I bought a home in Pullman. A NEW home. Winter is here and I paid for this company to winterize my system. Apparently, the neighbors are ok, but I'm having issues with the pipe that burst, outside of my home. If I had a choice, I would not have bought this home if I knew Aqua-Lawn installed the sprinkler system. I have regrets in life, but this just fell into the be top 5. I'm happy I'm under a 1 year warranty with the Dr who sold this house to me so I don't have to worry about spending 5k to 10k to install a new system. Summary. If you like to gamble, want to experience hell on this earth, don't care for money, then go with Aqua-Lawn. They are great!!!!! read more

I would NOT recommend this company. We had a sprinkler system put in- we ended up having a water issue with concrete steps always being wet ... long story short the poorly trained help put the pipe through our drain tile! This was the cause of the leak . When we discovered this issue, I called the company. And requested a call back from the owner. I got a secretary who said Brandon world call.... Five days later nothing So I called back and she said "oh he left you a voice message " which was not true. He did not leave any messages. And then she proceeded to tell me that they are not responsible for unlocated lines. This is a drain tile it is not a line ! And common sense would dictate that there would be a drain pipe just a foot away. The secretary was very unhelpful and per instructions from Brandon - It is our responsibility and problem and that they will not fix it free of charge. This sham company showed up on the windiest day and blew seed all over our property. I expressed concerns about the weather, but was told the warranty would cover any areas not seeded properly. Despite contacting the company many times, we were met with a snotty attitude, blame on us and just complete rudeness. If we didn't water/fertilize properly, how come our lush grass grew in over 50% of the lawn? I would avoid this company at all costs. read more

Aqua Lawn applied hydro seed at my new construction on 5/17/2024. It was very windy with sideways rain coming down during the entire application. The application was not applied in an even manner and several areas looked like washboard. I submitted a note with my payment explaining there was an issue with the manner it was laid and received a call informing me that they would not be coming out to reapply unless there was another job scheduled nearby, but could send someone out to give me a small bag of dry seed. I followed the directions given to me on their pink handout. Around June/July I called again stating that it did not take in some areas and was told no one had been scheduled for a job near me. On Monday, 16 Sept 2024 I left a message asking if we were going to be able to come up with a solution since the winter was fast approaching. I received a call back after calling a second time later in the week telling me that the owner would call me soon. The call occurred 23 Sept 2024...from the get go Brandon blamed me for the hydro seed not taking, first saying I did not fertilize, (I did and have the receipts showing I purchased fertilizer), then saying I didn't water enough, then telling me I over watered. He was unprofessional and rude, and obviously was not going to back his own warranty, even though the instructions were followed to the letter. It got to the point in the conversation I had to ask him several times to stop talking, and when he didn't, I told him he need to shut the f-up so I could speak. He hung up on me and obviously will not honor his warranty...Fertilizer was applied, I had to supply my own over seeding, watering instructions were followed on on timers and moved to ensure the mulch stayed green. As mentioned before it had areas that were not applied properly from he beginning. I spent a little over $3,400.00 for 1/2 an acre worth of hydro seed. Avoid this company, find someone else to hydro seed. As for sprinkler systems and landscaping, in the Whitman/Latah County area, use RAIN DROP SPRINKLERS. Aqua Lawn is full of surprises! From exposed wires in the control box to mislabeled sprinkler heads, the best surprises come later. Came home at 830 AM to my fence wide open, one of the employees looking under my car in the driveway, and my dogs nowhere to be seen. Wonderful that they neglect to inform you of their arrival, and will take liberties to access your property while you are not home. It's grass. You don't need to waste your money with these idiots to set up a sprinkler system. Ensure your peace of mind and spend the money on home camera systems instead. read more

My fiancé got hired here and was SO excited to start. He has a ton of experience in landscaping and was super stoked to start...but boy, we were not prepared for this one. All of the other employees were talking about drugs which obviously made him very uncomfortable. As if that wasn't already a bad start, a lot of their equipment was broken and made it really difficult for him to do what he was supposed to be doing. One of their wheelbarrows was super busted and ended up cutting him super badly. I know labor jobs are never easy, but he came home WAY MORE banged up than he should have been. After his first day, he called the boss to let him know that given how badly he was hurting, he would not be able to continue the job. The boss said he understood. My fiancé called last week and told him he still would like to get his pay from the one day that he worked. We haven't heard back from them and have called a few more times and they have yet to call us back. Not a company that I recommend supporting. read more

They showed up with a big crew installed new sprinkler system leveled the ground and hydro seeded. All this in one day. I started mowing 4 weeks later. They did miss a small area that needed rock. If you need any landscaping/irrigation work I highly suggest Guardian Property Services. Aqua lawn is run by a very unprofessional snob. They did an irrigation system in St John and when told they messed up, they charged an unreasonable amount when fixing THERE mistakes they shouldn't charge anything. read more

Hired this company to come rip my yard out, bring top soil in to level it out, edge, lay rock and hydro seed. They showed up with very inexperienced people. The boss had to show everyone how to do what they were doing and then he left. We didn't get top soil and they didn't level the yard properly. They hydro-seeded and we got weeds instead of grass. When we called them about it, they said it wasn't their problem that we didn't water it properly. They offered to come out and spray the yard but then I would have to pay for it. I am not paying for their mistake. Very rude and unprofessional company to work with. I would NOT recommend these guys at all. read more

They will also make adjustments to accommodate any changes that may be made during their service. We purchased a new home with Hayden Homes and Aqua Lawn landscaped our front yard and it was the WORST sod install that my husband and I have ever seen! They didn't do may prep work...they just laid the sod over the tough clay dirt and rocks on our front yard property! Additionally the electrical cord to the sprinkler system wasn't even 2 inches underground in the dirt and wasn't covered by any pvc piping! Received landscaping, sprinkler system install, and hydroseeding from this company. They are always speedy and professional, as well as flexible to each customer's wishes and needs. We called them about a problem with one of our sprinkler heads (aiming issue), and they were at our door within 90 minutes, and had the problem resolved in under 10 minutes. Poor quality and no customer service. AquaLawn installed a sod lawn and sprinklers for our new home. They were clearly in a huge rush. The work is very sloppy, and the sprinklers run poorly. After just two days, a main sprinkler water line that had not been correctly clamped blew out and badly flooded our yard. AquaLawn never responded to us about the problem, never apologized, and never made any effort to make things right. Had to get a different landscaper to fix all the problems. Very disappointing. Probably the biggest rip off artists in the sprinkler business. Any home owner considering using this company should first consult the Internet/bookstore/home improvement warehouse for trouble-shooting tips on any sprinkler problem you might have. I made the mistake of calling for an "electrical" problem which turned out to be a faulty solenoid valve. This took all of 6 minutes to repair...want to know what we were charged for a cheap solenoid valve that one can find at Home Depot for a couple of bucks and 6 minutes of the repair mans time? 68 dollars!!! Are you kidding me?!?! Did this guy go to some Ivy League sprinkler school I haven't heard of?!?! His vast knowledge must be worth it's weight in gold! Honestly because of this company I will trouble-shoot all sprinkler problems and stick to do-it-yourself. My time is valuable but I'm not going to pay someone that kind of hard earned money for a cheap replacement part that's been "marked up" for a business to gain from. read more
