We had to wait a bit to get our tasting as it was very busy. The tasting attendant was very cognizant of this and kept checking on us. She was a lot of fun and gave the tasting extra pizzazz! She clearly knew all of the wines very well and gave us suggestions on how to use each one. There is a shop attached that sells other good items made by the company. We tasted a few (the raspberry celery seed dressing is phenomenal) and ended up buying 10 items between our wines and other things. It was a lot of fun. Highly recommend making this a stop on your wine travels. The Chardonnay and Dry Rose were especially delicious. This is a great family owned small business that is deeply proud of what it produces. Like others have mentioned, this place isn't for groups, and there's no seating indoors. It's not a winery in a middle of a vineyard, it was just a small house with a gift shop on a street, so don't come here for the ambiance or standard wine tasting experience. That said, I wanted to do a wine tasting after skiing at nearby Bristol Mountain, and this place was open the day before Christmas. My husband and I were the only customers, so we had a nice experience. At some wineries, there's a set menu, but here there's an extensive menu of 28 wines! They are categorized as: Dry, Semi-Dry, Sweet, and Dessert. You can pick ANY 6 wines for $5 or 7 wines + tasting glass for $8. I say go for the latter! My husband chose the $5 option and his wines were served in a plastic cup. We were also served oyster crackers for palate cleansing. It was a little overwhelming choosing from such a large menu, but I appreciated the descriptions, which helped me decide. I'm partial towards sweet wine, so I chose many sweet wines for my tastings. Many were really delicious, and we came away buying two bottles of wine (and a small grape pie and apple butter from the gift shop). Come here for one of your wine tasting stops, and don't expect to stay here for long. Good for just two or three people max. read more

Great night out! John the wine maker was very knowledgeable and super hilarious with funny dad like jokes. His humor and knowledge alone make it worth a trip there. The winery itself has won so many reviews and history of accolades date back to the 80s. The wine is delicious but more so strong - you won't be disappointed. The winery also has a brewery with some awesome beers and brats. The hot sauces are all delicious and also recommend not missing out on the mulled wine. read more

What a great surprise!!!!!! We happened upon this treasure on way in to Naples from Honeoye on a very rainy day here (7/3/23). The wine selection was immense and very well priced. We did our wine tasting under the tents outside, then opted to sample some foods from the attached restaurant (brats sampler gets two thumbs up). Well, we have been coming here for years but not since CV-19 but we paid them a visit just the other day and it went like this...First off, the place has changed from its original cozy home like feel to one of more like a business...So we were surprised to see how it has changed but that's business I guess...Next, we looked around and found that even the sample counter has now become a sterile environment with their jams now offered in tiny plastic cups holding about a 1/4 teaspoon of jam to taste if that...Next the whole vibe of the staff was sort of cold and less than welcoming, which again is NOT like years prior...We asked if they still gave samples of their various wines to try before buying to which a less than friendly woman responded that we had to select a wine flight to try any wine...Now, my wife and I only wanted to try the red wines and not any of the white wines, to which the woman barked out that that she will let us try what we want but "normally" if they were busy, she wouldn't do it...Folks there was nobody there at that moment and we were made to feel like we put her through a real hard time...Well, we tried three different wines in small cups with about one-shot glass of wine each or a tad more, but not much at all...I mentioned that I thought one of the wines would go great with steak or pot roast, to which she barked that that one is not for red meat, wow I guess my taste buds don't count...Anyway, we purchased a bottle which was $3 dollars more than what we found later to be a $14 dollar bottle at our local store...This wine flight cost us $8 dollars and $17 dollars for the wine bottle for a grand total of $27 dollars with tax...We left a two-dollar tip in the jar that was on the counter and walked out...My wife who normally is the levelheaded, easy-going person told me she does not want to come back ever...This is not the way we wanted to end our trip to Naples and Arbor Hill. read more

I enjoyed my visit to Arbor Hill, but it's definitely more of a gift shop vibe than a winery. I did not do a tasting because they were packed, but those who were tasting seemed to be enjoying themselves. There was a bridal party there while I was there too, and I imagine that's a big draw for Arbor Hill. The venue is situated on beautiful property with a nice stable-type building out back that I'll bet is often used for photographs. The gift shop offers wine, wine glasses, gourmet mixes, chocolate, towels, and more. They also had some beer-themed gifts. While I was there I interacted with two employees who were both very kind and helpful. As busy as they were, I wouldn't have been shocked to receive terse responses, but in both cases I got the help I needed. I'd like to go back again when I have more time and maybe on a weekday when they're likely to be less crowded. Oh, a note about parking. They have a fairly large lot, but on crowded days it may be more difficult to manage because it's shaped a bit oddly. It can get kind of narrow the further in you go, depending on the sizes of vehicles in your way. read more

