Given his stellar 5-star reviews we felt comfortable hiring F1. His quote was reasonable and though he wasn't available to come immediately, only a few days later. We originally agreed for him to visit on Friday but somehow he or his bro made a mistake and visited on Thursday, when no one was home at that time he came. He did come back on Friday at our scheduled time and fix the issue with the electric power snake. I wasn't present when he did it but someone else was in my place. He also didn't send a follow up text to tell me it's fixed, diagnoses, photos or how to prevent it. But at the same time, he's also patient and didn't ask me to pay until I prompted him several hours later asking about the status of the job. I suppose he's a busy man! Communication could be better, just keep in mind you may have to prompt him again to get your receipt later. What's important is that it's fixed and working properly.

He also advised that the kitchen sink was incorrectly installed by the former condo owner. He did a great job replacing it and removing as much of the incorrect caulk/glue as he could. We had to get rid of the old toilet ourselves but I think that's built into the cost since I was quoted at least $40 more by other plumbers who offered that service. Don't fret, if you're not onsite, he's still super responsive and kept me in the loop the whole way. I was also thinking since he was there he might as well snake the kitchen sink and other bathroom too for maintenance (just in case) but he told me it isn't necessary and he even gave me a warranty for those other sinks for a year, going above and beyond. The price is very reasonable too, and he's super accommodating. Joseph was also very timely (if not early) for the scheduled appointment. He's opening up his office in North York, but he does service clients across the city and maybe even St Catherines? (he told me he had some meetings there and was coming from there to fix my slow draining sink). They sent someone out and told me I didn't need to stay home, as the plumber could handle the job independently. Big mistake. I came home to an utter disaster. My brand new floors had marks, the bathroom looked like a war zone, and to top it all off -- they used my son's school uniform from the laundry basket to wipe up gunk from the floor. They even used one of my face towels to clean the mess. As a caregiver and mother, I had to clean up their filthy work late at night and try to salvage my son's uniform for school the next morning. When I called to complain, the owner, Jason, had the nerve to tell me, "At least it was the shower and not the toilet," and "At least the uniform didn't have fecal matter." That's their standard of professionalism? They threw me a $200 credit as if that would fix the sheer disrespect and unprofessional behavior. No integrity. No accountability. No care for customers.
