this farmers market but I think the main reason is it has so many great offerings without being overly commercial or too crowded like some other markets ( Los Gatos, Campbell). We literally go here every Saturday morning if we don't have something else planned early in the day. read more

My husband and I visited here when we were in the Monterey area earlier this year, and we both just loved it so. A totally charming little farmers market. Not too big, but not too small, either. They had a great assortment of produce along with flowers and plants, and prepared foods like bread, cheese, tea, jellies and sauces. Our favorite vendor was Malabar Trading Company. We bought THE BEST chai tea there ever. Do not miss out on that. We've used up every bit that we got, and I still have dreams about it. read more

I think parking is free? I'm not sure. It's not very clear. There are plenty of spaces in the surrounding lots and along the street. However, numerous signs demand that all cars must display permits. Other reviews on this page seem to suggest ignoring the signs. We sure did. No ticket. I just wish the parking situation were more clear. The market itself is large, with a wide variety of vendors. You'll find everything from vegetables to fruits, flowers, nuts, honey, jams, breads, pasta, hummus, pies, meats, seafood, etc. There are also vendors selling ready to eat items, though I wish there was more of a selection in this department. We had the paleo carrot cake and jalapeno cheese bread from one of the vendors. Unfortunately, while the carrot cake was tasty, the texture was grainy. The jalapeno cheese bread on the other hand was disappointing. Either way, it's a good time, and you can definitely do your grocery shopping here, albeit at a premium price. read more

I have been going to the Aptos Farmers Market since they opened. Always a treat. From the Accordion player ( his costumes are so very creative ) to the guy who plays some awful sort of guitar ( I have paid him to stop playing ) and the wonderful Farmers Market Band...it always feels like a party while I am there. I have known most of the farmers for 20 years and have grown old with them. They all work so hard and it is terrific to always see the market full of customers. My son has grown up from a newborn to a teenager while attending the market every Saturday. Baked potato loaded with everything is what is for breakfast on Saturday. Knife sharpening....oysters....kraut shots...and more fresh produce than you can hope to imagine. People watching is a bonus benefit. One of the very best things about living in Aptos is this market. read more

People come from all over the area to buy fruits and veggies here. If you get there early enough you can see the great morgani perform. There's also a folk band that usually performs. The vendors come from all over the geographical area. I like to try to find the most local sellers. There is one stand my wife likes particularly since she's Filipina and likes bitter melon and okra and long beans and the Chinese eggplant. I find it's best to go at the height of the growing season since by Labor Day weekend the fruit isn't as good. read more

Nice little market. I do recommend asking point blank if foods are organic and asking to see the farm's producer's certificate if you get a sketchy answer. Don't just assume fruits are organic because they are at the Market which a lot of people do. Look for the following every week: Old Creek Ranch for citrus and grass fed meat; Pinnacle and Route 1 for veggies; Mike Astone for protea and cut leucadendrons; Nagamine for organic cucumbers, greens, and fillet beans; Shoch Dairy for the best cheese you've ever had in your life; Kashiwase for stone fruit; Windmill for strawberries; Cavanaugh Color for potted plants; Farmhouse for Kraut; Upstarts and Cole Canyon for veggie and herb starts for your home garden. There are a few vendors that, in my humble opinion, don't belong but they are few and far between. The string band is awesome for kids and adults If you go early you might have a Great Morgani sighting and they guy playing the autoharp is very talented. I am proud to support a market like this every Saturday and I am even happier that I can now share the experience with my daughter. Remember, the market is open RAIN or SHINE--Farmer's especially need customers on wet miserable days! read more

If I ever find myself back in the Santa Cruz area on a Saturday morning, I go here. MUST STOP FOR: Blue Heron and Route 1 Farms' veggies are both organic and killer, Kashiwase Farms' has kickass peaches. Donelly Chocolates!! The herb-lady on the top stretch sells the most potent catnip plants. My cats stay stoned for hours on just a couple of leaves of the stuff. Plus, pretty much all the places that sell carrots will give me the extra carrot-tops that people discard. Sugar Bunn eats good when I return from this FM. read more

We haven't been to this Farmers market in a very long time, since they moved it to the upper parking lot. Get here early for the best selection because they close and pack up at noon. Lots of organic fruits and vegetables, beautiful flowers, herbs, some but not alot of bakery products, organic grass fed meats, juices, coffee, get your Knifes sharpened and horticulture of Santa Cruz and the Iris society where you can get a nice size bag of starts for 5 bucks. Not alot of food booths either. Overall it was good but pricey. We'll be back for a few things including the delicious Kombucha. read more

