The good: Nice bunch of guys. Respectful of property and notified us right away when a large branch they cut damaged a bridge. The bad: They need to communicate better with the customer to avoid mistakes. The Ugly: The crown raising they did resulted in ruining the look of a 50 year old pine tree that served as a lovely screen to an unsightly fence line. COMPLETELY DEVASTATED our 37 year old fruiting apricot tree. They assured me that they use certified arborists. The expert who assessed the damage was heart broken, "This is a crap job very done by someone that is not an arborist." PLEASE DON'T LET THEM RUIN YOUR TREES! They have done nothing to make it right! We will be taking them to court. But, they will never be able to u do the damage that has been done. The owners response to this post was not unlike my encounter with his staff. I was put on the defensive for being upset about the work they did. I described one of the employees to the owner and not to any employee. Furthermore, while the owner is going to try to make the customer look like the bad guy. I offered to take down this post if he chose to pursue to make this right outside the court room. He told me that, "Because I posted it, he will not send a crew to clean up or return to the site and will not be serving us again." The whole point of this discussion is their terrible job! He is not understanding that not only would I never use them again, but am so justifiably upset I'm taking this time to help others not have the same experience. My property management finally decided to use this business for the tree and shrub service for my property. After 3 other quotes from other arbor companies they used Arbor Pros. They arrived right at 8am as scheduled ready to go. I unlocked my gate and let them get to work. These guys were quick, efficient and friendly as well. I had 5 trees to be done and they completed the work in less than 4 hours. There were only 2 workers as well and still did it fast. This company worked for me last year. I asked them to clear out dead branches from a lot of trees to avoid fire danger. One of my beautiful old pine trees used to have healthy green branches going all the way to the ground, so that it formed a little hiding place for kids or a place to cool off. They gave that tree a bowl hair cut high off the ground, so that it is now ugly. (if a 50 year old tree can be ugly) My neighbors complained, thinking I had ordered it cut that way. I am very sad at the loss that will not be re-grown in decades. Then this year, Arbor Pros entered my property when a tree from my neighbors' yard fell on my yard. I came home to discover them working with lots of men and machinery on my property. They did not bother to call me in advance or to knock on the door to inform my husband of their need to cut and chip on our property. Huge damage resulted from that fallen tree and the work cleaning it up. I requested an apology for not notifying me of what they were doing. Apologies are apparently too much for this company. Recently, I hired Arbor Pros to thin out and shape a peach tree and to fertilize it as well as a plum tree in my backyard. They were quick to respond when I called and gave me a fair quote right away. They came at the agreed-upon time, went over what they were going to do and got right to work. They finished the job and let me know they were done so I could inspect their work, which I found to be excellent. I especially liked that they took pains not to inconvenience my neighbors, something that is always appreciated. I had a large cottonwood tree in my front yard that was starting to cause some issues lifting concrete, etc. Arbor Pros did a great job of removing the tree. They were supposed to remove the stump as well and they forgot or ran into an issue. The owner of the Co. called me within 48 hours and said they would come back out to do it...which they did the next day. They did not run the charges on my card until the work was finished. They accidentally cut a drip line that the stump had basically "absorbed" as it was growing over the past 20 years. They capped it off for me and let me know what had happened. It was not something they could have avoided in my opinion. Impressed that they communicated the issue AND fixed it before they left. Highly recommend Arbor Pros. We just had an amazing crew from Arbor Pros clear 46 trees away from power lines on our property as part of PG&E's Enhanced Vegetation Management program. These guys are simply amazing!
