We sat ourselves and the server behind the bar came around, greeted us and took our drink orders. My husband asked if he could order a Walleye filet and they accommodated; he got mashed potatoes and salad for his sides. I ordered The Mayor salad (truly enough food for two) The Walleye was cooked perfectly, and it was delicious. My husband asked for them to heat up the potatoes, unfortunately they were luke warm at best. My salad was a large salad topped with brisket, smoked turkey, bacon and a chicken wing. My husband and I split the chicken wing, it was crispy, but almost too crispy. In the fryer a bit too long. The brisket was a bit dry, but the smoked turkey was perfect. There were two hard boiled eggs, so if you are eating just protein and vegetables this is is your order. There were a lot of jalapenos on it, and lots of crisp greens. I would order it again, but most likely split it with someone. The service was great. While we were there it was getting crowded. This was the second restaurant that we went to where there was only one person taking orders. Fortunately, she had someone running the food out because she was also tending bar, along with the food runner. Although we were not neglected, it would have been better for them if there were more on staff. We'll definitely be back on our next visit.

The standout for me was the monster tots--crispy, golden tater tots piled high with pulled pork BBQ and plenty of melty cheese. Pure comfort food perfection. The ambiance was just as memorable: quirky, fun, and unique. I especially loved their chandelier made out of vodka bottles--such a creative touch that fit the vibe perfectly. The location was fabulous too--just steps away from the iconic Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox statues, which made the whole experience feel extra special. My only complaint was with the service. I ordered the Trio specifically because I wanted to try the ribs along with two other meats since it was my first visit. When the food came, the ribs had been swapped out for turkey without any explanation. When I asked, the server told me they had run out of ribs. While I get that happens, I would've preferred they let me know first so I could've chosen something else (I'm not much of a turkey fan). Still, the flavors, atmosphere, and prime location won me over, and I'd happily come back next time I'm in town.

They may do okay for a backyard barbecue, but not to impress "suits" at a corporate event. I expect a professional caterer to be professional and to take care of details like linens, etc. not the client. They definitely lack "professional" etiquette.
