They care for the animals and will answer any question respectfully and even provide essential tips to keep your new let healthy and happy. Stock is from locally bred breeders and imports. Nice seeing a shop giving back to the community that supports them. Salt water selection limited but excellent quality. Vibrant colors and very active. Stopped by after calling them and asking if they had hillstream loaches on stock. When I drove to their store I was surprised by their setup and their cleanliness. All of their tanks were clean and their fish looked healthy. I ended up getting 3 hillstream loaches at a very reasonable price. I went here with my girlfriend because she wanted a pet fish. As soon as we walked in the guy working there was helpful and funny! We ended up buying a goldfish & the guy gave us another one for free! We also got a fish tank, rocks, food and some plastic plants all for a decent price! This place is pretty far from me, but I like the fish selections they have. And yes "rare" fish gets pretty expensive, and it shows on the prices. You may find rare fish here on occasion but be prepared to spend some cash. I wish the old fish selections are back. I used to be able to buy snakeheads but it's been illegal for a while and that's why I stopped keeping fish. But this place is pretty cool. read more

Great little tropical fish store really far from me my go to when Lfs runs out of live food

I visited the location on a Sunday. Selection is good, prices are reasonable. I took my three kids, son 13, son 11, daughter 9. When we got home my kids shared that a staff member poked my 11 old son in the stomach. What the reason was, is unclear to me. Nevertheless there shouldn't be any physical contact. I will be going back to the store and questioning the staff. Please keep a close eye on your kids when visiting this location! read more

He also explained how they act when they're about to die (stops eating, holds fin to body, and gets cloudy eyed)... +He has several different types of fish sizes (range of gold fish sizes too) + 12 small gold fish for $1 + 8 medium gold fish for $1 +Beta fish range from $1.99 - $7.99 (from what I recollect) +I saw little frogs and heard birds +fish food and supplies available --OVERALL-- great time picking out my fish. I would go back and support this business. They're friendly, knowledgeable, and affordable. He really helped me pick out the fish, and had much advice on how to care for them after. I focused mainly on their decently sized freshwater area and was able to find the nerite snails and what I believe to be amano shrimps for a decent price! Well my dad use to bring me here every weekend when I was a kid. My kid is 38 yrs. old and I bring him here, this place is a better topical fish and fresh water fish shop. I can't believe this place has been here over 50 yrs., I think of my dad when I come here. We had an old Chevy pick up truck dad would come in the alley that using gone.....there was a peach tree in the alley dad would make us stand in the truck to pick the peaches hanging over the fence....then he hit the gas and we would fall. It's a small place, but a very good selection of fish. they keep their tanks very clean. I love supporting small businesses anyway and the staff is really nice. Super informative. I also come here to get superworms/mealworms for my fish. I called them recently and their COVID closing times are 5:30 PM for anyone wondering. Very nice small business with plenty of freshwater fish. I unfortunately had to surrender a fish here because a big retail pet store suggested a terrible fish for my 5 gallon tank. They were really understanding. Now I have one betta I picked up from Tiki that is very happy in my tank. They have a large variety of bettas - much better than the big chain pet stores. The gentlemen that work/own this little aquatic store are nice and helpful. They will help you pick Fish that will get along in your community tank. I found my new fish store! After being highly disappointed by conditions at a Lakewood fish store, I decided to give Tiki's a try. What a world of difference! Large variety of fish and plants (I keep a planted freshwater aquarium), store is clean and the staff are super nice and knowledgeable. All the fish looked healthy and well cared for. I was able to get the otocinclus I was looking for, and even a hill stream loach (bonus)! Good pricing as well. This will be my go-to fish store from now on. read more

Tiki is a good place to grab a quick item or two. Some feeder fish, bulk food, and maybe something for your tank. The prices are fair but I'm just not really into this place. When I saw all the great reviews, I was actually shocked it got some love. The place isn't very clean and its so muggy in there. They need to clean the crap out of this place badly! The fish and other creatures are cool but I can't help but feel sorry for them. Their living conditions seem to be iffy at best especially for the non-water babies. Forget about the rats and such out back, they look like no one even bothers them for weeks and most likely eat their newborns on an ongoing basis.
