It's absolutely tiny inside! You'd never imagine it's a Premier League stadium. It is pretty modern and enjoyable on the inside though. The rich owners have jazzed it up and made it like a posh little box. The crowd is absolutely intense and right on top of the field and I always feel like part of the action when I'm in here. Definitely one of the better stadiums, but the prices and the small size are the reason it's a 4. I can't give this stadium less than a 4 because it's so loud and intense and the crowd are right on top of the players, but there's no way such a tiny stadium can get a 5 for a club that should really have a bigger and grander stadium. It looks like they won't be in the Prem much longer anyway (they never usually are), but if the club won't be missed (too many London clubs, esp West London), then the stadium will and its atmosphere too. It's in White City, a great part of London that is maybe a little racially monotonous. It's just near Shepherd's Bush. I think maybe he should shave it off. In the spring of 2002, when I was doing a semester abroad in London, I did a work study (internship) at QPR. At the time, they were in the Second Division (third tier). I had hear of QPR but didn't know much about the club. But my time there made me a fan and I'm proud to be a supporter of the R's. Now that they're back in the top flight, I had a perfect excuse to head back over the pond for a visit and to take in a Premiership match. Loftus Road Stadium is definitely a throw-back to the more modest days of the sport. Compared to Arsenal's new Emirates Stadium (review here: http://www.yelp.com/biz/the-emirates-stadium-london#hrid:nvZxRYSY_mKiQndnHx2iQw), Loftus Road is like a backyard shed. It's old, not at all modern, and for a Premier League ground, quite small. But it also has immense character, is very intimate, and incredibly approachable. One of the great things about the smaller clubs is how accessible the players are as well. If you get to Loftus Road early you can catch many of the players walking from the player parking lot into the stadium, and most of them are happy to stop to sign an autograph or snap a quick photo with you. Try doing that at Manchester United or Chelsea! QPR is a fantastic little club with an incredible history. Hopefully they'll be in the top flight for years to come. Which means I better start saving up now for what I hope can be an annual pilgrimage.

It isn't really a park, but it is an open…read morespace which is split into two, characterised by its very steep slope which divides the very flat cricket pitch at the bottom and two football pitches, tennis courts and play area above. I grew up less than five minutes from here, and during the early part of the nineties, the entire ground was in disrepair (from my memory of the play area and courts mostly). In the mid to late nineties, they laid a new surface in the play area and put in new things for the kids. It was a good start; they have survived until today so definitely don't look new now. The two tennis courts look brand-new, with immaculate surfaces and the paint hasn't faded at all. The fencing is surprisingly first-rate also as I usually find chain-link fencing when playing at new courts. Next-door to these is a basketball / five-a-side football court which is to a similar standard to the tennis courts. The cricket pitch is used most Saturdays in the summer and many locals come to watch on a regular basis. I came here on a Sunday afternoon to play tennis and these courts, and the play area were packed. And back to the early 90s, they never were. Quite a turnaround I feel for a run down open space. Family-friendly, but not much seating around so by no-means perfect. I've given it four stars.

Then the ticket station we were at had their ticket machine crash, so we took our unique IDs to the other side of the stadium to one that was working at a customer service desk. Then, once issued tickets, we had to go back to the other side to enter the stadium because you apparently can't walk the entire concourse around. As a result, we were 20 minutes late. Fans were fun and not overly rowdy and there are family sections available. Restrooms were clean if not pedestrian.

I most recently saw them just a few months ago in late 2014, and probably will again in 2016. They have been around since the late 1800s, and they play in bright orange, at "The Hive." How can you seriously not love this team? What more do I need to say? The Hive has a capacity of 5,100 and is in North London. I hope they get back in the football league someday, they're currently in the conference premier. Nice stadium too. They score a 5 for keeping it real all these years, I'm trying to create a buzz about the bees, what can I say.

Providing excellent facilities to the local community, this leisure centre can boast an excellent running track, five-a-side football and hockey courts, tennis, badminton, a 25m swimming pool, first-class gym, spa facilities and various fitness training programme. I started going here twice-weekly some years ago as part of a misguided attempt to bring myself back to a level approaching fitness. Predominantly I used the gym and swimming pool facilities but my membership also gave me access to the spa. You're unlikely to find better value for money anywhere else in London. Even without a membership it's fairly inexpensive - a swim costs around £2.50. They also organise weekly or bi-weekly swimming sessions for women only or baby and mother groups. If you live around this area this is a brilliant place to come and relax or keep up with a bit of fitness.

The stadium was opened in 1922 and has a capacity of 22,200, pretty small for a Premier League ground but a decent ground for a club the size of Watford. Away fans are situated in the Vicarage Road Stand, this is usually split in half, half was given to the Watford fans, half to the away fans. Other stands are named after Sir Elton John (Yes that Elton John, he used to be the club's Chairman!) and the clubs most successful manager, Graham Taylor. The stadium looks good, I find the red and yellow seats are unique. I had a fantastic view from the stadium, and they seemed to provide some entertainment and music before the game. The hospitality from the stewards was great, they tried their best to share a laugh and a joke, and help out all supporters. I find the idea of the Vicarage Roadies pretty cool too, these are fans who volunteer at the game to make the experience better for everyone, it makes the stadium feel more like a community aspect, having a friendly face locals can recognise. Due to the size of the stadium, the away allocation was just under a 1/3 lower than usual, and they did charge the maximum price (£30) for a ticket, which was probably the most I paid all season, but still, the price is reasonable for 90 minutes of Premier League football. 4* - A nice stadium.
