We had not planned to have any additional work done, but, upon inspection, their estimator (Ryan) recognized that our attic was improperly ventilated. We ended up having KGC add more ventilation when they replaced the roof. For the five years that we have lived in our home, we have had to endure uncomfortably high humidity levels in our bedroom. A few years back, we purchased a dehumidifier for the room and on bad days it would pull close to a gallon of moisture out of the air. I did not think there was a solution until Ryan explained that our attic had insufficient ventilation. I'm so thankful for his expertise. There has been a DRASTIC difference since getting the roof done. We can sleep comfortably and no longer have to use a dehumidifier. Not only did the added vents improve the health of our attic, it improved our quality of sleep. The crew was professional, they sent daily progress photos to show what they had accomplished, and Keith personally came out to check on the progress and quality of work. Their "design" services consisted of using the Pinterest photos that we provided and some basic CAD drawings. They didn't show up to an initial meeting, (admitted putting it on their calendar incorrectly, this should have been a red flag), didn't read or respond to multiple emails with important information, didn't incorporate several specific written requests into project plans, and continuously wasted time, but they certainly charged for every minute they may have been even thinking about our project. Of course what we paid would have been a small portion of our overall project budget, but to have received virtually no timelines or final plans, or even basic communication, and to have wasted months of time that could have been used actually planning and completing the project, we decided to cut our losses. Before posting a review, we reached out to the owner, Jeff, (I am always very hesitant to post something that could negatively impact someone's livelihood), but from his defensive response it seems like this is just how they do business, and I feel our experience should be available to anyone considering using their services. My husband called to confirm a few days beforehand, as we let him know we would need to rent a porta potty for the project, and he reassured us he would be there and we could move forward. We have not heard from him since. He neither showed up on the date HE gave us for the install, contacted us, nor responded to our calls/texts. We are now out the money for the porta potty rental and have no contractor to complete the work we were on a time crunch for. I would not work with this contractor again and caution anyone else against hiring him. His behavior has been unreliable and unprofessional during the past month we have been in contact, and I would hate to see anyone else waste their time or money trusting his business. I would give zero stars if I could.
