One of my favorite parts was the stingray area where you can actually touch them. That was such a cool experience, especially since it's included with your standard ticket at no additional cost. I remember there being a dolphin show when I was younger, so I was actually looking forward to seeing that again. Unfortunately, they weren't doing shows during our visit because they had some new whales and were giving them time to get acclimated to Shedd. Not a big deal though, since there was still so much to see. We got to see all kinds of sharks, fish, and other sea life throughout the aquarium. We also got a family picture taken at Shedd as a souvenir. It was almost $40, which is definitely expensive for one picture, but honestly, I expected prices like that at a place like this. The only downside was how crowded it was when we went. There were so many people that certain areas felt really packed, and it also got super hot in some parts of the aquarium. Definitely be prepared to bump shoulders with people and sweat a little if you're visiting on a busy day. Overall, I'm really happy I got to come back after all these years. I bought a fish that only started to get sicker and sicker as days went on from the store and had to return it which they thankfully allowed me to. Some of the fish experts aren't as knowledgeable as ones used to be in the past. I brought my water in to get tested as well to see if it was something that was wrong with my parameters, only to find out my water was tested with testing strips and not the more accurate test tubes with droppers. Just disappointed overall since I would walk through the fish aisles and saw multiple fish dead that weren't fished out and even saw other fish eating the dead corpse of another fish. I will be taking my business elsewhere even though I used to love coming here a lot.
