Even though I couldn't guide her on what kind of style I wanted or if I wanted it cut, Mardi was patient and professional, offering me a step-by-step plan on how she would help me get back to a full, thick head of hair. Everything she suggested worked! I have never trusted weaves or color or anything that was daring, but with Mardi's advice, I tried a few things. I cut back on heat in my hair by wearing weaves. I grew out a bad perm with this plan, alternating between wearing tracks and resting my hair in equal increments. The best thing about Mardi is her flexibility with scheduling and her creativity. I've called her and asked to come in at late hours and she was there with a smile. I've had a mess of a head and she whipped up a do that hid all the problems! I truly feel she's an artist and up-do's are her specialty. She also gave me a reasonable rate, based on how often I was coming in. I met Mardi at another salon that was the typical beauty shop that kept a lot of craziness going on. Since she's been at Capelli, I've always been comfortable and look forward to seeing the other stylists and many of the regular customers. Our stylist was Sophia and she was finishing up with a client. A few minutes later, we were greeted by the stylist and lead upstairs. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. She made my daughter's first haircut memorable and she loves the finished product. The process was amazing but it was a bit pricey. Instead, she heavily debulked my already fine hair and cut off several inches that I never asked to lose. I remember her turning me toward the mirror at the end of the appointment and instantly bursting into tears. I was devastated. My hair looked dry, uneven, and nothing like I had just left a salon. I was then ushered to the register and charged full price. Looking back, I still can't believe a stylist would let a client leave with their hair looking the way mine did. The photos speak for themselves: my hair was fuller and healthier before the appointment, and afterward I lost a significant amount of density and shape. I literally couldn't look in the mirror without crying for months. It has taken me a long time to regrow and recover from this haircut. I'm not writing this because I dislike Sabrina personally or because I'm seeking a refund. I'm writing it because I don't want someone else with fine curls to have the same experience I did (especially after spending over $200). This happened a while ago, and I sincerely hope her technique has improved since then. But based on my experience, I can't recommend her for fine curly hair.
