My group did a working retreat here, checking in September 30th, 2011…read more Although the paperwork agreed to said we could check in at 3:00 PM, Gina allowed our out of state group to check in much earlier. Thank you! The furniture was all on the newer side, in good shape and very comfortable. One thing somewhat missing from the photos are of the front and back of the property. If there were, you would notice the property is on a really steep hill and there are lots of stairs. From the street level leading to the house, there are perhaps 25 really steep stairs. It wasn't an issue for anyone in our group, but I can see some people with difficulty negotiating stairs having problems and would definitely not recommend this house for you. The stairs don't go away once inside. It is a 4 story house with stairs everywhere. The bedrooms were really hit and miss. All had some kind of flat screen tv inside which was a nice touch, however some were rather "unconventional". For example, one bedroom on the top floor was up against the roof line, losing headroom and made it difficult to walk in around the bed without crouching. But, let's face it... You aren't renting this house to stay in the bedrooms all day. Another thing I thought different from the pictures is the water... Again.. more stairs and a hill to go down, but the water is MUCH closer than the photos show. The hot tub was a wonderful getaway in the evenings when it was misting outside... Great to look out over the water and relax. We did notice a few nozzles on the hot tub were not working properly, but that was minor. The rear yard/ beach area seemed very private. I know there were houses nearby, but the tree lines, bushes etc made it seem very private! This house is spread over 4 levels... So although it is good sized, there wasn't one particular room our group of 12 people could all sit down in sofas together in... or even eat a meal together.... We managed to pull up a few kitchen table chairs to the main room and make due, and ate "buffet style" in two groups.... The kitchen table seats 8 and the sofas in the grand room seat 6 comfortably... so if you are looking for one huge room where everyone has a seat, this house kind of lacks there. I have pointed out the worst about this property... and it isn't that bad. I would go back here in a minute... In fact, we are thinking about a family trip next time we visit!

He offered to help me with my bags into the Zen Cabin. The wood stove warmed the cabin with its sparkling flames. He offered me some tea. I had seen pictures on the website- but lo and behold its real! Could it really be more beautiful in person? Yes it can! Erik has created a place that is warm, tasteful, uplifting, sensual, spiritual, comfortable and comforting. I stayed 3 nights. Zen River Retreat helped me to rest, recover from my hectic life---I was thankful for the quiet, the enchantment, the long soaks in the hot tub by the river. Days gave way to solid nights rest in the cozy comforts of a very nice bed's firm mattress. During my stay I was so happy to find the kitchen so well equipped; I had everything I needed to cook up my nourishments. Less than 2 hours from Seattle! I plan on going back in the every season to enjoy newly the place I love to call "my perfect getaway" to see nature's beauty unfurl along that delightful Lil' Quilcene River Erik likes to call The Zen River~~ He really did create a treasure for us to enjoy! The home is large, fully furnished, plenty of seating for everybody and plenty of amenities for us to relax and enjoy our evening. The linens are soft, beds are comfortable and rooms are well decorated. The entire home was very clean and well kept with games and books for everybody to enjoy! We had six adults and three children for the night and never felt crowded! Doug is amazing and very quick to respond with questions or any other needs. We locked ourselves out while watching the fireworks (the front door locks automatically) and he responded within just a few minutes so we could get in out of the cold! The only issue with the home is that it's impossible to enjoy all the home has to offer during the winter with check in not until 4:00 pm and check out at 11:00 am. We had absolutely no time to appreciate the beautiful view, well maintained yard and large back deck. Perhaps during the winter the check in could be a bit earlier since it gets dark so early. We stayed in Guesthouse #1 and would highly recommend it to any large family or group staying in the area.

There was wifi available but worked in only certain parts of the house, but it was still available which was great to look up what to do while travelling the area.

The granite counter tops and tiled floors in the kitchen and bathroom were beautiful and the living area was exceptionally clean. Each bedroom was about the same size and had plenty of room for belongings including a good sized closet as well as a large dresser. Wade and Julia, the owners, were very accommodating and Wade even pointed us in the right direction to fill our limit on crab that weekend. The Guesthouse is central to everything we wanted to do in Poulsbo. It's a 3 minute drive to downtown, with great shops, especially Sluy's Bakery (the best doughnuts/pastries ever). It's about a five minute drive to to the local casino, where we enjoyed an evening of relaxing, low-stakes gambling and it's about 15 minutes to the ferry landing when we wanted to enjoy a couple of days sightseeing in Seattle. I can't say enough good things about our experience at the Lemolo Greenhouse Guesthouse. Very highly recommended!

