This place is fantastic. The staff is great and they have a lot of top notch h equipment. I was going there until I hurt by back. At 70 the classes were a little hard for me. I do miss their workouts. The classes were small and Aaron would change them for me. I lost close to 30 pounds going to see them once or twice a week. You can also pay by classes. read more

I recommend this place highly. Gotta give some love for my boy Nick (Beast)! Very good at what he does! From just carrying my excess baby weight for 2 years and barely working out (like I should've been) - Nick kicked my arse into high gear! He's a people person at the same time as being a good "get your butt up...you can do it" kinda guy! If you wanna get back into shape and tone up those curves...Nick is the guy. Check out his Beast Camp! He has helped me achieve alot of physical goals - like losing weight, gaining muscle and great endurance. I haven't personally trained with Aaron (ASAP) or Neil (ARC)...but they are just as good. I've seen everyone personally train with their clients and they all listen to you and focus on what you need or what you want to work on. ARC offers flexible hours if you cannot make it to workout/train. The staff are very friendly and professional. The facility is well kept and organized. The facility and the trainers offer programs for all ages - young and mature. You get your money's worth for every pound dropped and for every muscle gained. It is not a Crossfit place. It is a place of athletic training. The equipment offered there is endless. Not your simple little YMCA or park district fitness center. Come check out ARC...Do your training with Nick. If you are looking for a gym to give you confidence, make you feel welcome and have support from peers and trainers, this is the gym for you!!! I cannot express how happy I am with This gym. There are no gimmicks, it's welcoming and very comfortable. I have worked out with Sly since April and he pushes me every time. Every penny spent is worth it. As a strength athlete, specifically powerlifting and strongman, I need regular massages to keep my muscles, along with my tendons and joints healthy. I contacted Stacy, as I'm a week out from competing at Illinois' Strongest Man/Woman, and I've been having some troubling bicep tendonitis in both arms. Stacy worked the heck out of both of my arms, I'll admit that it was painful at points, but that's what I wanted and needed! The following day, during training, I felt zero pain. Normally I would've taken Aleve and used liniment strong enough to use on a horse. Stacy was able to relax my muscles so they were working for me, not against me. Started here 3 weeks ago for personal training program worked with Neil the owner. He took the time to listened and understood what I wanted as far as results. So he tailor made my work out I'm down 13 pounds as of today and this is worth every dollar so far. My goal is 60 pounds and I have no doubt I'll reach that goal. ARC is the perfect small gym for everyone. The staff is nice and welcoming. Even though it is a small gym it has everything one needs to get into optimal health. People who enjoy working out at smaller facilities without all the hustle of large corporation gyms should definitely check this place out! read more

I am writing this review because i feel Arc Performance is a great place to train or workout. I just started here on October 1, 2014 and am currently training with Slyvon Blanco. I have been training with Sly since February 1, 2012 though at a different facility. I left that facility to follow Sly because I am extremely happy with my results. Sly is motivating, educated, continually educated, dedicated and fun to have as a trainer. I am currently 59 years old and in the best shape of my life. I am happy to say that I workout 4 to 6 days a week and feel energized, motivated and confident. I owe that to both Sly and I because of the work we both put in to achieve the success I am looking for. I know I have some goals for the future and I also know I am at the right place and with the right trainer to achieve my goals! I also like the facility and the staff. Owner Neal along with trainers Sly, Nick and Aaron make you feel welcome and comfortable to be at Arc Performance. If you are looking for a place to train or do Boot Camp workouts I highly suggest you give it a try! I just started going to this gym a month ago because my trainer Sly switched to this gym. Sly runs fun and motivating Boot Camps as well as group and personal training sessions.
