Run fast and run far from this company. Issues started two years ago when we got maintenance on our…read moreexisting fireplace. We were told they didn't make the parts to fix the existing unit and we were given a quote to get a new unit put in. We were told this unit would be enough to heat our home. We should have got a second opinion. What a huge mistake. We waited from August to November to get the unit finally installed with horrible follow ups and communication during the length of that time. When the unit was installed, it would never stop running! We still weren't feeling heat in most areas of our home, after numerous back and forth we had a new fan installed within weeks of having this installed. The pilot had issues that needed to be services a few weeks later. We are now two years in and nothing but problems. There are now ember rocks from Inside the unit coming out of the unit - concerning!! We had issues getting the pilot on again and called because we were told upon installation that we would have all warrenty and service covered for 5 years. But now all of a sudden we are told that there was no record of that and we have no warrenty in place after one year of the base manufacture warrenty. Lesson learned - get everything in writing. One year warrenty on a unit you spend 5 grand on and PJ's has no problem leaving a young family with small children high and dry. Just want to share in hopes someone else in the future makes an informed decision. We actually had two seperate gas fitters come to our home and tell us the unit that was installed is completely inappropriate for heating a home and is for leisure use which we specifically did not want. They knew immediately that the unit was installed by PJs without us telling them, which tells you that their reputation is built on selling customers a unit without the best interest of the customer.

After she signed it he left. She had actually signed a sales contract. Once we realized what she had done she called him to cancel and was told that there was a $2700 cancellation fee even though no work has been done or product received. Ontario law states that any contract can be cancelled within 10 days with no penalty. Their parent company was sued last year for $17 million and they are back to the same slimy stuff again. Thankfully I recorded the entire thing on my phone so with any luck we can launch another class action suit against them. Wish us luck!!!

Then I got a quote from F1, decided on a date and voila, nice new sink that makes the bathroom look a lot nicer and my rusty old sink is on its way to the dump. 2 thumbs up guys

Given his stellar 5-star reviews we felt comfortable hiring F1. His quote was reasonable and though he wasn't available to come immediately, only a few days later. We originally agreed for him to visit on Friday but somehow he or his bro made a mistake and visited on Thursday, when no one was home at that time he came. He did come back on Friday at our scheduled time and fix the issue with the electric power snake. I wasn't present when he did it but someone else was in my place. He also didn't send a follow up text to tell me it's fixed, diagnoses, photos or how to prevent it. But at the same time, he's also patient and didn't ask me to pay until I prompted him several hours later asking about the status of the job. I suppose he's a busy man! Communication could be better, just keep in mind you may have to prompt him again to get your receipt later. What's important is that it's fixed and working properly.
