We both had Jacob the masseuse - a young fellow who we both question if he was even a licensed massage therapist. The massage was such a light touch - it didn't help relieve any muscle tension for either of us and he skipped "massaging" my friend's arms all together! You have a significant upcharge for any "service" other than the basic light to medium massage (it was never even near medium) that included deep tissue, reflexology, anything. We both said to the front desk girl it was the worst massage we ever had! Girl shows mild interest and says "Oh? Sorry." My friend asked "Isn't there anything you can do for us?" Girl: "Umm...I could give you 10% off or you could come back tomorrow." Us: "No thanks. We'll take the 10% off." So, the $186 (!!) massage - $155 for 60 minutes plus a 20% mandatory gratuity add-on was minorly discounted. Gee....thanks. How about you get a qualified massage therapist instead? They count on one and done customers as they know they're not returning to this vacation island. Lakeside Spa has no right calling themselves a spa - absolutely terrible. They literally ripped us off as we didn't get what we paid for. Stay away from this place!

I asked for a shoulder and foot massage and she was basically rubbing my skin around with oil. In addition, we could hear a conversation happening outside. The entire hour we were waiting for the massage part to take place, but it did not happen. We were extremely disappointed considering how we paid over $200 for someone to rub our skin . It was a little heavy on the ice, likely because it was made by a barista in training, but the flavor was well balanced. It was smooth, not too tart, and not overly sweet. The only downside was that the extra ice made it difficult to stir. We also tried the Bird's Eye Latte, which was sweet, flavorful, and very enjoyable. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who prefers sweeter coffee drinks. On our second visit, I ordered the Maple Harvest Cold Brew. Since it uses real maple syrup, it took some effort to mix thoroughly, and I didn't notice the maple flavor until after stirring. We also tried the matcha, which wasn't sweet and had the rich, earthy green tea flavor that I love. Overall, I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great drink in Mackinaw City!

Nanette did an excellent job asking about areas to address for each of our massages. Nanette was thorough with using a variety of techniques to work out extremely tight areas. We included the facial massage and hot towels which felt great. Her space is serene and very clean, plus she has a sitting area where we sipped on tea while we waited for each other. Nanette was responsive to my inquiry, shared suggestions for restaurants and gave directions. Best of all, Nanette has a great sense of humor, excellent clinical skills and a pleasure to be around. The bathroom is in the middle and the front room has a bed, a sitting area and a small kitchenette. The room was comfy and fairly quiet for being in the middle of everything. The front desk was wonderful! I needed to get a scooter and they let me park it in the lobby overnight. When we planned the trip we wanted to stay at the Grand but after staying here we were so glad we were in town with so much to do and we could still go up and see the Grand.
