Owner is extremely knowledgeable and helpful. He cultivates his own corals which are all beautiful and healthy.

Very rarely open. Owner Robert is a bit of a jerk. I bought a few things here but honestly not worth the hassle.

There's been major changes recently! Tanks are stunning (clean, sparkly, lively) with new and interesting fish. Their live plant stock has grown and improved as well with some pretty healthy choices. The guys who work here are friendly and knowledgeable. The owner, Chris, is usually there keeping things running smoothly and I learned in our lengthy conversation that the reason for the shop declining back then was due to a family member passing and hardship stemming from that. I am SO impressed at how he pulled through and was dedicated to bringing his business back to life. So the lesson is YOU NEVER KNOW WHAT SOMEONE IS GOING THROUGH. I was quick to judge but now I know that also, running an aquarium shop has so many components/vendors you're dealing with and it's not always going to be perfect. So have some grace. These guys care about the livestock and customers. They'll do their best to be fair and remedy a situation. I've bought some great fish and they have been THRIVING. They even let me adopt a little one eyed betta that no one wanted but now she's living her best life. If I had one gripe it would be not to keep male bettas in tiny little cups, that's just cruel... But as long as they're changing water out everyday it's not enough to pull a star.

After that the tang removed but then killed my beautiful and favorite nearly naked clownfish. It also bit the side of my storm clown with black out lines. After that it killed all of my corals and when I got home from vacation my dad told me what happened. I would not recommend coming here to buy fish or any materials as it puts your entire aquarium at risk.

I strongly recommend this place for all your reef keeping needs. (Freshwater too!) If interested heres a little story... If not, just take my word for it and shop here. - This week I decided to relocated my reef tank for a better view in the house... biggest mistake ever! Everything that could've gone wrong, went wrong. I underestimated the weight of the tank thinking I could just get by with 90% of the water drained and removal of the sump and equipment, I was definitely wrong! I ended up pulling out everything, but the sand. Every coral, every invert, every fish... yes including 4 wrasses and a goby that all like to hide in the sand bed, I mean EVERYTHING! I then accidentally broke my rock structure into several pieces in the process of lifting them out of the tank and putting them into bins. Trying not to lose too much temp, I moved as fast as I could and used as many spare heaters as possible. It was a total disaster! After glueing back all the rock work that broke into pieces and moving everything back into the tank, I was unsure of how my fishes and corals would react to this sudden change in temp, biology and chemistry. 4 hours later, I finally got the tank running again (in it's new location,) I then noticed a huge bacterial bloom, Im guessing from the stirring of the sand bed. I then decided to do a water change to see if it would help. To add to my streak of badluck, I had no saltwater prepped. I quickly rushed to Age of Aquariums to get saltwater. That's where I was greeted by Isaac. He knew something was wrong. All I said was "I decided to move my tank" he already knew where I was going. I told him my problems and concerns and hesitancy to move my livestock back into the tank. He recommended several products to me, answered a bunch of questions I had and gave me solid advice. He also allowed me to borrow several containers for saltwater as long as i promised to bring them back. I am truly grateful. 2 days later, my tank is bouncing back. I had 0 losses. Fishes are happy and corals are all starting to open up again. Im leaving this review to share my experience with those new to the hobby, getting into the hobby and those who have been in the hobby for a long time. You can always get cheaper products elsewhere, especially online... but, you will never get the support of a local fish store. Support you LFS, like they support us.

Age of Aquariums has both freshwater and saltwater (marine) plants, fish, corals, driftwood, and cleaning equipment. The space is large, clean, and you can tell that they take great care of their fish because they look active and not sickly. I came on an afternoon over the weekend and was excited to see so many people asking about how to care for aquatic plants, when to introduce tank mates, etc. When you enter the shop, to your left are tanks, decorative wood, and dry goods like supplements. Loosely speaking, it seems like freshwater specimens (including some hefty bettas, thank you for keeping them in nice big mason jars instead of plastic) are on the left side, while marine/saltwater are center and right. The plants you see when you enter are far healthier than what you'd find at big box stores - I myself picked up some red root floaters and an Anubias variety called white rose. I've been to many a shop growing up that were dim, damp, and generally not as well kept as Age of Aquariums. They really take their time to explain how to design a tank, care for plants, and what to look for in healthy fish. Really fun spot I would like to bring my dad to so he can upgrade his 10 gallon tank!

My last visit was quite different from my first experience at this store…read more I stopped by looking for a donut pillow and hot spot spray for my pup. Luckily, they had a probiotic spray but the donut pillow selection was limited. Before purchasing the donut pillow, I asked if other sizes were available since I only saw medium. I was told what was on the shelf was all they had. I also asked about the return policy and received conflicting information--one employee said 30 days, while another said 24 hours. I purchased the pillow, canned food, hot spot spray and dog treats for around $92 and some change. I paid the exact amount in cash. After returning to my car, I realized the pillow didn't fit my dog, and he wasn't interested in one of the treats. Since only a few minutes had passed, I went back to return those two items. I requested a refund with a different staff member and they seemed hesitant to process the refund, explaining that their register had limited cash. Eventually, the refund was completed. The interaction felt unnecessarily difficult? The refund amount was also slightly short because not enough pennies were available. I appreciate that the refund was processed but felt disappointed in the overall return experience.

First incident I had an issue with said groomer, she chipped my dogs nail really deep to the point she kept bleeding. Now I understand accidents happen, but she didn't even mention anything to my husband when he picked up his mom's dog, nor did she offer anything to help with the bleeding beforehand. I came in and was upset because my MIL's dog was bleeding everywhere. She started speaking to me in Spanish, and I said sorry I don't speak Spanish (I'm Asian that knows some Spanish but can't get by easily) maybe I could've worded it differently but I didn't collect myself before blurting that out. She grabbed a worker, cool guy with the long wavy locks, and he was very professional and apologized in which I accepted. Incident 2, I had made an appointment for Sunday, 3/29/26. I came in around 9:40, waited behind a lady who was a WALK-IN and was told that she (same groomer with the itty-bitty nose septum piercing) couldn't take anymore dogs because she has a full day. Then I said I have an appointment though, and she looked at me like sorry can't do it then heads over to get the manager. Manger explained to me she couldn't take my mother in laws dog because she's matted, it'll take too long so it may stress the dog and leads to biting/irritable dog. Okay, so how are they going to take walk ins and not prioritize appointments knowing that dogs may come in matted? They should take in to account unforeseen circumstances like this...she (groomer) is the professional and should understand how business works and by experience and knowledge that clients have dogs that need extra time? Manager didn't reprimand the worker. She kept apologizing for not being able to take my MIL's dog and that she can make an appt for Thursday with Doro the other groomer. I wanted to give this place another chance but this same girl just gave it another bad experience. It's funny because the customer before me turned around and gave me an ugly face like she didn't like how the groomer was responding to her when she requested her dog's paws to be shaven down. The lady was asking nicely and didn't even give you an attitude. With that last statement, that should be enough that it isn't just me who has an issue with this girl. If you don't like your job Then find a new one. If you have a packed day, don't take any more walk ins. Simple. I feel bad for people who have her as a groomer. I gave 3 stars because they still have legit, knowledgeable workers
