We had Diamond Tree Experts come and give us an estimate to remove one tree, grind down the roots, and haul everything away. The estimate came to $1505 which is $500 MORE than other companies! I let them know that I had a 30% coupon which would bring the cost down in line with other estimates I received. I was told after receiving the proposal that "no, that proposal already includes the coupon." What?? I haven't even given you the coupon yet. They said they give the "discounted" price to everyone. I feel this is very dishonest! Just stop the "coupons" and be honest with your price- which is pretty outrageous to begin with. read more

This representative from Diamond Tree Experts came to my home on a Sunday, ignored the signs, disturbed my sleep, and even stated that she'd seen my signs but rang the doorbell anyway. I don't lay all the blame on her, for it is her employer who should teach their employees about door-to-door etiquette and make sure to enforce that policy. Why would I ever hire a company that blatantly disrespects my privacy even before we've met? Body and the crew came out to the house yesterday and did a great job of carefully pruning a large Willow tree, large Cottonwood tree along with cutting down a few dead Aspen trees. They made good time too because they were able to use the truck bucket and cautiously move it over the garage and from the neighbor's driveway. They did all of this in the cold and rain and continued to stay professional and cleaned up the yard well afterward. I also really appreciated Body's arborist expertise and advice for the damaged trees. From the arborist who assessed what needed to be done, the people in the office, to the man in the cab running the crane, to those who cleaned up the back yard, this company and its crew did a great job of removing a very large tree in a very tight location. They also cut a pine tree 4ft up, paper work indicated 1ft and crew member said "sorry I just kept cutting." Very unprofessional!! read more

Like a previous reviewer, Heather D, they didn't complete the work as indicated and when questioned a few months later to complete the job, they gave me every excuse in the book why they couldn't accommodate. They ultimately wanted to charge me more to come back and completely remove one tree they previously "thinned" and would "thin" the other one for free. Again, I paid for both to be "thinned" in the first place. I asked for the names of the first crew to check their certification and, as expected, never heard back from them. No reply is their standard M.O. I ultimately called another company who evaluated the previous work and was told the original work was not done properly. Saw some work done by this company at a friend's house and the crew was very nice and professional, they did a great job. Had an arborist come to my house for an estimate on a stump removal and he was really great, explained the whole job. Unfortunately, when I called the office, the scheduler was really rude and the booking was over 2 months out. Called back to talk to a manager and she was equally rude and unhelpful. Decided to go with another company (Atlas) who has courteous office staff and could get the job done next week, albeit for a little more money. read more

Sent a knowledgeable arborist to assess the work we requested. The trimming crew showed up on time but I had to keep requesting they do more than thin out the middle portion of my trees. Some of my property was inadvertently damaged and the team manager advised me right away but when I requested Diamond provide a small refund to help with the cost of the repairs they flat out refused. I would not recommend their overall work and I was definitely disappointed that they would not help cover the cost of the damages they caused. read more

We had Diamond trim several trees and remove some smaller spruces (36"). They did a terrible job. I came home from work to see they had left huge rips in the bark, HUGE stubs were left in the trees (instead of making proper cuts on the branches), the small stumps were not taken all the way down, and the yard was only partly cleaned up. It looked like a complete hack job. After calling the company 4 times and begging them to send someone back out to fix the damage, I still have not heard from or seen anyone. If you want your trees healthy and professionally done, don't go with this company. read more

This is my second time using Diamond Tree Experts. I had to remove a dead Aspen tree and they gave me a very great quote. The estimator was very knowledgeable and noticed another of my Aspen trees was starting to die so they gave me a discount to do both trees the same day. My next door neighbor first recommended them to me and I am glad he did. They did great work both times I have used them. They gave me a very reasonable quote, were very friendly, very knowledgeable and also showed up when they said they would. They cleaned up any debris left very well. They were also quick to be there to give me a quote. I highly recommend them as the 2 times I have used them they have been excellent. read more

