We we're all very well prepared for the knowledge checks. The pool portion of the training is really a great experience. We did the Friday, Saturday class. This worked best for our schedules. It makes for a long day, but Kim was patient and professional the entire day. If you have no knowledge or experience with diving, but have a desire to learn and an open mind, this is the place to go. You will leave class confident in your abilities.

I'm so glad I signed my girls up for swimming lessons with this company. They have several…read morelocations to choose from and times of day. Locations in Byron, Kathleen, Perry, Fort Valley and Bonaire. My girls did level 1 with Ms. Jenna and even with the classes being 30 mins long (which initially I thought wasn't long enough) it's just the right amount of time and the progress they make is amazing. Description of the classes is on the website. Classes are Monday thru Thursday and Friday is used as a make up day in case of bad weather and cancelation. Ms. Jenna and the instructors were amazing. So patient with the kids and super encouraging. They knew the kids by name. My girls were skipped to level 3. They were too excited and would be so proud of the progress they made each day. We took level 3 with Alyssa and her team were the same as Ms. Jenna's. The instructors keep the kids safe. There was like 4 instructors and one sits up top to monitor the kids. I never feared for my kids safety because they maintained structure throughout the lessons. At the end of each class the kids would do fun activities. For level 1 they would dive for rings. In level 3 they would do crazy jumps into the pool. I would highly recommend this for kids. If they ever create an adult only class I'd sign up. My kids are bummed that they have to wait until next summer for level 4 - they're looking forward to learning strokes. The classes are held in the pool of individual's homes. You get the address right before classes will begin. So seating may vary. I would recommend taking a lawn chair just in case. For swimwear - no goggles or nose plugs. My girls just wore their swimsuit and swim cap to help keep their hair dry.

We started when she was just 5 months, and now as a 10 month old she is completely comfortable in the water. She swims under water with assistance and actually wants to go under! She's not afraid to go into the pool or get water on her face. We love the calm learning environment at Swimmerman and really feel like we get great individual attention even tho it's a group class. Our instructor knows my daughter well and knows the perfect "next step" with her in the pool. It's backyard swimming with great instructors who show you how to take what you learn with you.
