The jetted Jacuzzi tub is divine. The bed is enormous, superbly comfy, and gorgeous. Room features private bath with BIG shower, vanity area with stool, and fluffy white towels. There's a small fridge on the private landing, stocked with bottles of water. Downstairs, enjoy a communal kitchen area with tea, coffee, snacks, wine glasses, a fridge with complementary juice, water, ice, fruit, and yogurts. We haven't had breakfast yet, but it is scratch made and sounds delicious. Our host, Rod, is welcoming and utterly charming. All COVID regs are being complied with! Jerry and Joanne were very friendly and informative hosts. They are very familiar with the island (both geographically and history) as well. I told the host that I'd really want to see bald eagle in a close distance if I may. Jerry told me all I need is to go the Double Bluff beach and pointed out exactly where I can see them. Wow!!! and yes, I do see the eagle couple in a close distance that day!! My room is beautifully decorated. A large window and very comfy chaise draw me very close to all the tall trees. From time to time, I saw plenty of birds kind of like flying next to me. Very cool. It is a forest setting room. I especially draw into all the paintings and drawings in the inn. There's a cabinet displaying some native american tools / arts as well. In room cable TV (and DVD), you have your own bathroom. The best of all, homemade delicious full breakfast (I dislike continental breakfast if I am in BnB, why do BnB if it is not for enjoying a good breakfast, right?). The location of this inn is good too, it is not sitting right in the the downtown (noisy) but just a minute away. Very convenient to go out enjoy lunch and dinner and then come back in the forest to rest. Oh, Jerry also knows about gold mining ... ask him where to find gold in the island when you visit there (wink wink!) And I forgot to add about the trails. This time I didn't do it because it rained pretty badly over the week, but for those love to explore the nature, check it out!

This bed and breakfast made our experience very special. Stayed in the garden suite and it was wonderful. Breakfast every morning was so good! The wildlife is amazing! Everyday we saw a set of deer with a mom deer and 2 twin babies, very sweet watching these animals while at breakfast. I wi) be back over and over again! I would book this plenty of time in advance because it's so wonderful they book up fast. It's worth the wait to have this fantastic experience! They're dog friendly and even gave our dog a little bed, bowl, toy and bone. They have daily happy hour from 4-5 pm with a savory and sweet snack as well as red and white wines. They have coffee tea and water available 24/7. Breakfast is from 8-10 and you sit and they serve it. Veggie breakfast was delicious. The rooms are super cozy. They even gave us two different pillow sizes, one more dense and more flat. Very very considerate. Close to the shops of Langley - literally a 1 minute walk. Overall amazing experience. The porch on the front of the property is lovely for sitting and enjoying the morning sun with loved ones or friends. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Or 2 couples. The loft features a king bed and its own bathroom complete with a shower. The main level features a nice simple kitchen with full size refrigerator, dishwasher and 2 burner electric cook top. The living space is comfy with an oversized couch two comfortable chairs and a perfectly sized dining noon table with room for four. There is also a queen size bed and a full bathroom also with shower. The views are spectacular over looking the Saratoga passage while off in the distance lurk the Cascade mountains. We were so lucky to have experienced both moon and sun rises each day during our stay!! The frolicking seals, numerous water foul and two crotchety herons welcomed us with all their natural glory!! The check in process was easy and couldn't have been more convenient!! We arrived late and entered our room with our issue. We were greeted with some delicious treats, cookies, gummies, trail mix and pop corners!! Such a lovely welcome surprise. There were fresh cut flowers and plenty of warm blankets to enjoy a lovely evening or morning sit in the nicely decorated deck outside. Couple of hot tips for those with an EV. Be sure to have the "Blink" app on your phone as there are 2 charges within walking distance through town. We waited till around 11:00pm when the chargers were vacant. We parked and charged the car as we slept. Grabbing the car around 5:30am when the charge ended. 7.6kw charges. Not fast but in this scenario worked very well for us. $17.00 bucks and the tank was full for another day of island exploration!!

I love summer in the north west with its long nights (doesn't even get dark til about 10 30 pm), beautiful sunsets and gorgeous summer weather. The Sunset Cottage makes it even better! It's right on the water overlooking Puget Sounds Useless Bay. In low tide you can even go clam digging! It's a private beach so you can build a bonfire with drift wood and enjoy the beach even at night when it can get chilly. The cottage itself is beautiful. It has one main bedroom and a smaller kids room as well as a fold out couch in the living room. The bed is super comfy with soft, high thread count sheets. There's extra Blankets and pillows in the closet if you want them. You don't need to bring anything except your clothes (bring a coat) and some food if you want to cook. The little kitchen is fully stocked with pots and pans and plates and utensils. It's also really close to Langley, a quaint artist town with a cute movie theater and lots of glass blowers and restaurants and bakeries. I recommend checking it out when when you're there. About a 15 minute drive. Overall my experience was very pleasant and I can't wait to go back. 2 thumbs up from me.

Everything from start to finish with this place was just absolutely magical. The owners were in constant communication with us - email at first and then via text to answer any questions we could have possibly had. They were prompt, courteous, and worked with us to make sure that our reservation was perfect. We stayed in the cottage. Let me tell you, it was a miniature paradise for the two of us. The Cottage: The cottage is extremely cozy. There are large windows in the main area offering spectacular views of the property and the island. The bed is one of the most comfortable I've found myself in in a very long time. There is a fireplace heater in the living room, a provided space heater for the bedroom, and a very efficient wall heater for the bathroom. Our whole stay was warm and cozy. Beyond that, the kitchen is fully equipped, there's a washer/dryer in unit, a tub, shower, and plenty of extra bedding/blankets/towels/etc. The small things: Awaiting us upon our arrival was a sign welcoming us with our names on it as well as champagne glasses and sparkling cider (it was new years). Additionally there was some granola and 2 gallons of fresh water provided just in case you're not comfortable drinking/using the double filtered well water. The owners also gave us their number should we need anything extra (including additional water/etc.). They were even kind enough to leave us some handpicked flowers from Pike Place during our stay. The Island/Property: WOW! The property itself sprawls behind and in front of the cottage offering ample opportunity to explore. Beyond that, it's only a nice 30 minute walk to Maxwelton Beach which offers spectacular views. There's still a ton more to do on the island that we hope to get to next trip. In simple summary: This place is absolutely amazing. Don't hesitate, book now!
