In doing so the bank info they had for our automatic withdrawals was re-input by THEM erroneously, but we still kept getting our monthly text AND statement stating our payment had been made! When we went to pay off the loan early, we were given the balance amount which we paid, but then, 2 months later, they notified us that there were several months that they HADN't received payments and we now OWED them $3,000 more! After several calls, the typo ON THEIR PART was discovered so we paid the extra owed. But then we discovered that THEY posted late payment penalties on our credit reports which cost us $2,000 MORE on a home loan we were closing as our credit rating had now gone down! It then took us several months to not only get them to remove the late payment notes on the credit reports but to also refund us LATE CHARGES they had included in the extra payoff needed!! I emailed the company's president and several Execs and NEVER got a response from them - I could only work with line managers. I will NEVER buy anything from a company that uses this financing company for their loans as Aqua Finance DOES NOT care about their clients! Bad financial contract.... endless loan program if you follow what they tell you. Only way out is to pay all the balance off at one shot, then why you need to finance a loan??? 75% of your payment is going to "interest payment" and only 25% or less goes to the principal, which goes up every month by "the interest rate." 15 months of total $3000 payment toward $10,000 loan amount... now only my principal/ loan amount is down by $500 only... rest of $2500 was applied to the interest that I owe to them... when saying $99.00/mo minimum payment. In their term, "minimum" means payment amount without penalty. It doesn't mean anything that exceeded amount to go to the principal. They take same ratio of 75/25. The actual rate is unbelievably high, and they buried the real numbers in confusing paperwork. So far, I've paid over $6,500 on a $5,000 product--and I still owe thousands more. I was forced into using this company by state farm who had no respect for their customers by dumping us into a company so deservedly poorly rated. First off I worked hard for my nearing 800 credit score to have sf do this to their customers makes me want to transfer ALL business from sf & probably will during renewals! sf sent letter dated 3/14/25 informing of this impending disaster happening on 4/14. New & old acct number, mailing address, effective date, etc. all provided in letter. NO contact from aqua until after my payment was processing on 4/30/25. Went to web address provided after effective date 4/14. Abt 4/16-4/19. Always set payment right after current payment processed. My May payment would have been scheduled before this with sf. Using info provided I couldnt access customer portal. I tried repeatedly, confirming info I input. I didn't know then aqua had made a major MISTAKE. So instead I went to my bank, where they do their job. Where I have them send out my important payments, like mortgage & some others to set up a payment profile for aqua using info sf provided, that aqua was supposed to have provided to sf. My bank didn't recognize the tiny business so checks would have to be mailed. Again a major inconvenience to me now sf dumped us. I normally set payment on the 1st, as when I get my VA disability payment. For YEARS, this had always been just fine with sf, payment arrived before past due. Now no one cared to ask their customers their opinion on something that had been standard for several years. Anyway, I set it for 4/30 & post 5/1. Payment wasn't due until 5/5 or 5/8 I think. I'd always had it scheduled in advance, got there on time & never needed anything other than this working process. On 4/30 aqua finally makes contact with me. When I told them I had been unable to get into their website, I was told, "oh, that's not the account number. We didn't know (sf letter) we were going to use old account number." Don't cha think this IMPORTANT piece of payment requirement should have been addressed immediately by letter? Maybe in a welcome letter? Or in an, "oops we made a major mistake letter? The moment you all decided not to use a new acct number? Even though I told her, I had been to the site, she sent an email on 4/30 while we were talking. I got the impression she didnt understand I had already set up payment because if I had waited it would definitely have been late & I would probably do that next month. Heavy accent so may not fully understand English. I told her my payment had already been scheduled earlier (by this late contact it was in payment processing at the bank & unable to be canceled to correct) using the ONLY information provided by sf who apparently got the information from aqua & there was no way to stop the process. With their major