So glad I chose 1 Act for my driving lessons (wanted a refresher). Thank you Jamaica for making…read morethe lessons a great learning experience. Professional and full 2 hour lessons.

I signed up for a risk reduction class in December with the classes beginning on Monday, 1/12/26. I…read moredidn't receive the link until Friday 1/9/26 explaining that a workbook was needed (physical or virtual). I requested a physical workbook due to my eyesight and was told to be at the Duluth office to pick it up on Monday by 4:00 (they are not open on weekends) on the day of the class (1/12/26). I left work early and arrived by 4:00 only to find they were closed. I was told the office manager left early and I had to view the workbook electronically. That was just the first red flag. I realized early in the class that the instructor did not seem to like me by his responses to my answers to some of his questions. I was trying to show that I was present and participating, but he was condescending and he belittled/berated me if he disagreed with my responses. By the last day, he questioned in class if the children that I work with even like me (the classes are recorded). This was personally not a positive experience for me. I would not recommend. Finally, the communication appears to be primarily via text messages, and the beginning of the thread seems to be automated (at least over the weekend) since I asked questions that were never answered and the responses were generic. It asked if wanted to participate in another program, but when I asked what it was, I didn't receive an answer. If you text them with issues during the week, an actual person will respond, it just takes a while.

6740 Shannon Pkwy, Union City, GA 30291…read more This is the absolute most unprofessional defensive driving school. I am wondering if the Dept of Driver services regulates who can run them. I called and set an appointment over a week and a half in advance. The man tells me that I was ok to attend the 7-10pm 2 day course and provided the location. He explained that it was at 383 Marietta street which was 3-4 min from my home. When I got there, they told me that the class would be in Union City. Almost 35 min from me! I had to take the course at that time as it was already planned out on my schedule. He told me it would take 15 min to get there and to follow him. I followed this man who was speeding down the highway and when I got there, he said we would have made it sooner if I didn't drive so slow... Umm hello??? I drove the speed limit of 65 and was not trying to get a ticket going to defensive driving school!! He was combative and told me that I had a choice to take the class or go home. The actual instructor was nice but it was extremely painful to sit there and listen to him read the whole manual. He literally...Read the pages and it was far from being an interactive course. And his voice was not pleasant to listen too. The video materials used had examples and statistics from 1998 and out of date procedures. On the second day of training, he arrived late while we were all there on time. I was even able to make it on time with the President being in ATL and causing havoc to the traffic. Once again, I had to come down there from the location that I initially signed up for. He arrived, with no apologies, opened up the office and began to start reading the book again after a video. While we were in class, the guy that initially had me drive out there came into the office and started playing music. Regardless of how low it was, it was distracting. After we finished over an hour early, they put on a movie to watch. The put on the un-edited version of "Friday", with all of the curse words and racial terms being used. I found that to be ironic being that the entire office and classroom is covered in religious verses. I felt uncomfortable hearing the "N" word and curses while we waited to be allowed to leave. Don't come here.....

They understand that and make sure they do their best to help me go through my classes with ease. The owner is a very hard working man and make himself invovled with the whole process.

The first driver Imani Hines deserves a negative 100 (and that's being genorous to say the least). She phoned the night before to confirm address and advise she would be about 20 minutes late (no problem). On the day of the lesson, she arrived an hour late and then stated she waited for him for over 20 minutes. She was actually parked in the neighbor's driveway for about 5 minutes. At the time we realized she was in the neighbor's driveway and came out for thte lesson, she was clearly agitated along with rude and disrespectfful. She stated she could not take him as a result of HIS tardiness despite us having waited for her for over an 1. She then preceded to cancel his lesson for the next day leaving us with no lesson for 4 hours. Upon contacting customer service (which is a joke) as they were equally disrespectful, rude and unwillingly to try to find a resolution or support the customer. As a result of not getting lessons and being unable to find a driver to reschedule the lessons, I kindly asked for a refund and was told refunds can only be issued within the first 48 hours. We were blessed with finding Sharon McBride who is patient, respectful and a joy to work with however, Ms. McBride was only able to complete one lesson with my son. On day two of his lessons they were unable to begin the lesson as a result of an emergency surgery that was needed by the driver. She has been a very pleasant and supportive person to work with, however as a result of her emergency surgey, she was unable to finish the remaining 4 hours. Furthermore, I have had zero success in scheduling appointments, (its now June 10, 2025 and there are no appointments for the rest of this month and July. At this point, I would like a refund and an apology for the inconvenience and very disrespectul behavior of the customer service representative as well as how unprofessional and rude the driver Imani Hines. If I could give a 0 for the review, I absolutely would. The service has been subpar at best and I ams still without lessons for my son. I deeply regret signing him up for lessons with A1driving. It is now September and she has yet to have a single hour behind the wheel. She works so she has to plan in advance to make sure it works with her job schedule. I said I want my money back so I can book a reliable company and was told they'd call me back. That hasn't happened. Do yourself a favor and find a different company.
