Trying out our trial class today and the first thing I noticed was how nice the waiting area is. There are so many seating areas which I appreciate! And also a big open window so you can watch your child. The lady in the front was very welcoming, the instructor seems to love what she does! Clean restrooms, clean dressing rooms & nice snack options in the front that you can buy. Also when the child is done with their lesson they can grab a lollipop! My daughter seems to have loved this class and said she would like to come back! read more

My children and family love Aqua Tots. I've been bringing my children here since my oldest was only 3 and stone oak was the closest location. As soon as the helotes location opened up, we were one of the first families to enroll (in 2014 I believe!). The owner, Arlette, was so friendly and caring that to this day I remember her name. She was genuinely concerned that my son was scared to get his ears wet, so she took the time out of her day & did a private lesson (actually I think two) with just her & him to get him more comfortable. I pulled him out not long after because he just wasn't having it- and eventually we "swam around" to NISD and Emler. He learned a lot at nisd, but still nothing compared to the kindness and helpfulness we received at aqua Tots (this goes for the stone oak location too! Those instructors were just as amazing). Here we are 12 years later and I have my toddler daughter in classes for the past year, twice a week, and she absolutely loves it. She BEGS to go to swimming daily. She has learned so much and loves every instructor she has had. She's not even 2 yet and already wants to take off on her own (if only we'd let her! Haha). Now my son who is 12 is back in lessons here and has learned much more & progressed much quicker in the short amount of time here versus the other swim schools. I love that they price classes monthly versus 6-12 weeks like other places. It makes it easier to know when billing is. Every single staff member here is so loving & kind. We had an issue come up recently with billing being incorrect & the manager fixed it right away & was so apologetic. Honestly I can't brag on this location enough. Yes I do agree it's sad when your children get attached to coaches and then they leave. But I just keep in mind that these coaches are also college students who have goals themselves ! They'll always have a special place in our kids hearts. They truly do have hearts of gold and as much as we'd wanna keep them as coaches forever, we also want them to move onto bigger & better things ! My husband and I absolutely love Aqua-Tots for our son, Joshua! We have been attending classes once a week for four months now, and every class has been excellent. Joshua has shown so much improvement in his skills- I appreciate how each coach encourages and pushes us to be better. Joshua's kicks, underwater reaches, and passes have gotten strong and I know it's because of the classes. Recently, coaches Alan and Danny have been so awesome. Another thing I really like about Aqua-Tots is their communication. It's easy to get ahold of them by phone and easy to do things through the app as well. read more

The front staff at this location as well as the new Dove Creek location needs to take a course on mannerism. I can't stress enough that they are only in it for the money here, they do not care about anything else. We had a family emergency and was unable to call 30 hours in advance to let them know we wouldn't make the class. They have zero compassion, and just kept telling me "policy is". I never asked for anything from them, except to be treated with respect and kindness. The manager that works at the brand new location in Dove Creek treated me with so much disrespect, and then after we've already paid for the month decided that she herself didn't want my child in her building due to personal ego issues and ripped my child from class. If you're looking for a place to take your children, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE. The other manager kept assuring me he was going to call the owner and take care of it, but I have yet to see this happening. Do yourself a favor, take your children somewhere else! read more

GUYS - STAY AWAY and COMPLETE Money making institute(SCAM- ZERO stars)- They Auto-enrolled me without my consent and charged for lessons which we never attended and refusing to refund despite letting them know over the phone last month itself. Manager Cristina is rude and doesn't listen - just want to charge you for extra month.When you ask that why we were not informed they will show you * T&Cs which are never explained me at the time of signing up.They never talk about 30 Day Notice - When you want to discontinue they will force you by all means to pay you for next 1 month even if you dont like them and donot want to continue. For first 7 lessons they didn't have any feedback about my daughter's progress progress when i insisted they had her evaluated in 8th lesson. Every time we are told at the end of lessons that they are recommending for next level. PLEASE STAY AWAY THERE ARE BETTER SWIM SCHOOLS. read more

