Requested both tree trimming and deep fertilizer on a large red maple and large silver maple. Tree trimming is definitely five stars- team arrived earlier did a great and communicated well. I had three bids and Arbor+ was competitive. Communication around the deep fertilizer treatment on the two trees had been average. Great experience from quote to follow-through. I'm hard to please and Arbor+ did just that. I contacted them to identify what was happening with our aspens. Jon, the owner, came by and put our minds at ease that they were not dying, but probably suffering from a fungus due to the wet spring we had. He didn't force any products or services on us...didn't even try to sell anything. He just made suggestions. Another question we had was about removing a willow, which he quoted for us. The quote was done via email and was easy to understand. The price was fair, so we agreed. The crews seem to be pretty busy, so our appointment was set for about a month out. The crew showed up and got right to work. This is what impressed me the most: a crew of 3 guys worked together like a band...everyone knew their role and didn't really have to say much to each other. Plus, watching them remove a 30' tree in a matter of 20-30 minutes was a lot of fun to watch. Something that stuck out to me was that these guys really cared about the job. I could tell they knew their tools, the tree, and what a customer wants. Each one of them was polite and professional. Plus, not many service providers are comfortable with someone watching their work, but I could tell they were so skilled and experienced that it didn't bother them. A couple days later, I started to move the stump shavings around and found that a significant portion of the root ball hadn't been ground down. I spent about an hour digging it out, but that resulted in very little progress. I emailed them to see if they could come back and get the last bit of stump removed and one of the guys, Nate, showed up first thing in the morning a few days later (today). Round 2 was a similar experience -- he was professional, courteous, considerate, and efficient. The whole thing is exactly the experience I want and expect from a professional services company. When I'm told what to expect and their actions match what they say, I'm happy. No surprises! I'll certainly use Arbor+ in the future for regular pruning and check-ins to make sure our little forest of aspens stays healthy and safe. read more

I had several bids and the one from Arbor+ was the most reasonable. Not only that, but they were by far the most professional. They arrived on time, got right to work, and didn't really stop until they were done. It was grueling work, too. They removed three HUGE trees from our yard during a rain/sleet/snow storm. Above all else, they even went WELL OUT OF THEIR WAY to help me move a heavy playhouse from our garage into our backyard--a task that was far too much for me and my husband to do on our own. Jon's team even took down a section of our fence for the sole purpose of moving the playhouse. It was above and beyond and then some! I can't thank them or recommend them highly enough! It's almost indescribable how difficult it is to find a reliable landscaping company that actually does good work. I called these guys because I needed some trees trimmed after I received a notice from the city. Amazingly, they answered the first time I called and scheduled someone to look at it the next day and give me quote. They showed up on time, gave me a reasonable quote for the trimming, and told me they would be out tomorrow even though they were booked for the next two weeks. The next day I came home and the job was done and done well. I would definitely recommend these guys for any tree maintenance jobs. read more

I got several bids to get two trees cut down and Arbor+ was competitive. They cut one of the trees down this morning, which took them an astonishing 45 min, vs the 3 hours I was told it might take from the estimator. The 3-person crew clearly knew what they were doing and were professional, efficient and polite. They will come back and take the other larger tree down in the wintertime. Make a note: It's cheaper to get a tree cut in the winter season. I needed today's tree cut down because I need to replace the fence it was impinging on. The various times I've used them, they've always been extremely responsive, very fair priced and got in and got the job done right. I was most impressed when they took down a huge cottonwood and pine tree in 4 degree weather for me during January. Worked tirelessly. If only all service companies were as great! John is a great guy! I hit a big tree branch up in a neighborhood by Westminster and needed someone to come look at it immediately. I called John and he met me there in 15 minutes on a Friday night, now that's service! We assessed the damage, pulled the tree branch off, I paid him and he had someone there the next morning to take care of the cleanup. We just moved into our first house this Summer, and I now have a mighty silver maple in my front yard. It looked as though it hadn't had a trim in years - and this just became more evident once Winter came and the leaves all fell. Well, I got a coupon in the mail for Arbor+ and contacted them for the advertised free estimate & competitive pricing. The estimate came quickly, and was very reasonable. I got estimates form four companies, and only one other company offered the same price as Arbor+. When I let Arbor+ know this, they knocked an additional 10% off their price. They came and did a marvelous job, and cleaned up. And when I called back with a concern about ONE branch, they came back and got that one too - at no extra cost. My 86 year old mother had them remove 3 Quaken aspens. They burnt with their equipment a 50 year old arborvitae in the process. It will never be the same. They then proceeded to put 8-12 inches of so called "mulch" on the surrounding flower bed. It is more like bark, pieces are 6 inches long and thick. When my mother reported that they left a mess, John told my mom that it would break down and make a great soil. So far all we have is adobe brick soil, so hard on top I could make a wall out of it. It's absorbing all the moisture from the soil, plants are struggling. It has taken my mother and myself several days and 8 garbage cans full of mulch and soil so far removed. I don't even know how to approach the problem and replace that much soil. We have just barely scratched the surface. My mom has used John several times before to remove trees, never had a problem, this time he just doesn't care. I think it's awful that you would do this to an 86 year old blind women, shame on you! read more

These guys are the ONLY ones of all the workers I've had lately to not only show up on time, but to be early! I've been so discouraged with so many companies who seem to think my time isn't valuable. In fact, I set my mind that the next one who stands me up definitely won't get my business. Didn't have to worry about it this time. They were all very professional and safety conscious. I was happy to find they were insured and were happy to give me a copy of their policy. They did an excellent job. For $2400, I had 6 trees cut down and poisoned (Chinese elms) and one huge limb cut back to the trunk on another tree as it was hanging over a neighbor's garage and I was afraid it would come down on the next snow storm. One of the elms - the largest one - had been attempted by two previous companies (see pictures if I figure out how to get them on here) and just see what Arbor+ has accomplished! Major difference in quality. They are super about cleaning up. They even took out a dead limb I had without my asking or paying for and they didn't say a thing about it. I just noticed it was no longer there. I told them they didn't need to clean up some of the debris they were taking care of because I was going to be spreading the chips all over the yard anyway, but they kept checking with me to make sure. My only critique would be this: I wanted to keep all the wood chips AND all the logs, which was a little difficult to get the crew to understand for awhile. I repeatedly told them this as they kept loading them into the truck until I finally said, "What's so difficult to understand about I WANT TO KEEP ALL THE LOGS AND CHIPS"? They ended up backing back into my driveway to dump it all as I had requested. Super, super workers and they did an excellent job. I wouldn't hesitate to hire them again and again. read more
