Our next winery stop was Tabora, nestled along Seneca Lake. We were fortunate to have Keith as our server, and he may have been one of the most remarkable people I've met in quite some time. His deep knowledge and passion shone through as he shared the rich history of the winery. The owners originally purchased land in Bucks County for farming but later moved to the Finger Lakes region, where they expanded into winemaking, a bakery, and a deli--a true craft-driven endeavor. Tabora was offering a special deal: buy one tasting flight, get the second free. Normally, I gravitate toward the drier the better, but the Winemaker's Jam caught my eye. My flight included: 1. 2021 Pinot Noir 2. 2021 Cabernet Franc 3. N.V. Heritage Noir 4. 2021 Maréchal Foch I started with the Pinot Noir, a light-bodied wine with aromas of cherry blossoms, strawberries, and dried fruit--absolutely sensational. Keith explained that all of Tabora's wines age in used French oak barrels but never for more than 18 months. Instead of prolonged oak aging, they transition the wine to stainless steel, preserving freshness while imparting just a touch of oak influence. Next up was the Cabernet Franc, which had soft tannins, a light body, and notes of raspberry and green bell pepper, with a slight oak finish--and wow, it was good. Then came my hands-down favorite: the Heritage Noir, a blend of different wines that was dry yet bursting with layered fruit flavors. It was truly an incredible experience on the palate. Finally, I sampled the Maréchal Foch, a sensational, jammy wine with hints of blackberry and pomegranate and a beautifully smooth finish. But Keith wasn't done yet--he had me try a few more, including an unoaked Cabernet Franc, which became another favorite. Aged 100% in stainless steel, it was bright with red fruit, hints of cherry, vanilla, and a touch of chocolate on the finish. Beyond the wines, Keith himself was a standout. As we sipped, he shared his life journey--from New York to Hawaii, a path shaped by his mother and sister. His stories were captivating, and if he ever writes a book, I'd be the first in line to read it. Cheers to Keith and Tabora for an unforgettable experience! #fingerlakes

Great Bakery...I spent $50 on items to take home and share with family and friends. Everything... taste amazing! Owner designed it well! I truly enjoy strawberry rhubarb baked goods! By the way...bakery building is separate from the wine tasting building. They are like 10-15 feet across from each other! Of course, I shall return!

Wonderful time spent here at this vinyard. It was pouring rain but we did enjoy it still. There was not much to do but we were a group and we had fun. Forgot to add that Jean was a WONDERFUL HOSTESS to our group. Super attentive and a great photograper for our family pic. There is abakery attached to this vinyard. The food and desserts tasted completely FRESH and delish!!!

Visiting today for the Seneca Lake wine and chocolate tour. Stopped at the deli and bakery, and picked up some very fresh marble rye and yo Linzer cookies! We will definitely be back for lunch sometime based on the menu.

We stopped in for a sandwich and a glass of wine. I didn't care for the ride but the white wine we had was good. Lots of sandwich choices. We chose a sandwich with turkey and Brie. Unfortunately, we felt it was bland tasting. My husband had a blueberry roll which was delicious. I tried the Chrusciki and did not care for it at all. A nice stop.

Stopped here for lunch after visiting two wineries. We didn't have wine but I had cabbage soup, my wife had an orzo pilaf salad from the deli, and we split the fall turkey sandwich. Staff was very friendly and we didn't wait long at all. It was enough to feel satisfied without feeling grossly full. The food and vibe is like a better version of Panera. Stop here if you're hungry for lunch!

Such a great place to enjoy lunch, baked goods, and wine. We had lunch and a wine tasting here and loved everything we tried. The Cuban and the soprano sandwiches were absolutely delicious. The head wine maker took the time to explain and teach us about the history of the wines and the wine making process and was very friendly and attentive. The semi dry Riesling was one of my favorite wines I have ever tried. We plan to come back soon!

Was out for a ride on a beautiful day and this place was suggested to us for lunch. The outside is impressive but the inside is so cute! You go up to the counter and order your food. They have a great assortment of items to choose from. I tried several things: Mac and cheese, tortellini salad and Italian wedding soup. All were delicious but I liked the soup the best!!! I'm Italian and it was like my grandmother's soup. I didn't finish my food because I had to try a desert and coffee. So many choices for desert but I picked the mini pecan pie. The crust was perfect and the filling gooey. I have to say everything looked delicious in the deserts and it was hard to choose. All the employees were very pleasant. I will stop again when in the area.

Amazing stop today at Tabora Farm & Winery after visiting Watkins Glen State Park, New York. The Bakery & Deli was amazing! So much to choose from and everything was amazing. Friendly service, great atmosphere, nice outdoor seating, and tons of amazing baked goods. I had the quiche and my sweetie had the BBQ meatloaf with a side of pasta. We took several treats home from the bakery too!

The winery is slightly confusing because it is named Hickory Hollow as the Yelp page suggests, but they serve Nathan K wines in addition to Hickory Hollow wines. It can be confusing for those looking for one or the other! But with some searching, we ultimately found the location we were looking for. We stopped on a pretty overcast and rainy day, and we found ourselves to be the only ones in the tasting room. The room is large indoors and with ample seating on the patio outside for nicer days. The interior features a lot of wood themes with low tables as well as bar seating / standing for the actual tastings. Lots of open space, so it would be conducive to a group of folks or even a party! Upon arrival, we decided to do a tasting. We did a tasting with the only employee on the ground, who we learned is the daughter of the owner and brother to Nathan K. She was really lovely to talk with (loved chatting about city vs FLX life and the food scene in all parts of NY and PA with her), but she didn't provide the *most* detail and explanation for each of our wines. No big deal, but having a server or sommelier walk us through our tasting is our preference to really make the experience shine. The wine was solid - not our favorite that we went to, but their reds definitely stood out from the rest. We had a nice time chatting with our server, and we were happy that Nathan K himself walked through the room during our tasting so we could introduce Nathan K to Nathan K! We wound up leaving with a bottle of Cab Franc, which was one of our faves from the tasting and of course, bore the Nathan K label, which my husband adored. I would definitely like to make it back and enjoy the outdoor area with a more informed wine tasting in the future! But thank you for indulging my husband with his own labeled wine!

We collectively tried the olive ciabatta, three kinds of croissants, a flatbread, an epi bread, and maybe a couple of other things I am forgetting. Everything was delicious and very reasonably priced. I love the vibe of the place, I love the logo they stamp on their bags, I love that they threw in an extra pastry because we bought so much on that last day, and I love the location just across from the river. (First-time visitors should note that you enter the bakery from the back of the building that faces Water St.) Perhaps the strongest endorsement came from my partner's 14-year-old son, who gave the almond croissant a 10/10. When I asked him to rate the almond croissant that he loves from a bakery local to us, he gave it an 8.5/10. Follow-up questioning revealed that the chocolate croissants from the two bakeries merited a 9.5 and 8, respectively.