When we arrived at Treehouse Point, everybody was so professional and kind! We were given a quick tour of all of the amenities in the lodge and other community areas. Then, we were directed to our tree house, Ananda. Just wow! It was cozy as well as spacious, and it was very well appointed with everything we could possibly need! Even though there were other tree houses around ours, we ALL enjoyed total privacy. A great deal of attention has been made in creating personal experiences while still tending to developing a very unique community. All building materials in our treehouse were the best quality available, and the workmanship is second to none! We walked around the grounds, being respectful of others' privacy. Every tree house was unique and beautiful! We then took the trail down to the Raging River. It was beautiful, but our spring has been unusually dry, and the river a little thirsty. Overnight, a rainstorm came through the area. The sound coming from a refreshed river the next morning was breathtaking! I wanted to wake up so I could experience it all, but instead I slept through it. I guess I slept comfortably! (And I am not young.) The bath houses were beautiful and felt like individual spa rooms. They were supplied with wonderful bath products, and the shower offered a pampering experience. Similarly, special products and amenities were provided in our private unit, including coffee and tea. We were going to wash our few dishes, but no dish soap was found, further demonstrating Treehouse Point's intent to pamper their guests. After waking up in the trees, we prepared our own mugs of coffee, tea, and nibbles. After a peaceful start to the day, we made our way to the lodge for breakfast (feeding the fish along the way). Our own breakfast was absolutely wonderful! The chef and souz chef prepared several wonderful dishes. The selections and quality of preparation were both outstanding! Our visit was so wonderful that we truly didn't want to leave! We made the visit to fulfill a bucket list item, but we are already talking about returning again, this time with friends. I could go on and share more, but I want you to delight in your own experience, just as we had. If you've been considering a visit to Treehouse Point, wait no longer. You will never regret it!

Sleeping in a beautifully crafted treehouse, surrounded by towering evergreens and the peaceful sounds of nature, was pure magic. It's such a cool and unique experience -- cozy, serene, and unlike any traditional hotel stay. One of my favorite memories is making s'mores by the fire and enjoying them beside the running river. We loved it so much that we booked another visit -- but unfortunately, we ran into an unexpected childcare situation that meant we had to cancel. It was incredibly disappointing and honestly very inconvenient. We had been so excited to return, and having to change plans at the last minute was stressful. That's where Abbey Rodriguez truly shined. She was so gracious, kind, and understanding throughout the entire situation. Instead of making us feel like we were causing a problem, she stepped in immediately, handled everything with compassion and professionalism, and made what could have been a frustrating experience feel manageable and supported. Her warmth and willingness to help turned a difficult moment into one that actually deepened our appreciation for TreeHouse Point. Exceptional places are special -- but exceptional people make them unforgettable. Abbey's graciousness and care showed us that TreeHouse Point isn't just magical because of the treehouses and the forest (though those are amazing!) -- it's magical because of the heart behind it. We are so happy with TreeHouse Point and so grateful for the way we were treated. We absolutely plan to visit again soon -- and next time, we can't wait to be back in the trees where the magic began.

I booked with the owner for the first week a couple of weeks in advance. 1-2 days before the day, I hadn't heard back from the owner so I emailed. She said that her husband double booked it without her knowing. So now, I had to scramble to find another place on Whidbey that had vacation during the holidays. In the same email she told me it got double booked, she tried to offer me a different location. I was furious so I didn't respond, until she followed-up with another email asking if I got the email. I said I did and mentioned that I had another week off upcoming. She said that she would give me 10% off if I stayed during that week. I took her at face value (that they accidentally double booked) and less than a week before my second week of vacation, I asked to reserve it. She said it was open and quoted me for the full week, as well as per day. I told her I would like three days. Two days prior to my arrival, I get this email: "We just found out from out last guest that the hot tub is not working. I am guessing you want to use that? We are trying to get someone in to look at it tomorrow but have not heard back from him." This was the last message I received. No updates, no apology - didn't even address me by name. I get the feeling that this owner likes to "award" the place to the people who either pay the most or for the longest duration and cancels out on the others who have "reservations". If you choose to stay here, have a plan "B" or you could be like me - writing a negative review from home instead of being on a getaway.