Arbor Hill is a small wine tasting facility but very personable. Our server, Connie, was the best, personable, knowledgeable and helpful. The wines were very tasty and a good variety, from dry to sweet. There is also a gift shop with jams, dips, cheeses and other things to buy, from the area, made especially for Arbor Hill to compliment the wines. Large groups would need to call ahead and even small should call to see when you can be accommodated. Worth the trip! read more

An adorable, charming winery on the Canandaigua wine trail. This is not a large winery where you can expect to sit outside or spend hours with a large group. Rather, it was perfect for the 3 of us to enjoy in a smaller, more quiet and personal setting. Of all the wineries we tried, this one had the best wine. I purchased 3 bottles. I visited Arbor Hill yesterday with a few of my girlfriends. We were part of a wine tour through Crush Wine Tours and this was our first stop. We were seated in the outside area which was really cute and casual. We tasted about seven wines, and I was pleasantly surprised with how great they all were. The owner of Arbor Hill, John Brahm, conducted our tasting himself! He was super friendly and has so many interesting stories and facts about each wine we tasted. He definitely made the experience a lot better and engaging. A couple stand outs: - Moscato (trust me, you haven't tried moscato like this before) - Vergennes (this is the ONLY Vergennes you can get in the world) - Diana (I usually am NOT a fan of rosé but this was UHMAZING) Arbor Hill also has a restaurant, Brew and Brats, that we didn't get a chance to try. The lovely lady doing the wine tastings (and running the register and helping customers- she was amazing at multitasking!) was so attentive and helped us understand the wines we were trying and shared a little bit of the history of the wine (like the blueberry wine- made with love! And delicious!). She also told us about the wine passport which is $15 and good for a year (totally worth it if you're going to 3+ wineries!!). After coming to Arbor Hill for a Yelp event, I have been back twice because my best friend lives in the area. Now, I feel like I have to stop if I am in the neighborhood. Each time I walk in, I am always greeted by someone who is genuinely happy to help their customers. The last time, she even offered me a glass of water since she asked where I was going afterwards and said it was a drive. The products I really enjoy are their mustards, sauces, Yancey's cheese (I know they carry this in other stores, but I feel like they have some varieties I can't get at Wegmans), and of course the wine. The Noiret is my favorite. I also like the traminette for friends who are still working their way up to a dryer wine, so it works to meet people in the middle. Stopped at the Arbor Hill Winery on a rainy vacation day. The wine tasting was fun and the hostess was very informative. You can choose your flight to be just Reds and Roses or just Fruity Wines or an assortment. They offer several food choices with wine tasting. We got the pickled eggs, cheese tray, pretzel bites and bread with dipping sauce. Nice generous portions. They also offer a Juice tasting (non alcohol) option which is great. The winery is a very interesting place has a lot of chatskis and some delicious wines and they allow tastings also. The only thing that bothered me was the fact that they don't take American Express cards which seems kind of antiquated in this day and age? I use American Express for everything and I'm sure there are several travelers that come through that area that would like to use it also. I'm finding more places are accepting it, but I still can't figure out why some are not doing it to begin with. Kind of frustrating cuz a lot of people don't carry cash. I run a very small business and I don't have any problem accepting American Express cards I can't imagine that their fees are that prohibiting. Loved our visit to Arbor Hill today! Completely friendly, professional, tasty and COVID safe. We received a wine tasting from Leandra, who was awesome! She even helped entertain our 2 year old during her own mini grape juice tasting (such a great touch for kids and designated drivers). My friends and I attended this winery as part of an organized wine tour. Our table was approached by unruly patrons sans masks and staff/security allowed them to continue harassing us, not following COVID precautions. Arbor Hill Winery is more of a shop vs. a standard winery experience, but we stopped by for a tasting since it was included in our Canandaigua wine trail pass. I especially enjoyed their Vergennes wine- a nice fruity white without being overly sweet. The wines are served in small plastic cups, so it wasn't the fanciest or most exhilarating winery experience, but our server was an older woman who was very accommodating, patient and took the time to answer our questions despite it being closer to their closing time. read more

We recently spent a weekend at Bristol, and just *had* to get a grape pie tartlet while in Naples, dontchaknow. As we fought over crumbs, I wondered if there were a way to enjoy a grape pie once we returned home to Rochester -- without the drive to Naples. A stop at Arbor Hill Grapery & Winery provided just the answer! There, peeping at me from the shelf, was a massive jar of grape pie filling for sale. Hurray! They had a jar opened with little crackers, for sampling -- divine! The little shop accompanying the winery is just great -- filled with lots of foods you can take with you to remind you of your weekend in wine country, to continue to enjoy with your Finger Lakes Wines. The service is fantastic! And, though we didn't try it, Beers & Brats just outside looked to be fun, to sit and admire the scenery while enjoying what smelled like delicious foods.