The swimming instructors are excellent! This place is very well recommended!!! The kids grow an attachment to the instructors, which is what they need in order to learn. So I took my son for a trial and the front desk was very welcoming and showed us Where to get dressed and how to get started we were escorted to the pool to join the tadpole class. Being that this was my first time I didn't know any of the songs or what to do. Obviously there was some expert families who have been going there for a little while because they knew what to do what positions to put the child what activity would come next ect. Because this was my first time as I mentioned I was completely lost and even with that being said my son knew how to swim better than these kids who have been going to classes for a while. I wanted to learn something from this class especially safety but we didn't really learn anything . They even require two diapers in the pool ( one disposable and one reusable ) to maintain cleanliness but everywhere I've gone to H-E-B and Walmart they don't seem to have the swimmers disposable diapers anymore because it's seasonal. So what can we do? The young environment is cool for the kids but I was hoping to gain some type of experience. Instead I'm going out on my own and finding a private instructor for my 8m baby. read more

My husband and I chose this place to have our son's 1st birthday. The swimming part was very enjoyable. They said we had 2 hours for the party. The first hour was for swimming and the second hour was for the cake, pizza and gifts. Our guests were looking at pictures of our baby boy and visiting with each other. The staff was hovering and started taking our plates with food still on it and we weren't sure what was going on. We weren't told that the 2 hours included cleanup time. We would've been charged for another hour if we stayed longer. In the process of them cleaning up, 2 keepsakes got thrown away! Plus, we were cutting the cake at home and found a long hair in it! I'm just glad our guests didn't bite into it! We'd go back for swimming but wouldn't schedule another party and I would suggest better communication on their part about the rules. read more

We have been bringing our son here about 1 year and recently had to cancel our credit card due to some fraudulent charges that occurred right before going on vacation so when they tried to charge our credit card this month, it did not go through and when they called us we were not in the country and had no cell service or email access for 7 days. As soon as we got back into the US and had cell service we got their message that was left on July 2nd and my husband went in and took care of the payment the VERY next day on July 9th but they insisted on charging him a $20 late charge. I called them and told them the extenuating circumstances and brought up the fact that this was an extraordinary occurrence since we have never had this issue but they insisted on charging us the late charge instead of working with us. I couldn't believe how rude they were, they kept putting me on hold again and again to check into this and that but kept coming back on the line to tell me the same thing that the $20 charge remains and it was our fault we had fraudulent activity and did not call them from a foreign country to update our credit card. They also tried to lie and say they spoke to my husband on July 2nd but we were not answering our phones on this day because we had no cell service. It's not about the money at this point but about the principle. The manager denessa was especially immature and snarky in handling the situation. I just felt very mistreated and I think after what happened to us they could have been a little more understanding and waived the fee. We have had to go through several companies to update our credit card info and do the same thing and everyone else has been very understanding and nice except for aqua tots. I think their employees could use some manner training and some customer service training. Or Maybe they could hire nicer people? Very upset and contemplating discontinuing lessons since my son is disinterested anyway. read more

I took my 3 children here weekly for almost a year straight (until we moved out of state). We LOVE this place! I highly recommend it and was worth every penny. My kids entered the program scared of the water and by the end they were all swimming freestyle, backstroke, and breaststroke efficiently, even my 4 year old. All the teachers were excellent and professional, yet fun and silly at times with the kids. My boys looked forward to their lessons weekly. The manager is courteous and professional. The employees learn the kids' names and greet them at the door. If you want your children to enjoy swimming and actually learn and make significant progress, come here!! My daughter was in swim classes here for a couple months when she had such a traumatizing experience that she refused to return. I couldn't even bring it up without her crying saying she never wanted to go back or even talk about it in detail. We finally tried SafeSplash and she opened up saying that her new instructor was more patient with her. She told me that she was told to jump in the water and when my daughter said she was scared or didn't know how to swim...at safesplash she was told, "That's okay, you're learning. I'm right here." But at Aqua-Tots they said, "Just DO IT!" She later told me that they were forceful and impatient. In retrospect I can see that they were probably to young to have patience to teach. Patience is important when teaching, and sometimes that comes with experience and age. Please learn from my mistake and seek someone with patience to teach your child to swim. read more

The owner called me following up from my original comment to argue with me regarding my experience. there were no discrepancies from the video footage. The owner Arlette told me that she did not ask for my business and does not want it. Please be aware when dealing with this owner and business. Owner is like nice in a rude way, swim lessons are ok, instructors change around 24/7 cause they can't keep anyone there. Only person that makes it exciting to come is that one tall guy at the desk cause my daughter finds him funny. I've been going here for over a year and my daughter is still in the same level cause there is a new instructor every week or in training. Should've left earlier in the year. Management could be a lot better. Forgetting that my daughter is here to swim, not for me to pay more for lessons if it's their fault for switching instructors. 2/5. read more