mistake, they would need to be watchful of payments (checks) directly from a bank not matching account numbers on file. She kept trying to push me to the site like I was going to make another payment. Again, heavy accent, may not fully understand English. I was frustrated at this whole mess & her not understanding aqua & sf created the major mess & topped it off with wrong information they both felt was unimportant to tell customers for proper payment processing! I DONT WAIT UNTIL DUE DATE TO MAKE PAYMENTS! As with sf, my preference is mailing all documentation. Been through too many internet issues when things disappear so I always use paper documentation. I get the impression aqua didn't even consider sf customers preferences. She did however ask "you didn't get a letter from us?" I finally got a letter on 5/2 or 5/3 that was dated April 3, with the WRONG info on that one too. Address was correct, so I think it was mailed after call. At no point have a I received a "correction of your account info" by aqua. The after the fact email on 4/30 doesnt mention error. 5/13 call - Snotty attitude, I immediately got impression she thought I hadnt made payment. First of all, I'm sick & trying to sleep at 8 am & you want me to clean up your mess? My bank is investigating. Bank recorded funds posted removed from account on 5/1/25, It was mailed. aqua wants to impose late fees because they cant find my payment. I did my part with information sent to me & situation not of my origination. Now you want to fine me for all your screw ups? Had I had the RIGHT account number when I initially went to their website none of this would have been happening!!! Because it was the wrong account number aqua provided which kept me from getting into their payment portal I went elsewhere to make my payment BEFORE due date. The mid-month change over - technically left only a couple of weeks to get payment set up to a new company & then not being notified by aqua until only a couple days before payment was due THEY made a major mistake is NOT a problem created by me! A loan created by Pure Homes was sold to Aqua Finance. As it turns out, the loan accrues interest, at the rate of 13% from the date you sign it. You are given the ability to not pay on the loan for three months, but the interest adds up anyway. Sadly for Aqua Finance, my wife and I have enough spare money to pay off the loan in full before the first month passes. So, at most we will have a small interest charge. And when I see that, I will pay that off as well. I called up Aqua Finance to let me them know they have a dead loan on their hands, and the CSR wanted to go through the usual nonsense. I told her, none of that mattered, and asked her why she was working for a company like that. Don't they have any better jobs up in Wausau, Wisconsin. I guess not. Remind me to not stop in Wausau. Absolutely the worse company and incredibly unprofessional. They approved us for a loan, everything was good, the work was started, and then half way through the work they pulled the loan. The person I spoke to over the phone messed up the information I gave them which deemed us "no longer qualified". When I tried to call back to clarify the information, no one would talk to me about MY account. Long story short, we ended up having to take money out of our retirement to pay for the work since they pulled funding halfway through, we couldn't stop the work and had to pay. After reading all of the horrible reviews, I guess I'm thankful we are dealing with them. Stay away from them! read more

Obviously in cahoots with dealers. So, in essence, they are "car" dealers themselves even though this loan was for a camper. We were "denied" a loan (after a deal had been made but later deemed to be too good of a deal) so shut down the day before we were to go into the dealer to sign all of the paperwork. After calling Aqua and finding out that we were NOT actually denied, we contacted the dealership. They bumbled around, said there was some "mix up" and set up another date to get the deal done. When we ultimately decided to not go ahead with the loan, we then received letters from Aqua that our loan was denied due to being delinquent on multiple loans and multiple credit checks. Well, the camper dealer had run our credit twice during this whole debacle and we had just bought a new truck earlier in the year so our credit had been run at least 5 times. We have four loans and three are auto paid every month. We have double-checked on the other and NONE are delinquent nor ever have been (otherwise, we wouldn't each have over an 800 credit score). This loan would have been for a camper. We have bought and paid for multiple campers in the past 30+ years and never been "delinquent" on ANY loan. This lending company is shady and a joke. Stay far away! There is a reason why their reviews