I am so glad that we decided to see the show at El Molino. The theater itself is darling, and all of the seats have a clear view of the stage. We purchased a special that included a bottle of Cave and 2 tickets for 50 euros, and there was enough space at the table for us to order some tapas as well. The acoustics and special effects are incredible, and the performers are top notch. Down to the Maitre'D, everyone in the cast was a pleasure to watch and towards the end of the show there is a special acrobatic act with two dancers who we didn't see below. In order to understand it, you must first know that Sitges is the number one gay resort of Spain, being somewhat akin to what Province Town or what Key West used to be to the United States. It attracts gays from every part of the world and it is the gay element that is generally credited with making Sitges what it is; one of the most desirable locals in Spain. Everybody there is there for the camp and fun of the place and the meals they serve, though I didn't have one have been reported to me to be among the best in Sitges. There were two lines upon arrival and I'm not entirely sure what the difference between the two was, but somehow my pal and I were the last to be shuffled in via the fast moving line. We still had to pay a cover but it was the price of a drink and included a drink, so win/win all around. It's a pretty spacious venue with an upstairs and downstairs and some haphazardly roped off VIP section for people with bottle service (which seems unnecessary given the music selection and vibe of the evening). The music was a mix between rock and '80s, which is not my fave but the kiddos seemed to enjoy it. It gets packed quickly and the "Nasty" part is when these two DJs get on stage and do some interesting theatrics before they start spinning. Entertaining, definitely. The music stayed relatively the same and while it was a little more upbeat because of the energy from the stage, it got late and I grew more tired instead of "let's rage." Very danceable and fun. The crowd was pretty amazing. You could definitely hit up some convos with strangers from all over the world. Too packed close to the main stage but there were some good spots up the terrace. There was another scene down the basement playing the "nasty bass". They're DJing some EDM and electro. Honestly, the beats were not bad at all, even though we didn't know any of the music.

It is not just a beautiful building, it is one of the most photo-worthy UNESCO sites in town. Gorgeously preserved seats, wood, sculptures, stained glass, historic cafe, and don't miss those yummy balcony columns outside! There is much to love here, but if you are short on time and can only snap photos and move along, you can see it all in 20 minutes. Squeeze it in. It's one of the most beautiful buildings you've never heard of.

Also, heads up -- the main photo you see everywhere is taken from the upstairs balcony seats, so if that's the view you want, book accordingly.

The Liceu dates back to 1847, but the Grand Teatre was reconstructed after a devastating fire in 1994 under the guidance of architects Inasi de Sola-Morales, Xavier Fabre, and Lluis Dilme. The interior is lavish and extraordinary. As noted by Christine, there are not enough restrooms so I advise you relieve yourself before the performance, don't have an espresso just before. The older I get, the harder it is to handle venues without enough lavatories. The Liceu Metro stop puts you right here, it's on the Rambla so I would eat elsewhere because prices around here are astronomical.

I have absolutely no idea if this show was legit or even considered a good show to Spaniards, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Both the singing and dancing were fantastic. Not to mention, the live mini orchestra playing in the background. The cast was very in tune with their roles and it really pulls the audience in. --I can't remember what the price range was but I paid 35 euro and i sat in the 5th or 6th row from the stage. --I'd say Flamenco and a bullfight are 2 must-see things when visiting Spain.