Let me start by saying I have never written a negative Yelp (or any) review for a company before. This is my first - and everyone should be aware. These guys should be called Diamond Tree Scam Artists. They got my business in February this year to trim three fruit trees, take down a large tree and grind stumps in my backyard. Their winter tree trimming promotion was going on, but I ultimately decided on Diamond Tree when I received a call from the estimator saying they could come to my house sooner than expected and grind the smaller stumps they had originally bid me at $75 for, for free while they were on site. There was snow on the ground at the time they came to do the job. We weren't told the snow would impact their work and were forthcoming about it being in our yard. They took down the large tree and ground the stump (we were told this would be ground below grade), but they didn't touch the smaller stumps because of the snow. They were smaller scrub oak stumps, no larger than 6 inches around, and, while slightly disappointed, my husband and I were OK knowing we'd have to take care of these ourselves in the end. Fast forward four months. My husband and I are re-landscaping our yard and after clearing the mulch left by the February stump grind, we discovered 6 vertical inches of the large tree stump protruding above grade (a three-foot-wide stump). We immediately called Diamond Tree to let them know about the situation and asked that they come complete the job. The estimator came a few days later and reviewed the yard. I was told by the estimator that the team likely did grind the large stump deep, just not as deep as we would have liked. (I'm sorry, but I think "below grade" means "below grade" - it's not up for interpretation). When I brought up that the smaller stumps weren't touched, due to snow, the estimator had no recollection of telling me they would ever include the other stumps for free. I reminded him of his call, but should have absolutely gotten this in writing at the time, because he would not honor the verbal agreement. The estimator wrote me a new bid to come back and re-grind the large stump (free) and the smaller stumps ($150). One day later. I just received a text message from the estimator saying Diamond Tree will NOT come to regrind the stump for free because "it's been six months and he (the boss) needed to know a lot sooner." (February - June... hm. And seriously?) I asked the estimated whether he could provide documentation that states a time limit for Diamond Tree to complete work - I have not received such document. My husband and I are incredibly disappointed with the absence of honesty, ethic and customer regard this company has. We will not use them again and would not recommend them to anyone looking for a quality tree service experience. read more

I just used these guys for the 4th time. The first two were for single tree removals in my last home, one of which was quite tricky due to location. The second two were for extensive work and I paid for a crew by the day. It is a bit scary paying by the day because it is not clear how much they will get done. These guys got more done than they anticipated both times and really cranked out the work. Each time was a different crew. I would not use anyone else. I am sure there are other good services, but when I get treated well I am very loyal. read more

What a terrific crew! They arrived early, got going well on time, and were done in an hour and a half. One big old cherry completely gone, two front-yard trees beautifully trimmed, and not a trace of any trash left on the ground. Price was already good, but they gave us a 10% discount for having the work done in winter-time. When the estimator came, he talked us through what needed doing, and suggested we get a cheap firm to do the work. My husband said "no, we want you guys to take care of it". What a great decision! Received three bids for two tricky tree removals and two crown trimmings. Diamond Tree's bid was lowest and they seemed like they had the expertise to deliver. And they certainly did. The crew was great, showed up on time, worked hard, and was careful to not damage the houses or fences in proximity to the trees. Would hire them again, even for the most complex tree problems. Only negative is that they were booked out a month plus, so I had to wait for the service. In my case that was okay, but might have been a dealbreaker if I had a more urgent need. read more

I was very impressed with how they could remove my huge tree without hurting the neighboring roofs. They were able to make the tree go exactly where they wanted it. They went the extra mile. Diamond Tree came out and removed a huge apple tree from our yard. The workers all arrived on time as expected, and worked hard and fast the whole time they were here (and each of the workers stopped, introduced themselves and shook my hand, a great added touch). We are very happy with the job Diamond Tree Experts provided. They arrived on time, explained every aspect of the job to be done, were professional and courteous and did an excellent job. We have a very large River Birch that is old and was in dire need of professional care. They diagnosed the problem and efficiently removed the portion of the tree that needed to be removed and shaped the remaining tree beautifully!
