Overall, under-seasoned and dry. The skin of the ribs was too tough to eat, having to discard parts because it was tougher than jerky. It needed bbq sauce. The nacho fry situation needed more flavor. The Fozzy sauce was not packing a punch of flavor--kind of an aioli or mayo? Adding the bbq sauce on top was the way to go. The mac and cheese egg roll was good--I dipped in bbq to add more flavor. Service was really nice. The place wasn't busy, so service was fast

Service was amazing...best tunes playing in the background...and the most bestest yummiest fish sandwich I've ever eaten in my entire life - the Walleye BLT is the shizzy!!! The brisket burrito was good too...especially loved the sausage- unique & delicious.

The best barbecue in northern Minnesota! Fozzies is a staple every time we go to the lake, some of the best barbecue and service around. Interior is a family barbecue vibe. This time we got the big daddy for takeout (not pictured are the sides or cornbread that come with it as well) and what a great deal this is ($110). Their chicken wings were amazing with a flavorful dry rub that was out of this world. The extremely tender and delectable brisket was my second favorite. Everything on the menu is a hit. Note: they do sell out of items, especially on the weekends, so it's not a bad idea to get there a little early. Overall 9.59 / 10

The vibe is great, but I wasn't a fan of the food. The mac 'n cheese egg rolls were tasty, but too many carbs in one place for me. My chimichanga was the same, heavy starch with "nacho cheese" cheese (not real cheese). I left my first drink, Sex on Diamond Beach, but the Adult Milkshake tasted like cough syrup. I couldn't drink it. The meat was great. This is definitely not a place for vegetarians!

We were a large party of 11 hungry bicyclists after the Bemidji Loop the Lake Ride. 10 of us shared the Big Daddy Big Meal. 1 simply had a brisket sandwich. We ordered an extra side of ribs & garlic mashed potatoes (which we did not need since the Big Daddy was more than enough for all of us). Our male server was awesome-he guided us through the drink & food menu (yes-it was less expensive to order the big meal then separate orders). The bbq was on par excellence, the only thing that wasn't the best were the plain-outta-the-can beans (which was is fine but sad next to all the great food). No reservations-casual dining-but get here EARLY! They run out of freshly barbecued items-check the board by the bar for popular items that have been bought out.

As we parted ways she even gave us recos on shops to visit. We highly recommend Bar 209 for families of all ages.

Our server was working her tail off, with a large table near us, outdoor patio tables, and many tables inside. To that end, we waited a bit here and there but she was apologetic and clearly working hard so no worries. We started with dry rub, bone in wings which I accompanied with a Bemidji IPA. Both were fabulous. Next, we split a smash burger with fries. The meal had a lot of potential but the fries were warm, not hot, and the burger a little small (but it did have a double patty and tons of sauted onions). We finished the meal with the Big Cookie Sundae and big it was. Waaaay too much to eat with only 2 people. The cookie was delicious. Soft and gooey inside with a nice crisp around the outside edges of the cookie. We tried but couldn't finish it. Liked the brewery vibe in there with lots of seating and exposed brick. Nice stop.

Wanted to try a new place for gizzards, teals in Cass lake, MN has the best gizzards since renewing…read morethe batter they use, nice and crispy like Kentucky fried chicken, and a very decent amount for the price. We decided to try gizzards at another place just to compare as we sometimes do, by yelping we found that grace lake bar and grill served them as well, $6.95 for order which is a decent price so we got 3 orders to go along with my son wanting 2 orders of cheese sticks at $8.95 an order to go. When we arrived at a small whole in the wall beer joint, which we have had many a good food, drinks and conversations at these type of establishments. Three nice people were outside in front of the door smoking cigarettes so we waited in our car till they were done. What happened next is the problem, I understand covid has caused a major problem with most places this last couple of years with a lot of food going as take out, short staffs, higher prices and yes, when you do take out it is nice to leave a small tip for those who pack our food up so well and get it ready for us to pick it up, but, most cases we don't leave tips for carry out. My husband has the problem also leaving the receipts unfinished as I have warned several times this can eventually cause a problem like it has now, by not filling out his receipt and lining thru the tip spot and writing in the total this left it to the grace lake establishment to take it upon themselves and add the tip themselves. When my husband noticed that for 3 orders of gizzards ( 24) and 2 orders of cheese sticks (10) our bank account showed a $51.27 charge to our account. When we called grace lake they pulled up the receipt and said that there was nothing he could do because his waitress that checked us out (Aly) said she didn't' do it and he trusted his staff. So who added the extra $8 to our bill??? As far as the food, gizzards not worth the price, like a broasted batter and the cheese sticks well my son said that he guessed he paid for the two big frozen boxes of cheese sticks they had in their freezer. So certainly will not go back for apps for sure, and I'm wondering about the people that go there for drinks what they get charged when they are too drunk to notice on top of a cash tip they might also be give. But, maybe they are smart to fill in the whole receipt instead of being too trusting.

If you fired the owners I would probably give this place 4-5 stars. The regular bartenders are…read moregreat given their working conditions. Rarely is there more than one employee working at a time. They are expected to run the bar and the tables and do all the cooking (of a full menu). For the most part they keep up, are apologetic if they can't, and obviously don't like to make people wait. The last two times we were in there the owner was behind the bar. He is incapable of doing what he asks of his staff. He can't handle the bar and the tables and the cooking. I waited 10 minutes for him to come out of the kitchen so I could pay our bill. When he finally came out and I asked to pay our bill he told me to wait, and turned to talk to his daughter (whose toddler had been behind the bar early playing with the bottles of alcohol). When I told him I had already been waiting he got rude. When my husband said he needed help he got irritated and then he said he had a pile of resumes in the back. I commented that that was not the customers problem. The last time we were in there we had the same problem. I had to go to his wife (the other owner) to pay our bill because he wasn't able to handle the job. We've been coming here for about a year and have repeatedly heard complaints about the lack of staff. I've seen employees, who are off the clock, get up and help the working bartender when they get overwhelmed. We were even there recently and an ex-employee got up and helped out. It's pretty sad when the employees are far more interested in keeping the business running than the owners. If we ever go back (doubtful), we'll only go in if the owners aren't there!