are not good. I have also submitted info to the BBB. ADDENDUM: I got a letter from Aqua claiming that their statements were "valid." Because we knew this was bogus, we have reached out to each lender and verified (even though we already knew Aqua was full of ****) that ALL of our loans are paid up as agreed upon and ON TIME within each contract (otherwise, would we have scores so high?). Don't take my word for it, just look at their reviews. This is a criminal company to do business with. Also, after leaving a review on the camper dealership, they assured me that "we had a deal" had I just shown proof of insurance. These are the greasiest people you will ever deal with. Look elsewhere. There is a reason why they are less than 2 out of 5. They are trash. People DON'T get denied a loan when the buyers make $250+ and both have credit scores over 800. I am so very frustrated and appalled by the ineptitude and almost borderline scammer type behavior I have experienced with Aqua Finance. In October 2024, we sold our house and paid off our loan. We were had payments auto-drafted from our account monthly. In the midst of paying off our loan, an automatic payment was sent to the company. We moved, obviously. During the transition between changing addresses, Aqua Finance indicated they sent a check to our old address. We had our mail forwarded and albeit, sometimes it doesn't work as we intended. I'll give them that pass. Flash forward 8 months later - I am STILL fighting with this company to get our overpayment sent. No one at Aqua Finance contradicts or denies we are owed an overpayment. Of the last 10 representatives we have spoken to, each one has validated we overpaid the account by a few dollars shy of 1000.00. They have to escalate the calls to a department that needs to review our request and send us a check. Last conversation with a representative - a check was mailed to us on April 24th, 2025. I have not received a check from them. Representative indicates it can take up to 8 weeks to receive a check and it has only been 5 weeks since the check was sent. Basically be patient. Unbelievable. Take care consumers - please make sure you do not overpay a cent to this finance company. They are wonderful about taking your payment on time - to the day, but God forbid if you overpay them. You have to wait 8 months (so far) to get a check mailed to you. Of course, that's if one was even mailed. Referred to Lyon Financial (AQUA FINANCE?) by pool builder Sandcastle Pools LHC, AZ. 1/16/22 I go online and applied they offered low veterans as low as 4.9 rates. I received conditional approval email 1/18/2022. I uploaded docs and it was confirmed 1/21/2022. Which I cannot access this info on the site haven't been since beginning. Lots of various emails showing attachments but there weren't any attached. When I do get info of terms etc, it was in correct and or I could never get a straight answer. I asked numerous times what the interest rate was going to be. Finally I receive an email 1/27/22 stating AQUA FINANCE issued final approval but no loan docs attached. 1/31/22 I receive email from Jesenia Cespedes no attachment a pasted doc to confirm info, it's incorrect also there's a $750 fee and interest rate at 13.99% at 240 months. I contact about the interest rate and that I'm not signing until things are agreeable. 3/3/22 rec email from jesenia with different figures, TERM IS NOW 180 MONTHS. (240 MONTH OR MORE IF LOAN WAS OVER $50,000) still 13.99% which on Lyon finance site showed as low as 4.9% veterans rate. But I see that the loan company says AQUA FINANCE. I call, I email etc leave messages and no response many times. Also I had numerous inquiries done by this company YESENIA the rep when i asked why i was not given the 4.9% she said my FICO was not high enough I have the document my they ran twice in one day score 700 one day and 699 the other day. I have been in RE for 20 yrs in one capacity or another and never have encountered such a horrible company when requesting a payoff of a lien. They sent an encrypted payoff that no one could open. Honest mistake? Said they would send a PDF and did not. Wasted my seller's time and promised to resend and a week later still have not. So he called again. Spoke with a supervisor who promised to send in 24 hours. 3 days later still nothing! Reading these reviews seems they are a big scam doing work and their business model is to keep charging until you have paid them 3 times the price via finance charges! They should not be allowed to offer financing at all. They are the definition of scam operation. According to the statement online my balance has gone up even though I have continued to make my payments monthly. I called and they said it was an error but they were unable to provide an explanation or any updated information about my account.
