I've been working out at VASA for a few months now and this is my honest review. The gym itself…read morehas great equipment and everything you would need to get a great workout in. The hours are extremely flexible being open from 4am-12am most days of the week and I really love that they have a big kids club for parents to be able to have childcare during their workouts. All the staff I've interacted with have always been very polite. Now for the not so good. Most hours of the day, this place is crowded. Certain machines that are extremely popular are very hard to get access to which requires me to wait around for the machine I need. I also get approached numerous times by people asking me how many sets I have left or if they can work in with me. There are a lot of people in their late teens/very early 20s that use this gym as a social club. They will utilize the machines together and stay on for over 30 minutes not allowing other members to have a turn. A lot of people do not wipe their equipment and there seems to be no signage or enforcement to encourage people to do so. I have also noticed that weights don't get put back in the correct spaces or at all in some cases with a few wobbly weight benches and divots in the floors next to the weight racks that you can easily trip in. I love the recovery room and red light therapy but I really wish that yoga was a part of the regular membership instead of requiring an upgrade. The locker room doesn't provide hair dryers, towels or any hygienic items as other gyms do. I'm continuing to use Vasa as of now, but I'm keeping my options open for other gyms in the area that would be less crowded.

Then proceeds to hit on her younger sister who's 16. He may still be there since the GM Brian stood by his side even after i submit complaints to him and my PT at the time, Dan. i think the assistant manager Nicole started hiring even younger girls too. Also the PT Andrea has her kid in tae kwon do and learning about asian culture and yet liked to repress and oppress me for singing or expressing myself through YouTube content. Koreans are loud and expressive people, we've been oppressed for it for centuries. Cultural appropriation much. I wonder if this review will even be published with all the censorship going on

My friend invited me to brunch at Midtown Athletic Club (they are a member). The public can't just…read morewalk in, there are gates in the lobby and I had to scan a code (and fill out my info) before entering. I visited Midtown before as a prospective member so I know that guests can only enter a limited number of times. We went upstairs past the cardio machines (they are plentiful) and the weight area to the cafe. There are tables and booths that overlook the outdoor pool area (closed for season). It wasn't a large brunch but we had some made-to-order omelets, bacon/sausage and fruit. There was also some potatoes and pastry. When I sat down to eat I received a text from Midtown about a membership. The brunch was bottomless although one omelet was enough for me. I also had two emails from Midtown when I got home, one a waiver of liability and the other a membership offer. I didn't join as a member on my previous visit and I am not going to join now. I already have a Pilates membership that includes three studios with classes from 6am-8pm. Midtown has a Pilates studio but none of the class times work for me. They also have some reformers in the middle of the cardio area reserved for private lessons. If I have a private lesson I would prefer to be in a secluded area, not in the middle for all to see. The facility has many machines, a boxing area, a cycling studio, a theatre, a spa, a cafe, courts, pool, etc and this is a great place for those who need this. There are families who spend the morning at lessons, classes, workouts, then join up in the cafe. This is great for those who are looking for this but it doesn't fit my needs right now.

And my wife thinks I look pretty good, so there's that, as well. The workouts are fast (less than 25 minutes) but leave you feeling like you've just had one of the most challenging workout. Kevin, Jim, Nate and the rest of the staff are knowledgeable, encouraging and professional. The studio is clean and organized.

I like the data-driven approach of a 20-minute session. Compared to the previous weight lifting and cardio exercises I did, Exercise Coach has been much more effective in the same four-month time period. Utilizing the data-driven targets keeps me focused and they challenge me to keep getting stronger, unlike most other gyms or fitness centers. The transformation for me has been not just physical but also mental. I knew when I began, I needed to lose fat and build muscle because I wanted to be stronger. A few weeks in, I joined the Metabolic Comeback Challenge and roughly lost 2% fat and gained the same in muscle in 30 days! Excited about this, I set additional goals including the monthly loss of 1% fat and a gain of 1% muscle. By focusing even more on nutrition and using the data to more effectively change my body composition, I have increased my strength and this anchors me mentally. I am more and more committed to this new body as I see less fat and more muscle! The overall studio environment is extremely appealing. Even when there are a few clients in the studio there is plenty of space and all equipment is immediately cleaned after use. My coach provides helpful tips and checks on nutrition progress, as well as my overall well-being. I told Coach Kevin recently that I am so grateful for Exercise Coach, especially for the accountability. If you are looking to get in shape with a structured and supportive program Exercise Coach is the way to go!