Wonderful array of vendors offering everything from grass-fed meat and fresh oysters to organic produce, specialty nuts/trail mix to fresh brewed coffee, and even fresh flowers to decorate brighten up your home. :) Plenty of parking (though you might have to walk up/down a hill or two) this market is located on the Cabrillo College Campus easily accessible off the main street. They are open (I believe) both Saturday and Sunday till 10 or 11am, but I suggest getting there early to get the best selection! read more

Liked it quite a bit. Only one prepared foods vendor and not too many produce vendors. The ones that were there were quality and mostly all organic (if not all). Will come back, in summer for more vendors. Stop by the sauerkraut booth (Farmhouse Culture). They won a good food award!!! read more

They carry stuff that are hard to find even at specialty stores. Go before 10 if you want the best selection. Go after 11 if you want to negotiate for better prices before the farmers pack up and leave. I've been to many farmers market around the bay area and this is by far the best. read more

I've been going here for years and enjoy it as a Saturday "outing." (I am just catching up on some of my reviews/experiences at establishments all over the county or I would have posted years ago). This market has everything you could possibly need from meat to veggies to bread to coffee, flowers, etc. and sometimes they have nice live music. I've never had a problem parking there. Just be sure to have your money ready (smaller bills are preferred) and bring your canvas bags. I love dogs, but leave your dogs at home (it can get very warm on hot days so don't leave them in the car). Farmer's markets in general are not inexpensive, but if you budget well and develop a relationship with the vendors, you will be able to get some nice deals and have great quality food. read more

I recently moved out of state and miss having so much great produce around. This is the best farmers market I've been to in the Bay Area - not too big but there is still an abundance of choice. My favorites include strawberries from Windmill Farm (most fragrant and delicious strawberries I've ever had), bread from Companion Bakeshop (get there early for baguettes since they sell out), cheese from Schoch Family, cherries during cherry season and figs from Minazzoli farms, and sweet and juicy nectarines from one of the vendors at the top level of the market (don't remember their name). There are always performers and you can find all sorts of specialty foods here too. Highly recommend! read more

By far this is my favorite Farmers Market. The vendors are friendly and very helpful, when I don't know how to prepare something they are always open to suggestions on how to prepare and serve. There is a lady who sells grass fed meat and during the winter delicious oranges (great for juicing). The meat is reasonably priced compare to what you are getting. The man selling eggs recycles the egg containers which I think is great, I always felt bad throwing my cartons out... now I can reuse them. Plus the eggs are a great price and the large eggs are actually large, cage free, all natural eggs. The seafood stand is also great, mostly line caught from Monterey Bay, sustainable fishing only and the fish is so tasty... we love it... even our little 6 year old will eat it up, which is a lot to say cuz he won't even eat the fish from Whole Foods. One of my other favorite stands is the Sauerkraut stand, they usually have 3 to 4 different flavors and Kraut juice shots for a buck. So yummy. I have been to most of the Farmers Markets in the greater Bay Area, from San Fransisco to Aptos and this is my favorite. It takes me 25 minutes to drive to every other Saturday and it is so worth it. read more

This is the largest farmer's market in this area. Held every Saturday from 8-12:00 am at Cabrillo College upper parking lot, there is always plenty of parking. They have a fresh oyster bar, several flower vendors, pet adoption, blue grass string quartet, Corralitos meat, Donelley's Chocolate, pastries, coffee, live plants, and plenty of organic produce. read more

It took me a couple times to find this farmer's market. Now that I have been here, I have no clue why really. There is a small white sign on the median on Soquel near a traffic light that says FARMERS MARKET in red letters. I suggest using that left turn signal to get in there if you took the PARK exit from Hwy 1. With that said, I love this farmer's market. There is a great selection to choose from but these are my favorites: - The AFRP area, come visit sweet adoptable animals! - Sweet Elena's bakery, you must try their almond croissant. So flakey, so moist, so good you will come back here and thank me! - The raw cheese man, only cheese stand in the market. Try the cheese called "east of edam" it tastes even better than how cute the name is. - The ladies that make fresh pasta, if you have a gluten intolerance they make gluten free pastas. Other traditional pastas are 2 for $8 or 1 for $4.50. - The sauerkraut stand is awesome, only sadness is their pretzel bun baker moved back to germany. So if you know of a pretzel baker, please let these guys know because their kraut filled pretzel buns are the bomb. - the man that sells organic juices is really friendly and knowledgeable. - there is a plant stand with loads of hanging plants, that guy will give you tons of tips for how best to care for your plants. I have an evil brown thumb and even my plants are thriving. Only spot I don't care for is the stand that sells "traffic jam" from watsonville. Not because I have anything against their jams and jellies but the guy selling, more like pushing, the jams was just kind of annoying for us to deal with. I really don't care for pressure sales. I would buy more if he would stop pushing me to "stock up" What happened to the nice lady that was running this stand before? read more
