Brought it back and all 8 backlights are renewed and itll hopefully get many more years. He helped me get it back up and running too. At first things didnt seem to be working, but after tinkering with it i found the issue and i factory reset the tv and that seemed to do the trick. It seems the tv was very cranky from being worked on and having its guts removed it needed a full reset. I wanted to wait a day or so before writing my review just incase something happened. But im happy to say everythings good! I would definitely reccomend this guy if you need your tv fixed right! His prices are very reasonable too. More affordable to repair my vizio model than to buy another outright.

Well, us, for work related transfers and as cinefile-s (some movies - and they're rare were never released passed the VHS era). I started to look into Electronic Repair stores in the area and there aren't many left. Not surprised, but it's LA, so luckily, there are a few left in business, like FET Electronics. I read the Yelp reviews, it was encouraging and bookmarked it! Fast forward 3 months later, we had another issue with a similar Panasonic model that we own, so we decided to give the place a shot. My husband called over, talked to Mark, the owner and felt reassured after their conversation because he identified the issues just over the phone. We stopped by one day and dropped them and met Mark, who is very nice, knowledgeable, a real professional. Not many like him left behind! Too bad that is a profession that is going away. You don't always feel like throwing out equipment that has an issue and get a new one, not always that easy for your set up. Everyone has their reasons! The place is in Burbank, on Burbank Blvd. (close to the Hollywood Way intersection), we found street parking in front. The store might seem small, but it goes all the way back! It's a geek electronics paradise, lots of audio equipment around. Mark also did work for major musicians like Van Halen among many others - check his photo gallery on the wall! Famed clients! We left the VCR-s, called in about 2 weeks and he fixed them, he was testing them to make sure! After a few days we picked them up, he checked them for us, and he gives you a 3 months warranty which is great. If you're in a rush, this might not work out since Mark is busy, but if you're patient, he will get it fixed in a few weeks. It's not cheap, but he gets high quality parts and it makes sense for the repair to last. If you have an old piece of equipment that needs to be fixed, Mark is the guy. Hurry in before he retires! He is very nice, kind, nice to chat with, reassuring, calm, and very, very knowledgeable, you will trust him on the spot. Closed in the weekend! Great experience, great place, hope it will be around for a while. It helped our situation and the location is great! Nice to get great service at a local small business in the area!

TL;DR: did not use their service, but they are extremely honest…read more Something was wrong with my camera because all my pictures had streaks of light on them. Also, there is a bright spot on my phone on the right side, which affects my wallpaper. I came into this place to have it checked out and see how much it would cost to repair. The tech took one look at the photo and said it's not the screen that's damaged. It's the photo is highlighting a glare in the background. He switched it to night mode, and the glare was gone, so it was clearly the photo I had as a background and not the screen itself. Also, I asked him about the streaks of light on my photos. He took one look at it and said that my lens cover is really dusty. He cleaned it off and we took a photo and all the streaks were gone. I wanna point this out because these are two things that any dishonest repair shop can easily say they will look at it and fix it and charge me $100-$200. Because of their honesty, this was a five minute visit where he did want adjustment and one lens cleaning and didn't even charge me. It's good to know that they are still honest repairman out there. If I do have a problem, I will be sure to come back here
