From the very first interaction, Bryan was quick to respond and made himself available even during a busy holiday weekend. What sets him apart is how thoroughly he knows the island. He presented multiple shoot locations with example photos for each, making it easy to visualize the possibilities. Honestly, every option looked so incredible it made choosing difficult in the best possible way. Bryan's preparation is next-level. He arrived early to scout our chosen location, had detailed backup spots ready in case of any issues, and provided step-by-step walking instructions (including videos) for getting there. That last detail was a small thing that made a huge difference; it completely eased my nerves on the day. The proposal shoot itself was everything we could have hoped for. Bryan struck the perfect balance between natural, unscripted moments and thoughtful, constructive direction. He never rushed us and gave us the space to be present and truly savor the moment. After the proposal, we moved to a second location and captured some of the most cinematic engagement photos I've ever seen. One detail that blew us both away: Bryan printed polaroids of the proposal on the spot. Such a thoughtful, personal touch we weren't expecting. 11/10 experience + highly recommend :) I cannot say enough great things about Laurel & Brian. I booked them both for a proposal and engagement shoot in Bar Harbor, ME a bit last minute since after I unfortunately had an unexpected drop out. I wished I had found them from the very start given how professional they were. Not only did they get back to me in record time but I spoke with Brian on the phone at first and he took the time to put me at ease and walk me through the process. When I followed up over email, Laurel made amazing suggestions on where the best spots are along the Shore Path and pictures/tips on where to stand. They were also able to accommodate and be flexible with times which I had trouble with previously with the other photographers I spoke with. The moment went perfectly and they managed to get amazing shots of us both wide angle and zoomed. I would definitely recommend the hour session afterwards since we were able to walk down the shore path with them and take more shots & poses together. Dream Photos from a Dream Day! From the moment we met Brian for our engagement shoot in downtown Bar Harbor, we knew we had found the perfect photographer.
