I really wanted to like this absolutely stunning restaurant given its fantastic atmosphere, and was hoping to make it our "go-to" restaurant for Mexican food, but the food was very disappointing. I ordered the lunch portion of chicken enchiladas and my plate was swimming in a very bland red sauce and looked sloppy and not appetizing at all. The rice portion was too small and it was barely lukewarm. My husband ordered the chicken fajitas and the protein was good but the sauce was bland as well. Service was great though. Ok here me out. The ambience, the service, the drinks are amazing. Their homemade salsa and guacamole was fresh and chips were good. The only reason I give it 3 stars is bc this place gets super crowded and unless you go on an off time you will be waiting for a very long time. The food is ok but I've only had the ribeye which I had 2x the first time it was soft and flavorful the second time the meat was not so flavorful or soft. The garlic shrimp which I also ordered 2x the same second time it was bland and the ceviche is just meh. However, the vibe is fiesta time with great music and drinks. With it being crowded they weren't very concerned about seating, the 2 of us had a table ment for 6. Again it was busy so it took awhile for the food to come out. We were really excited to try this place, especially since its sister restaurant had been a great experience for us. Unfortunately, this one didn't quite live up to those expectations. On the positive side, the service was excellent. friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The ambiance is also a big win. The space feels thoughtfully designed and creates a really enjoyable atmosphere. Where things fell short for us was the food. Nearly everything we tried was overly salty, to the point that it overpowered the flavors rather than enhancing them. Beyond that, the dishes just didn't have much depth or standout taste. It wasn't terrible, but it definitely wasn't memorable in a good way either. We really wanted to love this place, and maybe it was an off night, but based on this visit, the food just didn't match the quality of the service or the setting. We stopped here during a quick shopping trip and sat at our favorite place - the bar. Drinks were good but the service definitely requires more attention. We ordered drinks, got some chips and salsa and put in our order for lunch once we finished that first drink. It took our meals over 45 minutes (from the time we ordered them) to get to us. Meanwhile, there were multiple parties that came in and ordered and received their meal prior to us (we ordered nothing special). At least 3 bartenders during that time checked on our food and each time we were told it would be just a few minutes. Finally, I got the bar manager's (Gian) attention who walked into the kitchen to come out and blame the kitchen "systems" and told us it would be another 10 minutes. By this time I was on my 4th drink and starving. But we were at the bar and there were multiple bartenders who stopped and asked about our food before anything got done. Our meals took just shy of one hour to get to us from the time we ordered them. As a bar manager, I would have expected Gian to take some responsibility but he just deferred to the staff and systems in the kitchen (who couldn't see that we had been sitting there for so long waiting like he and his staff could). Gian had this "oh well" attitude about it as if he was doing us a favor by getting the kitchen to actually produce our food. He took no responsibility and comp'd us 10% of the cost of the meals only. I never go out looking for a free or discounted meal. But I do like having food with my drinks and a little less attitude if something is wrong. read more

Always an extensive wait time. Food orders come out wrong. Food ordered comes out at different times, then still isn't what you ordered. Drinks are a bit unreasonably priced. They have a whole list of excuses for everything being messed up. But still expect to be paid in full. Owner should be more hands on. Many times there is a very strong Oder of decomposing food garbage coming from somewhere when sitting outside, which just kills your appetite. Tried it THREE times and now no more. read more

I had a very positive first experience at Aqua Tequila! We were seated 20 minutes after we arrived with Chips and Salsa on the table before we could blink. Who doesn't love free chips and salsa? We put in an order for queso and finished it before our waitress got back to take our order for the entrees which was about 25 minutes. I can forgive her because I knew she was very busy. The menu was huge and there were so many dishes I wanted to try. I got the Burrito California and my girlfriend got the Carne Asada. I loved the burrito and my girlfriend liked her Steak (she can be a bit pickier than I). The portions are huge which I liked. Both the ambiance and decor were very nice and the restaurant is very clean. I will definitely be back to Aqua Tequila to try some of the other dishes. The only reasons it's not a 5/5 are that the wait was a little off putting (not entirely the restaurants fault), and the price was a bit more than I thought the actual value was. I haven't given a 5 out yet because that implies perfect experience which is uncommon. A 4 is what I will give to Aqua Tequila and this place could even be rated a 4.5 with a few tweaks. I will definitely be back and can't wait to try more off of that extensive menu. read more
