Wow! Arcade Monsters has quite the crowd! Before this place even opened, there was already a long line! I came here with a friend before driving to Tampa for The Eras Tour! The ambiance is dynamic, colorful, and vibrant, and looking around at all the artwork and gaming stuff is so stimulating! It only costs $20 to play all day (they will give you a bracelet to wear and draw something on the back of your hand with a marker before entering), so you can always come back later if you want to do other things or explore the St. Armands Circle area! Keep in mind that they do not accept cash whatsoever nor allow outside food or drinks. This place has games such as Star Wars Battle Pod, Mario Kart Arcade GP DX, Luigi's Mansion Arcade, a Punching Bag challenge machine, basketball, air hockey, foosball tables, Nintendo Switch consoles, pinball machines, Skee-Ball, rhythm games, and old arcade games like Donkey Kong 3, Paperboy, Ms. Pac-Man, Galaga, VS. Excitebike, Popeye, and so much more! There is also a second floor, which is an extension of the first one, and has a rooftop area to eat, sit, and relax, table games, and an outside view! You might have to wait a while before playing one of the more popular games, though. They have pinball, ski-ball, air hockey, foosball, racing games, guitar hero, dance dance revolution and so much more! There's something for everyone to play here. You pay $20/person and that gets you unlimited games all day until 2am!! We tend to play more pinball and normally these games are $1/game so that's a great value. They have two floors at this location and the second floor has an outdoor area with pool, large jenga and comfy couches/chairs to sit and enjoy the weather outside. I was getting a it hungry and noticed their large food menu. He told me about the new chopped burger that was added to the menu and wow was it delicious. It comparable to a Philly cheesesteak kinda of because the burger is chopped up and mixed with all the toppings. It was delicious!!! The staff (Josh particularly) was amazing! He was extremely fast and so nice to everyone. He really went out of his way to make sure we and everyone else was having a good time and had everything they needed. Took the kiddos for a little gaming this summer and this place is so fun! From the staff dolled up in their favorite cosplay, to the gaming and comic wall paper in the bathrooms, I was into it. They have your typical arcade games and more! Adults can have a cocktail at the bar, maybe a bit close quarters compared to Dave n Busters, but it's St Armands so smaller eclectic is trendy. There is even an upstairs open patio with plenty of seating, pool, jenga, fans...and patio lights. It looks like you can smoke outside and probably mobbed by young adults some nights, they have to hang somewhere but gtk as a mom of littles. Food/snack service doesn't begin until 4/5 pm but there's plenty of choices nearby. The $25 all day play is perfect I'm not sure if there is re-entry but that would be best, at least during the daytime. read more

Solid place to waste a couple of hours...Didn't try any of the food, but the arcade is kept up (almost every machine was working) and the place was very clean. Some real gems to point out here: a series of working pinball machines, a head-to-head Mario Cart racing game, and a few Japanese music games (with English translations) scattered about the place. Arcades are few and far between these days, so this definitely took me back in time. P.S. - My son stated it was his favorite thing we did that day. Bonus points for that! read more

Update after the owners response: I said 75 PERCENT weren't working (and we didn't stay after the ones we wanted were garbage) I did not say 75 games because I wasn't staying around to try that many of their "hottest games" when none were working. For us. To be clear on which ones: we tried Buck Hunter on the 2nd floor (only one gun worked and the girl behind the bar admitted she "meant to tell someone about that") we did the Mario themed booth close to the front door and that didn't work for both sides, skee ball didn't register many of our balls...I can carry on but obvious this a legit review if I know which games and where they are located. You entice people to leave good reviews before they set foot in the door for more free games and it's posted everywhere. read more

They now charge $9 to enter even if you are not playing games. $20 if you want to play games. It's basically an over-priced sketchy bar. The girls that sit at the front dress like someone you'd pay to see, and a not nice place (I'm channeling Halloween meets a strip club). Drinks at the sketchy bar are cheap and overpriced. What it comes to is finding something better because this place was lame before the increase in cost. Now that us parents have to pay to walk in make this place a hard "NO, never again".
