My friends and I were looking for a fun place to get pedicures and since we saw they had really good ratings we decided to try it. We walked in and asked for four pedicures and they said they were able to do them, but while we were choosing our nail polish other customers walked in and they asked if we had appointments and we told them no so they said we had to leave even though we had our polish and everything was ready. I don't get my nails done too often, but usually get white tip acrylics when I do. Had a very positive experience with Sherri. Have ghone 3 times within 1 month. Due to a previous engagement the first day, I did nails and pedicure on different days. Did refill after 3 weeks. Just be prepared to be asked about extra services (which cost EXTRA as well).....I made appointments all 3 times due to my experience at another salon. But they got me RIGHT in when I got there. read more

I had the worst experience EVER at a nail salon today at Aqua Nails. I had Sherry do my mani/pedi. She cut my toe severely and couldn't get the bleeding to stop it was cut so bad. She put tons of liquid skin on it making it look like a mound of fake skin. Then throughout the rest of her pedicure she'd try to pick off the liquid skin that she had poured on. None of my toe nails or fingernails were carefully filed and I had to ask her to fix how uneven they were. In my hast to flee this dreadful place I left my cell phone. When I realized it an hour later and went back, I said to her "I think I left my phone here", which she promptly replied "NO, your phone not here!" When I walked over to where I had been sitting, THERE WAS MY PHONE! Please avoid having this horrible experience by not going to this Aqua Nails. read more

I walked in on a Friday afternoon around 2:30. There were 2 people getting pedicures and no one waiting. I expected to wait or perhaps work around appointments as I was a walk-in. They asked what I needed and I stated I wanted dip with tips. Sherry said it would be about 15 minutes and I could soak my nails off while I waited. No problem, right? I showed them what I wanted from pinterest. No we don't do marble. No we don't do ombre. A little odd, but ok. So I asked to see the color samples. They had a small basket of dip and about 10-15 nail color samples. I was asked to dig through the basket to find my color - while I had foil on all of my fingers. The dip color in the powder is a little different than what's on your fingers in the end - but okay. Then this is where it got worse. She said she would have to have Sherry do the dip/tips because she didn't know how. No problem, I say. Then Sherry comes over, tells me she has to do acrylic because she doesn't have time for the dip with tips. Ummm okay? This is what I told you I wanted when I came in. I ask why she didn't tell me then and she ignored the question. Then she gives me all of the gel colors to look at. I said I don't want gel, I want dip. Again I'm told she doesn't have time. At this point I should have just walked out. So I have all of these colors in front of me trying to look at them, she's grabbing my hand gluing on tips. I hear her ramble something about almond shape. She cuts them off and asks if I like them. I tell her I wanted them shorter. She tells me they are better longer. I tell her again to cut them shorter. She starts getting upset. Yanking my hands around. I'm still trying to pick out my color. Then she gets mad at me for taking so long and says to "just pick one. If you don't like it, you don't have to pay." Again - I should have left long before this. I just wanted to find a certain color I was looking for. Of course I never found it and ended up with almost the same color I had on when I came in. She tried to talk me into a color with glitter over the top. I told her no 3 times that I didn't like it and she just kept getting more and more upset with me. While she's doing my nails, she burned my skin with the dremel tool on 4 of my fingers. They are still scabbed and sore 4 days later. She keeps yanking on my hands and using her fingernail to separate the acrylic from my fingers - which is normal - but she was so aggressive with it. I kept telling her it hurt and she just kept doing it and saying she was sorry. She was in such a hurry that my nails are all crooked, they aren't filed properly, the acrylic is uneven, and I felt pressured to pick a color and a shape. I felt rushed, and definitely wasn't appreciated as a customer. All of this could have been avoided if she'd told me in the first place she didn't have time. I could have come back later. I could have scheduled an appointment for another day. But instead I get crappy, rude, hateful service, and nails that I didn't want with a shape I wasn't sure I wanted (hindsight, I will never get almond shape again haha). I have been there many times and generally like the service I receive. But never again after this experience. I do have to say that the lady who finished me up was so nice. She was gentle, patient, gave me a hand massage and a shoulder massage. She was definitely the highlight of the experience. I will be finding somewhere else to go from now on, though. read more

I visited this location on a whim and was very happy with my experience. All of the Yelp reviews were positive so I gave it a shot. I was in the Grand Prairie mall area and needed to get my no chip manicure redone. I had visited 2 other nail salons in the area and they were just OK. I won't go into detail about which ones because this review isn't about them. Angel and her parents were fabulous! Not only was my manicure done perfectly, but the overall atmosphere of the salon was wonderful. Angel was the technician who did my nails and she was friendly and professional. Everyone (even the other patrons getting their nails done) were so nice. It made me feel like I had been going their forever, when in reality it was my first time. Angel and Sherry (her mom) are on a first name basis with their clients. They talk to you and try to engage in conversation rather than speaking [in a foreign language] to each other. I really appreciate that about this salon! I highly recommend giving this place a shot, you won't be disappointed. read more

I have been to this nail salon several times over the past 2-3 years prior to my visit. I knew they were particular about booking an appointment, especially on a Saturday. I called on Friday 6/29 at 2:00 p.m. I was told the only time I could have 4 appointments all at the same time would be to come at 4:30. We booked 2 mani's and 2 pedi's. We had out of town guests and wanted to spend some girl time and pampering. We arrived about 5-7 minutes early. We were promptly seated. There was one man assigned to do both our pedi's, but I was unaware of this as I sat there until 4:54. When I inquired with the gentleman who scheduled the appointments as to when someone was going to do my pedicure, he mumbled something unintelligible that I think was English and then continued muttering under his breath in his native language. I still sat there unattended soaking in the now luke warm water. The man finished my friend's pedi telling her someone else would paint her toe nails. He started mine and apologized for making me wait. He finished mine and a different person painted my toes. He began another pedi on someone not in our party. For some reason this did not set well with his co-workers as they began loudly bickering in their native language. As the owner painted my toes, she loudly told them to SHUT UP!! Which they ignored. Not once did she, or the man who booked the appointments, apologize or offer us something to drink or a free visit for the future. Nothing. Our out of town guests were not impressed, nor was I. I walked in here early on a Monday morning. They were fairly busy. They called in a girl who was supposed to be coming in later to do my nails. She arrived quickly and was super nice. She did an excellent job! I got a mani and pedi and they look great. I've had issues in the past with gel nails staying on. She really took her time and I have had no issues. Clean place but they over charged me like crazy nothing like what I was told the pricing was. Way to expensive for what I got. The girl that did my pedicure was really nice, but the one that did my manicure was extremely rude. Everything I ask for to her seemed to be a huge burden on her life. Probably will never return.
