My friend and I got the VIP tickets, which came with two free drinks, and let me tell you ... that sangria was STRONG. The performers were incredible. The passion, live music, dancing, and energy throughout the entire show kept me fully engaged from start to finish. I was thoroughly entertained. It was weird. We had no idea what was going on. Were they making it up as they went along? Is this improvisational dance and guitar music? They should've translated some of the songs, or explained the dances, or something anything. The venue is sort of run down. The seats are terribly uncomfortable. There some fancy footwork here! The singers, guitarists and dancers put on a great show that was lively and passionate. The show was in a small, intimate venue with a bar (Theatre Barcelona City Hall). Since it was only an hour long show, I opted for the cheapest seats in Zone C and still got a good view of the stage. Zone C tickets did not come with drinks, but I could have purchased a drink if I wanted to at the bar. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it - the singing, guitar playing, foot stomping, dancing, hand clapping, finger snapping and the audience's enthusiastic shouts. The dresses were beautiful. Fun experience with a true sense of Spanish culture. The theater is in the basement, so it is a quiet and intimate setting. No cellphone service. I got a ticket for 2 drinks and a first/second row seating. The sangrias were mixed well. The staff were quick to hand both drinks to me. They were given to me at the same time before the dancing started, because they weren't serving any drinks during the show and disrupt the artists. I wanted to see a flamenco show before leaving Spain and after walking by and seeing the sign we thought it was the perfect opportunity. So we purchased our tickets online for the 10pm show. We bought the vip tickets because we thought the drinks would be continuous but later learned service stops once the show starts. The show was okay. I was looking forward to seeing the ladies, but half the show was this one guy. I mean, dude tore it up, but I was ready for something different after he was up there for 30 mins. I would NOT recommend VIP tickets to sit up in the front row. Not only because of the drink situation but also once the aforementioned guy was up there for 10 mins, sweat was flying everywhere. Eww. The rest of the show was great. Seemed a little dis-organized and I wish there was more audience participation but it is what it is. read more

My family was visiting from California and my wife and I had the opportunity for a date night while visiting Barcelon (grandma agreed to watch the kids for a few hours at the AirB&B). My wife did some quick research and stumbled across Flamenco Barcelona. We took a chance and were so glad we did! The venue was nestled in old town, the tapas and wine were great, and the performance was intimate. There was so much intensity, emotion, and passion it did not look or feel rehearsed at all. This show was just ok. I've been to Flamenco on prior visits that were more intimate and up close. Your ticket comes with a drink. We were stuck with Budweiser. Really?! Didn't try the sangria. There were four dancers in all. Half looked too much and have looked bored. Ours kids bought the tickets and got a good deal. So for that it gets the 4th star. I ordered the 'B' or middle section) row ticket, but honestly, you could order any type of ticket and still get a great show because the venue is very small and intimate. PLEASE READ!!!! Terrible terrible terrible customer service!!! I didn't even go to the show and all I can say is, avoid this company at all costs. I purchased two tickets to a show on September 5th at 1:09 pm then realized less than hour later that we would not be able to make it. I sent a refund request via email at 1:53pm. Mind you, once purchase is complete, you are sent a confirmation email with a link to your order. When you click on view your order, you are show your order number and payment details. At the very bottom left of this page, there is a link for refund policy. Once clicked, it states the following: "Our policy lasts 1 day. If 1 day have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can't offer you a refund or exchange. To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase." This has since been taken down since I brought it to their attention with my numerous emails and screenshots advising them of what their website states. Their website now states: "No refunds admitted" I have been back and forth with Robert via email for over a week, requesting my refund and providing adequate information so that my refund can be made. There has been delay getting back to me and I have sent requests for a phone number to contact. I found a number and called their customer service line today. I spoke with Jesus and explained the situation. He also claimed that there are no refunds. I asked if I could email the screenshot proving refunds are stated on website. He approved and I sent the email attention to Jesus. I called back just to confirm he got the email. He then said that everyone checks the email and once he reviews I will be contacted immediately. I requested for him just to check that it was received, he then stated he has to get back to work (isn't customer service apart of his job?) and I will be contacted immediately but immediately will take a few hours. I then asked when they closed and when he gets off so that I have an idea when I will be contacted. He then hung up on me. I proceeded to call back and seemed as though my number had been blocked or that my call was forwarded because they saw the caller ID. I am very disappointed by the unprofessional behavior shown by this company. The company should have better understanding of what they display on their website. ON ALL PAGES. Once this was brought to their attention by me, then they want to change their website? I have been given the run around and do not appreciate being hung up on. I am not sure what to make of the 2 bad reviews for this show that appear below. I ordered my ticket from their website (you save a few euros and get a free drink). I ordered the 'B' row ticket, but honestly, you could order any type of ticket and still get a great show because the venue is very small and intimate. It is not a Disney extravaganza! This is the real deal-- at my show there were several Spanish families bringing their kids to see this part of their cultural heritage. The kids were well behaved, but if kids aren't your thing, go to the later show. This is not a watered down tourist version of the dance or music that is Flamenco. They aren't going to try and wow you with pyrotechnics, fancy costumes or lighting. There are shows like that available if that is your thing-- there is a show that is half the length and twice the money and will give you all your tourist cheesy Spanish dance expectations, but if you want to get a sense of what this type of singing, guitar playing and dancing is presented in an authentic style, this is a great show to go see and it is a pretty good bargain at 15-50 euros. Yes, the theater is kind of tired but once the curtain goes up you are mesmerized by the whole atmosphere and what is happening on stage. The music is not 'bad' as one other reviewer wrote-- it is a different type of music than most Americans have been exposed to or recognize. It is embarrassing to me to see comments that reflect a real lack of cultural awareness or appreciation. Open your mind and go savor a piece of what you came to Spain to see! read more

It was like falling into a village of gitanos, this flamenco show I saw on Friday. The hostess took very good care of me - I was traveling alone - and afterward the very fine musician Antonio Mantecao posed for pictures & chatted about his lovely craft. Best of all I filmed a bit of the flamenco dancers - so passionate, so fluid. My friends back in California think I've fallen into a village with dancing gypsies. I saw ads for other flamencos shows around Barcelona- the dancers wore sequins and looked like ice skaters! - this show felt authentic, warm, for and by the people. Recommend it! read more

Save your money. The place is disgusting, dirty and the service awful and not worth the cost. The dancing is okay, 3 dancers that danced solo for 15 min each with a background band. No traditional costumes or real entertainment. Also- don't bother with the "drink included" ticket- you won't get served. Total rip off! read more
