I particularly love Southerlands because it's conveniently located close to Stock and Grain Food Hall in High Point. It's literally a 2 min drive. Even though I don't always smoke a cigar, I appreciate that when you walk inside, you don't instantly smell it so strongly. I've been to other cigar lounges and the cigar smoke can be a lot. Y'all know I absolutely love a good cocktail. The bartenders are wonderful and the drink selections are plenty. Even if you don't see something on the menu you would like, they can make you anything. I appreciate how accommodating they are as well. Whether I come during the week (they started $5 drink specials on Wednesdays) I can pull up and have a drink and bring my laptop or come on a Friday for Ladies Night and have a DJ spin and I'm on the dance floor. Whatever you are feeling, they have it. You also never know who you're going to meet. I think it's also a great place for networking. They do have options if you'd like to do a private event or celebrate something special. There is plenty of space and a very large parking lot. This place is in a strip mall and we walked into a clean well organized lounge. TVs on the walls, good music, low key decor with a few black lights, and overall good vibes. We opted for a basic hookah with Starbuzz Mighty Freeze + Blue Mist mixed together. Very smooth and flavorful. It's a lemon, mint and blueberry twist. They offer premium shisha options and fruit infused bowls. Plenty of drink options including beer. Coco nana natural coconut charcoals as well. Staff is friendly and willing to answer any questions. They are attentive and refresh the coal properly. This is important because if there is too much heat it burns the bowl making it harsh. It's surely a great experience that you shouldn't miss in Greensboro.

I lived in Asia for a few years and really developed an addiction for these private room karaoke joints while I was there so when I got back to the US I was SO THRILLED to find a Korean style Karaoke club here in Greensboro. I actually had my bachelorette party here because we always have so much fun. If you are unfamiliar with the premise, you basically rent a room (size determined by how many people are in your group) and pay per hour. You can always add more time on later if you underestimate how much time you'll want. There is a keyboard that allows you to search for English karaoke songs on youtube OR you can use the pre-loaded videos/song book. Most of these are in Korean but they do have a few pages of English classics. (If you are looking for specific songs, it is best to use the youtube option). They sell drinks and snacks but the drink options aren't great- a few different beers and smirnoff wine coolers/juices- which is the big reason why I give this place 4 stars instead of 5 (you used to be able to bring your own drinks- those were the days!). It is located in the international mall on West Market st, so it's a bit of a struggle to find it and you have to go down a weird creepy hallway to find the bathrooms, but there is always ample parking and they are open pretty late so it's a great place to go after getting a few drinks elsewhere. If you've never been, it is definitely worth trying at least once. I will definitely be back, hopefully in the near future.
